Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 218: Chapter 218: The Hapless Eldest Sister 33

Jiang Yuhua’s expression slightly darkened, ”What peasant woman, that’s your second sister-in-law, show some respect.”

”Pah, what second sister-in-law, how could a peasant woman be worthy of being my second sister-in-law? I refuse to acknowledge her. If it weren’t for her, my second brother wouldn’t have died.” Zhong Liqi looked disdainfully at Yuan Chun.

Yuan Chun wasn’t used to tolerating her.

She walked over, raised her hand, and smacked her several times.

It left Zhong Liqi dumbfounded.

Jiang Yuhua was also shocked, ”Yuan Chun, don’t get angry, don’t use your hands. Your aunt just has a sharp tongue, but a soft heart. All these years, she has still cared about you.”

”Ahhh... you little bitch, how dare you hit me, I’ll fight you to the death...”

Once Zhong Liqi snapped out of it, she pounced at Yuan Chun, but Yuan Chun effortlessly kicked her, sending her flying into Zhong Li Jing and his son, who were returning from buying liquor.

”Xiao Qi...” Zhong Li Jing quickly handed the liquor to his son, helped his sister up, and saw the handprint on her face, looking utterly shocked, ”Xiao Qi, what happened to you, who hit you?”

”Who else could it be, that little bastard hit me. I’ve told you not to recognize her, yet you insisted on bringing her to Beijing and even letting her come home for New Year’s Eve dinner.” Zhong Liqi angrily glared at Zhong Li Jing, ”Big brother, why? You know I don’t like that bastard, yet you still brought her home. Do you not want me anymore, not want me to come to your house for New Year?”

Slap, slap, slap...

Before Zhong Li Jing could respond, Yuan Chun raised her hand and slapped several more times.

Yuan Chun, full of hostility, glared fiercely at her, ”Who do you think you are, to insult my parents? My mom was my dad’s legally wedded wife, and I am my mom’s biological daughter. You keep calling me a bastard, not only insulting my mom but also my dad. I think you’re the bastard, you don’t look anything like my uncle at all, you must be the bastard.”

Yuan Chun retorted bluntly.

Zhong Liqi, furious, lunged forward to hit Yuan Chun, but Zhong Li Jing held her back, ”Xiao Qi, calm down. Back then, you loved to play with Xiao Ming the most, and he often bought you the little toys you liked. Among our siblings, your bond was the closest. After Xiao Ming died, you never mentioned him, and now you’re treating his only living bloodline so harshly. Can you really bear to do that?”

”Hmph, if it weren’t for second brother, I would have already hit her with a broom.” Zhong Liqi grumbled, tears streaming down her face, ”Big brother, I’m going to second brother’s house. I won’t spend New Year at your place this year.”

Zhong Liqi didn’t want to cry at her big brother’s house during the New Year, but she couldn’t help it.

She wiped her tears as she headed to the backyard.

Jiang Yuhua wanted to stop her, but Zhong Li Jing said, ”Let her go, she’s been misguided by my mom since she was a child.”

Jiang Yuhua sighed, ”We’re all family, it’s the New Year, it’s not worth getting upset over small matters and ruining the holiday spirit.”

”It’s all my fault, Wenwen suffered because of me.” Zhong Li Jing quickly admitted his mistake, ”I should have told Xiao Qi earlier not to return home for New Year, and about second sister-in-law’s matter... I should have disciplined Xiao Qi sooner and made her realize her mistakes, it’s all my fault.”

”Uncle, it’s alright, it’s not entirely your fault, I just didn’t expect Aunt to have such a big prejudice against my mom and me.” Yuan Chun was very disappointed, her face dark.

Zhong Li Jing and Jiang Yuhua felt a pang of heartache looking at her.

Jiang Yuhua glared fiercely at her husband, ”Go to the backyard and tell Xiao Hui and his wife, they must keep Xiao Qi at their house for the New Year, don’t let her come to the front yard again.”

”Understood, dear.”
