Mr. CEO, You Look Strangely Familiar

The package was, surprisingly, from Marlon Marshall.

Jean Grant scrambled to pick it up, her heart pounding with panic.

Inside was a single sheet of white paper with one sentence written in a bold, flourishing script.

The words were simple, yet they struck her heart like a death blow.

It read: I’ve been released from prison over seven months early. Wait for me.

”Mom, Marlon’s out of prison!”

Mrs. Grant heard this and looked skeptical. ”But wasn’t he supposed to be in for several more months?”

”I don’t know, I don’t know!”

Mrs. Grant took the paper from her daughter’s hand, read it, and frowned. ”Maybe he found out you’re getting married and is just trying to scare you.”

Jean Grant sank onto the sofa. ”Mom, we have to have security in place tomorrow. We can’t let him get anywhere near me.”

”It’s okay. You’ll be leaving from our house, not a photo studio. I’ll hire extra people.”

Even so, Jean Grant couldn’t shake her unease.

She had been about to go out, but on second thought, she decided against it and went back to her bedroom.

Lying there, her heart was still pounding with fear.

’She’d thought she still had a few more months. She never expected him to get out so soon.’

Restless and anxious, Jean Grant called Nicholas Ainsworth.

”Hello? Where are you?”

”...”

”Oh, can I come find you now?”

”...”

”Okay, I’m coming right now. I really want to see you.”

”...”

After hanging up, Jean Grant changed her clothes and, making sure to bring a bodyguard, went to a KTV lounge.

It turned out to be Nicholas Ainsworth’s bachelor party. A few of his buddies were celebrating his entrance into the halls of matrimony.

By the time Jean Grant arrived, Nicholas Ainsworth had already had a lot to drink.

She sat down next to him, and Nicholas draped an arm around her shoulders. ”Jean, you’re here?”

”Why have you had so much to drink? You should stop...”

”I’m fine...” He poured her a glass. ”Here, drink this.”

Jean Grant took it and downed it in one go.

As soon as she finished, he started kissing her passionately, his hands wandering restlessly over her body.

Jean Grant grabbed his hand. ”Your friends are all here. Don’t...”

He chuckled. ”Take a look at what they’re doing...”

Jean Grant looked and her face instantly turned red.

Every one of them was locked in a passionate kiss, inseparable from their female companions, who may or may not have been their girlfriends or paid hostesses.

”Are those all their girlfriends?” she asked in a low voice.

Nicholas Ainsworth smiled. ”Aside from you, they’re all temporary.”

With that, he staggered to his feet and said to his friends, who were in the middle of their fun, ”We’re heading out.”

”Alright.”

”Take it easy.”

”Drive safe.”

Nicholas Ainsworth nodded and led Jean Grant out.

The two of them walked to the parking lot and got into the car.

Seeing how much he’d had to drink, Jean Grant helped him into the passenger seat and got behind the wheel herself.

”Nicholas, where are we going?”

”Home.”

His own home, of course.

Jean Grant drove the car to the entrance of the Ainsworth Residence.

She helped him out of the car. The butler saw that Nicholas Ainsworth was drunk and immediately rushed over to help support him.

”Which room is his bedroom?”

”Upstairs.”

She pushed open the door, and Nicholas Ainsworth fell face-first onto the bed. ”Water...”

”Oh, coming.” She hurried to get him a drink, waiting on him hand and foot.

After he drank the water, the room fell silent.

He rolled over and looked at her with narrowed eyes.

”Jean... do you truly and sincerely want to spend your life with me?”

”Of course. Did you think I was just faking it?”

He shook his head and took her hand. ”I just feel like this is all a bubble.”

Her hand touched a crucial part of him. She smiled. ”Still feel like a bubble now?”

Nicholas Ainsworth pulled her into his arms, then slowly guided her head downward until she undid his belt.

He stared at the ceiling, eyes wide, as a tight sensation stirred his passion.

One thing led to another.

That night, they slept together. It was Jean Grant’s first time staying at the Ainsworth Residence.

「The hospital corridor was quiet.」

Nora Ainsworth, with her two little boys in tow, saw it was getting late. ”Leon, we should go back.”

Leon Lynch nodded. ”Alright. See you, little ladies, we’re heading out now.”

The two little girls nodded.

Leon Lynch drove Nora Ainsworth and her two boys to the entrance of Quentin Grant’s villa in the upscale residential complex.

Quentin Grant was already waiting by the door. As soon as the car stopped, he strode forward. ”What took you so long to get back?”

Leon Lynch leaned his arm on the car door, flashing a devastatingly charming smile. ”What’s the matter? Afraid I’d keep Nora and not let her come back?”

Quentin Grant clearly didn’t take him seriously. ”Save it. I could flick you into outer space with one finger, if you’d rather not find out the hard way.”

”Leon, come in for a cup of tea before you go,” Nora Ainsworth said calmly.

”He’s so rich, what does he care about our tea? He can go home and drink it. It’s not like he’ll die of thirst on the way,” Quentin Grant said hurriedly.

”Sure thing.” Leon Lynch, however, nonchalantly raised an eyebrow at Quentin. ”How could that be? Your tea is much more exquisite. I’m already tired of the stuff at my place.”

At this critical moment, the two boys remained strategically silent.

Quentin Grant took Nora Ainsworth’s hand and led her into the courtyard first.

Leon Lynch and the two boys followed behind.

This was Leon Lynch’s first time at Quentin Grant’s home.

He was stunned by its sheer size. He’d had a friend buy a villa in this same upscale complex before, but when he visited, it wasn’t even one-fifth the size of this place.

”Godfather, can you give me a bath later? I’ve been out all day and I’m all sweaty.”

”Of course! Why not?”

Elmer Grant climbed onto his back while Dylan Grant hung from his neck. Leon Lynch had suddenly become their male nanny.

Just as well. Quentin Grant and Nora Ainsworth had gone to their bedroom, leaving Leon to look after the kids. Forget about tea; he was here to give the two boys a bath.

And while he was at it, to extend his stay a little longer, he joined them in the bath.

”Godfather, your balls are so big! Did you drink Little Deer milk powder when you were a kid? My mommy said the tainted Little Deer milk powder makes kids’ heads get really big. Is that what made yours so big, too?”

Leon Lynch: ”...”

”Our godfather’s admitting it,” Dylan Grant said as he jumped into the tub, splashed the water, and sat down comfortably. He glanced at a certain part of Leon Lynch. ”Our future godmother is going to be one lucky lady.”

Leon Lynch finally spoke. ”You two are really something... Your godfather doesn’t even know any women right now. Where am I supposed to find a godmother for you...?”

”You’re lying, Godfather! That woman with your mom at the mall today, isn’t she the one you’re supposed to marry?” Elmer Grant accused.

”But Godfather doesn’t like her and doesn’t want to be with her.” ’As for Maeve Sutton... if he was ever going to be with her, it would’ve happened a long time ago.’
