Mr. CEO, You Look Strangely Familiar

”Bossy!” she breathed, her face turning a rosy pink. She wrapped her arms around his neck. ”Darling, in all the years I was away, has another woman ever come into this room?”

He flashed a grin that made her want to hit him. ”How could there not have been? You know how much charm your man has, don’t you?”

”...”

”Really?”

He said with certainty, ”As true as can be. See? There’s a woman standing right in front of me now, isn’t there?”

She laughed. ”Hmph, I’m ignoring you now. You’re just teasing me.”

He quickly grabbed her as she tried to walk away, pulling her flush against him.

”Where do you think you’re going, little lady?”

Nora Ainsworth squirmed a little before leaning into his embrace as he held her.

The two of them held each other close.

”What are you doing?”

”What do you think?” He lifted her into his arms. ”Let’s go to sleep. We can finally be together without a care. I want to sleep in with you.”

Nora Ainsworth nodded. ”Mhm, I’m tired too.”

Quentin Grant carried her to the bed. They lay down and pulled the covers over themselves.

”Oh, right. Jean is getting married the day after tomorrow. You should go. Tomorrow, we’ll buy new clothes for you and the kids. Throw out all your old stuff. Your man has more than enough money.”

Hearing this, Nora Ainsworth huffed, ”You can’t just waste money, no matter how rich you are.”

”I earn money for you to spend. Spend it however you like.”

Nora Ainsworth burrowed deeper into his arms. ”Quentin Grant, besides making money, tell me, what other good qualities do you have?”

”Hmm...” He mulled it over. ”I have way too many good qualities, an explosive amount, really. But I’ll give you a simple description of the most representative ones.”

”Go on...”

”First, I’m handsome, of course. A face like mine... tell me, how many people, at home or abroad, can even compare?”

Nora Ainsworth said nonchalantly, ”That Lillian Bancroft...”

”Him? He looks like a girl. How could he possibly be more charming than me? I’d crush him in an instant.”

’What a cocky man. His sons are just like him.’

”What’s the second?”

”The second is my education, of course, and the third is my capability. Simply put, those three alone are already pretty incredible.”

”I admit, everything you’ve said is true.”

Quentin Grant held her tighter. ”From now on, I won’t allow anyone to bully you. Even if our sons say it’s okay, I won’t.”

Nora Ainsworth said nothing. She just closed her eyes and drifted off into a deep sleep.

*

The next morning, Nora Ainsworth woke up very early.

She prepared breakfast for her family of four.

Just as she finished, she went to call the two children down for breakfast, only to find their room completely empty.

She went downstairs and out of the living room, where she saw the two boys in the distance, holding a horse stance in the yard.

”Dylan! Elmer! Breakfast is ready!”

”One moment, Mommy!”

She hurried over to them. ”What are you two doing?”

”Holding a horse stance.”

The captain walked over with a chuckle. ”Young Madam, the two young masters insisted on practicing. They have five minutes left.”

Nora Ainsworth crouched down to look at them. ”Have you two been at this for twenty-five minutes already?”

”Mhm. It’s our first time, so we’re keeping it short,” Dylan Grant said through gritted teeth.

”Alright, then. I’ll head back to the living room. Come back as soon as you’re done. After breakfast, we’re all going shopping at the mall.”

”Okay.”

”Mommy, is Daddy up yet?”

Nora Ainsworth shook her head. ”Not yet. I’ll go wake him up now.”

She turned and walked back toward the living room.

The last five minutes were excruciating for the two boys, but they persevered. The captain couldn’t help but marvel. ’As expected of the Young Master’s children. Their willpower is on another level.’

When the two boys returned to the dining table, they found it was just the two of them.

”Daddy’s so lazy. Mommy went to get him ages ago and he’s still not down. He’s a grown-up, but he’s worse than us kids,” Elmer Grant grumbled as he climbed onto his chair.

Dylan Grant replied with the maturity of an old soul, ”What do you know? They’re probably busy making us a little sister. It’s understandable that it’s taking a while. Think about it, if they rushed it, what if the little sister they made was missing an arm or a leg? What would we do then? You can’t just start over.”

Elmer Grant thought for a moment, then hummed in agreement. ”That makes sense. Let’s eat first.”

When the two were halfway through their meal, Nora Ainsworth and Quentin Grant came downstairs, holding hands.

”Did you sleep well last night, my treasures?” he asked, pulling out a chair and sitting down.

”Very well. Did you and Mommy sleep well last night, Daddy?” Elmer Grant shot back.

”Also very well.” The words were barely out of his mouth when he noticed Elmer Grant’s exceptionally mischievous grin. Quentin’s expression immediately darkened. ”Is there some other meaning behind that question?”

Elmer Grant shook his head. ”Not at all.”

”If you have something to say, just say it. Don’t bottle it up, it’s not good for you,” Quentin Grant said as he ate.

”Daddy, we’re going shopping with Mommy later. We won’t be back for lunch.”

Quentin Grant paused. ”You want to eat out?”

Elmer Grant shook his head. ”We want to go see our godfather.”

”Your real father is right here! Why do you need to see your godfather? No matter how close you are, he’s still not your real dad. And you’re taking your mommy with you, too? Are you two really my sons?” he protested.

”Daddy, are you jealous?”

”...” ’He would never admit it.’

”Don’t worry. Your sons are still loyal. We’d never encourage Mommy to dump you for someone else.”

”Did I say anything? Go ahead and see him. No matter how many times you do, your godfather will never measure up to my length, anyway.”

Nora Ainsworth: ”...”

Dylan Grant put down his glass of milk and chuckled. ”Daddy, could you be more specific? The ’length’ you’re referring to is...”

”My height.”

”...”

After breakfast, the family of four drove off.

Nora Ainsworth had originally planned to drive the two children straight to the mall, but to her surprise, the boys insisted on visiting the Grant Group first. Their excuse was that ’the first visit is for getting acquainted, the second is for feeling at home.’ They wanted a preliminary look so their next visit would be smoother.

Nora Ainsworth agreed. They got out of the car and walked toward the Grant Group Tower together.

Before they could even walk up the steps, they were mobbed by a swarm of reporters who had somehow gotten word of their arrival.

”President Grant, are these twins your sons?”

”President Grant, have your two illegitimate sons been officially accepted into the family? Your ability to keep a secret is truly remarkable~”

”President Grant, do you and Miss Ainsworth have any plans to marry?”

”President Grant...”

Quentin Grant was holding Dylan Grant, and his mood had already soured the moment he heard the words ”illegitimate sons.”

’Damn it, ”illegitimate sons”!’

Seeing the veins bulging on his forehead, Nora Ainsworth whispered, ”We’re at the entrance to your company. Mind your image.”

Quentin Grant exploded with a curse. ”FUCK! They’re already calling my sons ’illegitimate,’ and I’m supposed to care about my image? What the hell is an image worth at a time like this!”
