Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Mu Cheng brooded deeply, and suddenly, a flash of Spirit Light struck his mind: the improvement in Mu Hanyan’s strength, could it be related to this man? Otherwise, why would he help Mu Hanyan for no reason?

This unexpected thought, like shocking thunder, exploded in his mind! The enhancement of Mu Hanyan’s strength was because he had the aid of a mysterious benefactor!

Who exactly this benefactor was, Mu Cheng had no way to find out. He only knew one thing: he was no match for this benefactor, and with such a person backing Mu Hanyan, he was no match for him either.

Thinking of this, Mu Cheng felt a wave of despair. It wasn’t that he had to fight Mu Hanyan to the death to be satisfied, but having been pitted against him since childhood, and with his beloved woman harshly humiliated by him, how could he be content to be trampled underfoot by Mu Hanyan for a lifetime?

At the same time as he felt despair, Mu Cheng also felt a surge of anger.

Why had this high-ranking person favored Mu Hanyan, a playboy waste, and what made him worth being noticed? Thinking of this, hope suddenly rose in Mu Cheng’s heart again. In every aspect of talent and character, he was superior to that playboy waste. It was just bad luck that he hadn’t encountered this mysterious person.

As long as he had the chance to meet him, he too had the opportunity to receive his guidance, and the chance to triumph over Mu Hanyan.

Yes, that’s it! He must find a way to meet this mysterious benefactor. The man had already left, and definitely, the opportunity was lost today, but as long as he kept close to Mu Hanyan, the chance would eventually come.

Thinking about stealing Mu Hanyan’s corner and lastly stepping on Mu Hanyan’s head, Mu Cheng excitedly clenched his fists.

After a moment’s thought, Mu Cheng quietly withdrew. To steal another’s corner, one must not be too overt, to avoid alerting Mu Hanyan. This matter needed a long-term plan.

If Mu Hanyan knew what Mu Cheng was thinking, he would inevitably sigh in exasperation. Big brother, making up stories is an illness, one that truly needs to be cured.

Meanwhile, the ”corner” in Mu Cheng’s mind had already drifted a hundred miles away.

”Sir, the Dragon Blood Stone is also a rarity, a strange treasure. Why not take it while we could?” A subordinate, shadow-like in his sudden appearance, asked with curiosity. This subordinate was the most boisterous and youngest of them all.

As soon as he finished his question, another subordinate behind him immediately covered his mouth and dragged him away. The one silencing him was an older and more mature subordinate, internally criticizing him, What a fool, completely lacking Eye Power. No wonder you can’t win over the girl you fancy. With that brain of yours, it would be a miracle if you did manage to catch her. Haven’t you realized yet how much the boss cares for that playboy, Mu Hanyan?

Furthermore, it was evident that the boss had saved the playboy; how could he possibly steal something the playboy wanted? But still, I’m worried. Could the boss genuinely be...? Could the boss truly have such feelings for that playboy... ahem ahem! Child’s talk, pay no heed. No, absolutely not, things are definitely not as I imagine.

Nonetheless, it’s truly puzzling how that playboy could so easily break through the defenses of the Dragon Blood Stone when even they could not do so readily. Very strange, indeed.

Ye Lanfeng glanced at these two men but said nothing. He slightly turned his head toward the direction where Mu Hanyan was.

”Sir, shall we head to Shanyang City now?” the subordinate asked as he approached.

”Mm.” Ye Lanfeng nodded, not saying much more. He took the lead and began to walk forward, with several subordinates quickly following behind him.

...

Mu Hanyan watched as several people practically ransacked the hillside of its strange flowers and herbs, stopping only when everyone but Mu Hanyan himself had their hands and shoulders laden with bundles both large and small.
