Tycoon: I Have an Unlimited Modifier

On the flight home, the guys were still reminiscing about the beautiful women of Thailand.

When they occasionally glanced at the two popular Thai actresses accompanying them, the corners of their mouths couldn’t help but twitch.

In the name of ”winning glory for the country,” Qi Sheng had managed to snag Thailand’s two hottest actresses.

The women who’d kept them company were all quite nice, of course.

But everything suffers by comparison.

”The bachelor trip is over. Ah Nan won’t be this free anymore.”

Wang Han’s original plan had been to also take a trip to Indonesia and the Maldives.

But Jiang Nan couldn’t hold out any longer.

If he didn’t go back soon, Yan Xiaofei was going to come hunt him down.

In the end, they only spent two days on Phuket Island.

”Don’t talk about it. From now on, you guys will just have to enjoy all the beautiful women in the world for me.”

Jiang Nan said with a grimace, waving his hand dismissively.

At least he’d had one last little fling before getting married, so he had no regrets.

And learning some Thai had definitely paid off.

...

They landed at Pudong Airport.

Qi Sheng had his bodyguards escort Jiang Nan and the others home.

He then took Davika and Peng Caina to the Universal Entertainment headquarters.

Arriving at the foot of the Jingyao Qiantan T6 Building, they gazed up at the magnificent office tower.

A flicker of excitement flashed in Davika and Peng Caina’s eyes.

”Darling, is this the company we’re going to sign with?”

”Yes. Let’s go in.”

Qi Sheng smiled and nodded, leading the way out of the car.

Davika and Peng Caina followed closely behind him.

The high-end, brightly-lit office building was an eye-opener for the two of them.

Compared to Shanghai, Bangkok felt like a small country town.

There was simply no comparison.

”Chairman.”

Many employees greeted him as he walked by.

They were also extremely curious about the two beautiful, exotic women trailing behind him.

17th Floor, Chairman’s Office.

Qi Sheng gestured for the two women to make themselves comfortable, then pressed a button on his desk phone to summon Lin Meishan.

”Chairman, you were looking for me?”

Lin Meishan looked a little surprised when she saw the two stunning women in the office.

”These two are the most popular actresses in Thailand. I want to establish an international talent management department, and I want you to be in charge of it.”

”For now, they’ll be the only artists signed to it. If any suitable film or television projects come up, you can recommend them.”

Qi Sheng didn’t beat around the bush and got straight to the point.

”No wonder they looked a bit familiar.”

Lin Meishan rarely followed the Thai entertainment scene, which was why she hadn’t recognized them immediately.

”Boss, are you and them...?”

Thinking of her boss’s personality, Lin Meishan had a pretty good idea of what was going on.

”Ahem. Peng Caina is quite good. Focus on developing her career. Give them both A-Level contracts.”

If Lin Meishan still didn’t understand what he was implying, she wouldn’t deserve her high-level position.

”Understood. I’ll pay special attention to Miss Peng Caina.”

Lin Meishan sighed inwardly.

’It’s impossible for our company’s female artists to escape the boss’s clutches.’

’Although, it seems they’re more than willing.’

’So there’s really nothing to be said.’

”You two, go with President Lin to her office. She’ll go over the specific terms of the contract with you.”

Qi Sheng casually spent 500,000 to implant ”Thai Language Proficiency” into Lin Meishan.

This would ensure there were no communication problems between them.

It would also make it easier for Lin Meishan to manage their business affairs back in Thailand.

According to the system’s evaluation, language-based abilities weren’t very expensive.

Unlike acting abilities.

The price to upgrade those was ten times higher.

Once the contracts were signed, Qi Sheng planned to arrange a Mandarin teacher for Davika and Peng Caina.

Then, he would upgrade their Mandarin abilities.

’If they want to make it in this country, they have to be able to speak Mandarin.’

...

After Lin Meishan left with the two women, Qi Sheng pressed the button on his desk phone and summoned Yuan Kai to hear his work report.

”Since its release on the 13th, *Accidental Killing* has grossed 600 million at the box office. We project it will reach 1.2 billion by the end of its theatrical run.”

”*Youth* finished its run with a final box office of 1.545 billion. After deducting acquisition and marketing costs, as well as the service fees for the advance from the Industrial and Commercial Bank, we’re looking at a net profit of 330 million.”

”The three major streaming platforms are currently offering a joint licensing price of 15 million each for *Youth*.”

”Unless we’re willing to grant exclusive streaming rights, it’ll be difficult to get that price any higher.”

”As of now, the company has 1.83 billion in liquid assets.”

”We’ve gathered the full final payment for the deal with the Lujiazui Group!”

As he finished, Yuan Kai’s face was filled with pride.

To be able to come up with 2 billion to buy a building in just a few short months was unprecedented in the Chinese entertainment industry.

The sheer power of a major company was on full display.

”Good. Don’t keep them waiting. Finalize the property transfer for the office building as soon as possible, then mortgage it with the Industrial and Commercial Bank to free up some capital.”

Qi Sheng wasn’t worried that spending this 1.6 billion would affect the company’s daily operations.

With *Accidental Killing* performing so well, more and more revenue would be rolling in soon.

”Understood. I’ll contact President Jia right away.”

Yuan Kai smiled and nodded. He had clearly been looking forward to this day for a long time.

After a few more words with Yuan Kai, Qi Sheng dismissed him.

He then looked over the list of projects awaiting greenlight.

Besides *Thirty Years Old* and *Imperial Gifted Coroner*—which Qi Sheng had personally selected to promote Gu Pan and Zong Lin—the rest were all scripts the company had gathered independently.

They had been discussed by the screenwriting department and submitted as potential projects.

Many of them were projects Qi Sheng had never even heard of.

Qi Sheng took a red pen and drew a large X over them.

Universal Entertainment wasn’t short on cash, but there was no need to waste money on such garbage projects.

’If Universal Entertainment produces it, it has to be a masterpiece.’

That was the standard Qi Sheng had set for Universal Entertainment!
