---Night Time---

Alaric was alone in his office as he browsed the System Interface on items that he could use to sell.

’There’re lots of things here,’ He thought as he mentally scrolled down while playing with the quill pen. ’Okay... I’ve decided to choose these...’

Buying one of each, Alaric closed the System Interface as the items appeared on top of the desk out of thin air.

’I’ll name the Ichiraku Ramen Instant Noodle Cups as’Ramen’, Uchiha Fire & Spice Hot Sauce will be ’Hot Sauce’, He thought while looking at the the items, ’Konuichi Beauty Mask will be ’Beauty Mask’, and lastly... the Sage’s Herbal Infusion Tea will be named as ’Celestial Tea.’

Getting out a piece of paper from the compartment of his desk, Alaric wrote a few things in relation to the items in front of him.

Ramen/Ramen Cup - Premium food for cheap price. - 2d. Per pc.

Hot Sauce - Spicy sauce for dishes. Caution: Keep out of reach from children. - 3s. Per pc.

Beauty Mask - Apply on face for 15 minutes before removing. Caution: Keep out of reach from children. - 10s. Per pc.

Celestial Tea - Premium tea that promotes calmness and has soothing aroma - £5 Per Box.’

After writing all these down, Alaric nodded in content.

’I haven’t tasted the Ramen, Hot Sauce, and Celestial Tea Bag,’ He thought, looking at them. ’Let’s test them with the others.’

*Knock Knock*

’Great timing,’ Alaric smirked as he called. ”Come in!”

The door to his office opened, revealing a haggard Jonathan as the Assassin closed the door after coming in.

”You calm now?”

”...”

Jonathan didn’t reply but kept walking, and stopped in front of Alaric.

”Who are you?” He questioned, trying to maintain his composure, ”W-What are you?”

”Hm? You already know my name though?” Alaric smirked, folding his arms. ”I’m a human, like you.”

”Lies!” The Assassin screamed, ”Th-Those eyes...”

”What eyes?” Alaric raised a brow, as his eyes were clearly blue. ”Anyways, answer me...”

”I thought news fly fast, don’t the Assassin Brotherhood know of my existence already?”

The youngest Kenway questioned as the man in front of him furrowed his brows.

”Yes... years ago...” Jonathan replied, still glaring at Alaric. ”The brotherhood received a letter from Helena... a child by the name Alaric Jonathan Kenway had the physical abilities and thought process of an adult, killing a templar...”

”I came to recruit you to our brotherhood... however,” Jonathan murmured but sneered on the last part. ”You... you’re dangerous. You’re working with William Penn, a man of the Templar Order.”

”Why... why did you sell yourself to the Templar Order despite knowing the truth!?”

”Do you wish to have everything under your control as well!?”

”...” Alaric didn’t reply as he let the man finish. Not once did he cut off Jonathan’s statements and questions.

”Figures... I know I can’t kill you, but don’t think nothing will happen by leaving me alive!”

”What do you think will happen?” Alaric finally spoke. ”What’s your rank in the brotherhood, anyway?”

”Since you couldn’t kill me, did you plan to kill my family?” He sighed and shook his head in disappointment. ”You couldn’t even spot my disciple when he was hiding in the curtains when you lost your head. Your head would be falling the moment you show hostility on anyone here.”

Alaric pointed his finger to the curtain behind him, where Reuben was hiding when Jonathan ’confronted’ Alaric a while ago.

”Hmm... if I were you, what would you do to kill me?” Alaric cupped his chin in a thinking position. ”Poison my food? Nah... poison doesn’t work on me... shoot me with a flintlock pistol? Too slow... Nah, you can’t kill me.”

”...”

”Assassin’s are good at gathering information, but I guess not you, Jonathan,” Alaric sighed then stared at the Assassin’s eyes. ”William Penn is not a part of the Templar Order. However, he is under the command of King William III, who may or may not be a part of the said Order. I am neither a Templar, nor an Assassin.”

”...Then what are you a part of?” Jonathan doubted but asked, ”Someone as wealthy as you should be backed by an organization of some kind.”

”None... I’m not a part of anything,” Alaric smiled and got up from his seat to look at the moon behind the window. ”I’m just someone trying to be as wealthy as possible... and organizations? I don’t need that, I have a rich and inluencial business partner called William Penn. What organizations do I need?”

”...”

”You better thank whatever God you worship that you didn’t kill him. I would’ve tortured you and annihilated your entire brotherhood.” Alaric continued, then turned his head to look at the Assassin.

Despite the Kenway’s light attitude, Jonathan felt the weight of the words he received.

”Anyways... why don’t you boil some water and bring the two kettles in here, call everyone here the moment you come back,” Alaric ordered while folding his arms. ”Reuben and Thulani, too... bring some cooked meat, and tea cups for everyone while you’re at it.”

”...What?”

”What do you mean ’what’?” Alaric raised a single brow. ”You’re still the butler of this family.”

”Ah- Yes... I mean,” Jonathan composed himself up as he hesitantly nod. ”Right away...”

The Assassin’s response made Alaric chuckle as he shook his head and turned his sight to the moon.

’I wonder if there’s someone like Kaguya that’s sealed in the moon... or people like Toneri living there...’
