Mr. CEO, You Look Strangely Familiar

Elmer Grant couldn’t take it anymore. Furious, he dashed over. ”You fatty! Who are you calling fatherless?! I’ll teach you to run your mouth! See if I don’t beat the crap out of you!”

Fatty took a punch to the face and let out a squeal like a stuck pig. He twisted his chubby body, trying to dodge Elmer Grant’s attack.

But when Dylan Grant joined the fray, Fatty was completely cornered.

And so, the children of Class One stared wide-eyed at the spectacular scene unfolding before them.

It was over in a flash, but the consequences were disastrous.

The once fair and chubby Fatty was all beaten up. His face was scraped, and his nose was bleeding.

Then the teacher arrived and took Fatty to the hospital.

An hour later, the teacher returned with Fatty’s mom in tow.

She was a heavy-set woman who didn’t look very old.

”So you’re the two who ganged up on my son?” Fatty’s Mom was so angry that her entire body, flab and all, was trembling.

”Well, he was talking trash about us behind our backs! We wouldn’t have hit him otherwise,” Elmer Grant shot back.

”So that gives you brothers the right to hit people? Look what you did to my Fatty! Get your parents over here! You’re going to pay his medical bills, plus compensation for emotional distress, physical trauma, intentional injury, and a bullying-the-weak fee!”

”In that case, you should compensate us first,” Dylan Grant said coldly.

”Oh, will you listen to that? You hit my son, and now it’s our fault?” Fatty’s Mom glared. ”Believe it or not, I could pick you two up and toss you in a river to drown!”

Dylan Grant sneered. ”If you drowned us, it wouldn’t be a matter of compensation. They’d take you away to be executed, wouldn’t they?”

”Hmph. For a little kid, you sure know a lot... You little brat, you said we’re the ones who should be paying compensation. Go on, explain yourself.”

Dylan Grant’s little face was taut as he said, ”Is there even a need to explain? A moment ago, you said we needed to compensate you for medical bills, emotional distress, physical trauma, intentional injury, and a bullying-the-weak fee. Well, I’ve done the math. You should be compensating us for: emotional distress, a picking-on-someone-smaller-than-you fee, a hurt-feelings fee, a threats-and-intimidation fee, a slander-and-verbal-abuse fee, an intentional-injury fee, and an assaulting-our-ears-with-foul-language fee. There are more, but let’s just start with those. So, you tell me, who should be compensating whom?”

Fatty’s Mom’s eyes went wide. ”’A hurt-feelings fee? A picking-on-someone-smaller-than-you fee? An assaulting-our-ears-with-foul-language fee?’ Are those even real things? You’re this little, and this is how your parents taught you to behave?”

”They didn’t,” Dylan Grant stated calmly.

”See? You admit it yourself...”

”Let me finish. I was going to say, while my mommy never taught us this, she *did* say that for every good deed, a devil will go one better. We don’t bother people who don’t bother us. But if someone tries to bully us, then pissing them off until they drop dead isn’t going too far.”

Seeing that she couldn’t get through to him, Fatty’s Mom said, ”Fine. I’ll wait right here until your mommy comes to get you. I’m dying to see what kind of parent raises such a sharp-tongued child.”

”Would you like to come into the classroom, then? It must be tiring standing out there.”

Fatty’s Mom stomped into the classroom in a huff. Dylan Grant glanced back at Elmer Grant. ”Let’s go inside, too.”

Fatty’s Mom sat down in Fatty’s seat, which was right in front of Elmer Grant.

During free-play time, after she had been sitting there for over half an hour, she got up and went to the restroom.

When she came out of the restroom ten-odd minutes later and plopped back down on the chair, she felt something was a little odd about it, but she didn’t give it a second thought.

She sat there just like that until school let out.

The dismissal bell rang, and the children started heading out the door hand in hand. Just as Fatty’s Mom went to stand up, she discovered she couldn’t.

Her pants were stuck to the chair.

”Quick, go get your teacher!” She spun around to glare viciously at Elmer Grant. ”You little punk, did you do this?”

Elmer Grant shrugged. ”Proof. Don’t make accusations without proof.”

Then, he swaggered out with Dylan Grant.

The classroom was nearly empty. Fatty’s Mom had no choice but to stay put. After all the students had left, the teacher came in to lock up and was surprised to find her still there. ”Fatty’s Mom? What’s the matter?”

”Teacher, hurry, I can’t get up...”

The teacher rushed forward. ”Let me help you...”

But Fatty’s Mom waved her away. ”My butt is glued to the chair! Teacher, please, you have to do something...”

The teacher took a closer look and saw that it was true—her pants were stuck fast with super glue.

She had no choice but to call over other teachers and the principal. Together, they managed to yank the chair out from its spot. Then, they carefully laid the chair down, and with several teachers pulling on the pant legs, they finally managed to wrench the pants off.

Fatty’s Mom stood there in her underwear, shivering. ”Let me borrow your phone,” she said. ”I have to call Fatty’s dad and have him bring me some pants.”

The principal frowned. ”Who did this?”

Fatty’s Mom declared with righteous indignation, ”It was definitely those two twins! This isn’t over until I get a proper explanation! Call their parents! I’ll be waiting here at the kindergarten tomorrow morning!”

The principal nodded. ”Alright, Fatty’s Mom. Come back tomorrow morning. I’ll have Elmer Grant and Dylan Grant’s mother apologize to you.”

Ethan Ellsworth announced that Chloe had returned.

This made them the target of interview requests from every media outlet.

The full story had to be made public.

But they couldn’t give an interview to every outlet. To that end, the talent agency arranged an exclusive interview with the most influential media group.

That afternoon, Ethan Ellsworth attended the interview with Chloe and Dorothy.

The interview host was someone Ethan Ellsworth knew personally—an artist from Zenith Talent Agency.

Everyone got into position.

The host ran them through the interview questions, and then the cameras got into position for the live broadcast.

With the director’s call of ”Action!”, the interview began!

”Hello, everyone, and welcome. Several years ago, the kidnapping of Chloe Marshall became a hot topic of debate across the internet. Her presumed death in a plane crash left a lingering sorrow in the hearts of many. Then, just a short while ago, the newly inaugurated Supreme Leader of Harrowin revealed his First Lady—a woman who looked identical to Chloe Marshall. This sparked a new wave of speculation. Today, she is back, and she has returned with her daughter. In this exclusive interview, we will uncover the real story. Now, let’s welcome the reunited family of three to say hello.”

Ethan Ellsworth had spent two years in Harrowin, where he’d gotten a healthy tan. But since returning, he had spent more time indoors, and his complexion had lightened considerably. With the addition of makeup, he was as charming as he’d been two years ago, looking just as young and handsome.

He picked up the microphone, his face radiating a clear sense of happiness and contentment. ”Hello, everyone. I’m Ethan Ellsworth. Sitting beside me are my wife and daughter. As you all know, Chloe Marshall was once my assistant. And this little girl here is our daughter, Dorothy Ellsworth.”
