The Yellow-Haired Villain in Soaring Phoenix's Novels Also Desires Happiness

”Manager.”

”Is there something you need, sir?”

Seeing Muen gesture to him, the manager immediately walked over with a smile.

Muen studied him for a while and had to admit that his service was unbelievably good. Even though he was facing customers who were freeloading, he could still be so patient and attentive.

On another set, as the son of a duke, Muen would already have been unable to resist taking out a large tip to praise his excellent professionalism.

Unfortunately, on this set, there was no elegant duke’s son. There was only...

”I don’t really need anything.”

The corner of Muen’s mouth curled into a wicked smile. He sat sideways in the chair, then loosened his collar, slightly revealing his broad, sharply defined chest muscles.

A wicked smile, wild and uninhibited, along with that head of yellow hair—he was simply the perfect villain template... Even Muen could not help lamenting that he truly was a naturally gifted player in this regard. With only a slight move, he had reached a peak that countless veteran performers could hardly attain.

”If you don’t need anything, then...” The manager blinked, clearly also very surprised by the change in Muen’s aura at this moment.

”I only want to ask the manager one question.”

Muen tapped his fingers against the table several times, perfectly displaying the faint anger he was holding back.

”Why... did I ask for two cups of coffee, yet you only served one?”

”Huh?”

The manager froze when he heard that.

”...One cup?”

”That’s right! I ordered two cups, but you only served one... Are you making fun of me?”

”Th-That... How could that be possible? Sir, could you be mistaken? I clearly served two cups of coffee. Didn’t your female companion drink the other one...”

”Where?”

Muen picked up the coffee cup Miss Dragon had just drunk from. His fighting spirit circulated invisibly, and the small amount of coffee remaining inside was quickly evaporated. He showed it to the manager.

”Look. Where is there any coffee in this cup?”

”This...”

Looking at the completely empty cup without even the slightest trace of liquid, the manager visibly fell into a daze.

”I asked for two cups of coffee, but you only gave me one...”

Muen slapped the table and shouted, ”Aren’t you bullying an honest man?”

”H-Huh...? I didn’t. I absolutely didn’t...”

The manager became flustered. He could not understand how he had clearly served two cups of coffee, yet it had suddenly become one... Of course, if he looked carefully, he would clearly be able to see the traces of powder left at the bottom of the cup after the moisture had evaporated.

Naturally, Muen had deliberately left those traces behind. He had never intended to force the manager to do anything. He only wanted him to realize that Muen was deliberately making an unreasonable...

”I’ll bring you another cup right away, sir!”

”Hm?” This time, it was Muen’s turn to be dumbfounded.

”To think I made such a basic mistake. As a café owner who prides himself on being professional, I have truly failed too badly!”

”Wait... Take another careful look at this coffee cup...”

”There is no need to say anything more, sir. This is all my fault!”

The manager looked deeply pained.

”How shameful. More than twenty years of experience have simply been fed to the dogs. I’m not human. I am guilty! Please wait. I’ll bring you another cup right away, sir!”

”...”

A few minutes later, Muen’s mouth twitched as he looked at the coffee giving off a rich fragrance.

This wasn’t right... I’ve already acted this wickedly. Can’t he tell? Why isn’t the plot following the usual routine at all?

”Please enjoy, sir. And these pastries can be considered my apology. There is no need to worry about payment either. After doing something like this, how could I still be qualified to make a customer pay?”

The manager gave him coffee and pastries, then directly bowed ninety degrees in front of Muen, filling Muen with an overwhelming sense of guilt.

However, it was impossible to stop now. Since Plan A was useless, he could only use Plan B!

A sharp gleam flashed through Muen’s eyes. He pretentiously picked up the coffee and took a small sip...

Delicious.

He had to admit that the coffee this guy made had already reached two-thirds of An’s level.

But the fact that it tasted good could not make the slightest trace of mercy appear in his wicked heart!

Right now, he was a magnificent and handsome villain!

”Manager... What is this?”

Halfway through drinking, Muen suddenly pinched his fingertips together and displayed a...

Golden hair in front of the manager.

”A... A hair?” The manager’s eyes widened.

”That’s right, a hair. Why would there be a hair in this coffee?” Muen slapped the table again and erupted in fury. ”You actually gave a customer coffee with hair in it. Are you trying to poison me to death?”

”N-No... How could that be possible...? After all the tableware here is washed, I wipe it at least five times. How could there be a hair?” The manager found it unbelievable.

”Could I possibly be deliberately making things difficult for you? Look carefully. This hair...”

Muen moved his hand a little closer.

”This golden hair!”

”A golden... hair.”

”That’s right, golden!”

At this moment, there were no other customers left in the shop. There were only Muen and the manager, while the manager’s own hair was black. Therefore, there was basically only one possible source for this hair.

Muen felt pleased with himself.

I’ve already gone this far. You should be able to notice that I’m deliberately causing trouble...

”I’m terribly sorry!”

The manager bowed deeply again. His body was so flexible that his head nearly struck the floor.

”To think I made such a low-level mistake again... I’m truly terribly sorry!”

”???”

Muen directly wore the face of a confused black man.

No... Buddy... This isn’t right!

”Although this hair is exactly the same color as yours, sir, I believe you would never do something like this. I must have carelessly overlooked something at some point! Please rest assured. I will definitely compensate you properly, sir!”

”...”

”This is a lifetime free-coffee voucher for our shop. Please accept it, sir!”

”...”

”Is this still not enough? That makes sense. How could a mere lifetime free-coffee voucher make up for the psychological shadow left in your heart, sir? Here is a free-pastry voucher. This one is also valid for life!”

”...”

”And there is no limit on the number of people or the amount. You may bring anyone you like, sir. I will definitely use the full extent of my twenty years of skill to provide you with perfect service!”

”...”

Muen finally could not help covering his face.

Free? For life? No limit on the number of people or the amount?

Putting everything else aside, if I call back the person from earlier and let her eat as much as she wants, wouldn’t you go bankrupt on the spot?

Even if I know that everyone here is stupidly innocent and sweet, there should still be some basic logic!

This was too terrifying.

If everyone in this entire city was like this, Muen felt that if he had slightly fewer moral limits, he could trick every woman in the city, from eighty years old down to eighteen, into becoming pregnant!

Fortunately, he was a devoted and good man.

”It seems I was mistaken.” Muen took a deep breath and calmed himself down.

”Sir?”

”Sorry. I should have been more direct.”

Muen stood up and took the large pile of various vouchers from the manager’s hands. However, before the other man could show even the slightest smile, Muen tore all of them into pieces.

Then he directly lifted the manager up like a chick.

”Sir... You... What exactly are you trying to do?” It seemed that only now did the manager finally sense the thick, evil villainous aura surrounding Muen. He shrank his neck and asked while trembling.

”Robbery.”

”Huh?”

”Can’t understand me? Rob... bery.”

Muen tilted his head.

”No matter how peaceful this place is, you should still have this word. You understand what it means, right?”

The manager nodded vigorously.

”Then this will be easy.”

Carrying the manager, Muen walked to the entrance of the café, opened the door, and threw the manager outside.

The manager instinctively tried to come back inside, but Muen kicked him away... Of course, he did not use much force.

However, his expression was perfectly done. He said viciously,

”This is a robbery. This place belongs to me now. Understand?”

”B-But this is my shop...”

”If it isn’t your shop, could it be mine?”

”You robbed me of my shop. What am I supposed to do?”

”What are you supposed to do? Of course, go find someone who can stand up for you. Do I even need to teach you something like that?”

With a bang, Muen slammed the door shut.

Knock, knock, knock...

The door was soon knocked on again. The manager seemed unwilling to give up and loudly tried to persuade Muen to return his shop.

Muen could not be bothered to listen. He rested his cheek on one hand and continued sipping the coffee little by little.

Only after several minutes did the knocking stop. The manager finally gave up and left indignantly.

”Sigh...”

Muen also sighed.

”Being a bad person... really is exhausting.”

...

About half an hour later, the tightly closed door was suddenly kicked open.

Several burly men rushed inside in a stream and completely surrounded Muen.

”Are you the one who robbed this café?”

The leader was a square-faced middle-aged man. He looked upright and righteous, forming a sharp contrast with the wicked and uninhibited Muen inside the café at this moment.

”That’s right. It was me.”

Muen’s eyes lit up. He secretly thought that the people who were supposed to come had finally arrived.

”Hmph, interesting. Robbing a café in broad daylight. This is the first time I’ve ever encountered something like this!”

The middle-aged man examined Muen for a moment. Without saying much more, he waved to the people behind him.

”Take him away!”

Muen did not resist. He allowed these people to escort him out of the café and walk toward a certain part of the city.

Muen looked from side to side and discovered that all of them wore the same uniform.

It seemed that just as he had guessed, even in such a peaceful city, there were still the most basic organizational management and structures for maintaining order.

These people were probably similar to the local security patrol.

Since they were responsible for maintaining public order, then next they should take him, the robber, to...

”Huh?”

But as soon as they arrived at their destination, Muen was directly dumbfounded.

”Where is this?”

Because what appeared before his eyes at this moment was not the administrative institution or security patrol headquarters he had expected, but a simple two-story building.

The small building did not look luxurious and was somewhat old. Its walls were covered in moss. No one was probably living there, but it was clear that people still regularly maintained it. The surroundings were quiet and secluded. It was a fairly nice residence.

But the problem was...

Why had he, a criminal, been brought here?

”Be happy.”

The square-faced middle-aged man turned around and patted Muen’s shoulder with gratification.

”This will be your home from now on.”

”???”

What the hell?

Home?

Muen had already lost count of how many times today he had worn the face of a confused black man.

”What do you mean, my home? Why did you bring me here? I’m a robber!”

”I know you’re a robber!”

Two tears actually squeezed from the corners of the middle-aged man’s eyes.

”You must have robbed someone else’s house because you had nowhere to live, right? Don’t worry. From now on, you have a home!”
