System in Assassin's Creed

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: I’m so fucking rich...

Alaric opened the tavern doors and looked around. The tavern was quite empty, to say the least. The floor creaked under his steps as he moved further inside.

The Tavern Keeper noticed him immediately. ”Are you lost, kid?” he asked.

Alaric, not knowing what to say, blurted out, ”Me and my mum are new in town, she sent me here to rent a room.”

The Tavern Keeper stared at him for a moment before nodding. ”Do you have the money, lad?”

’That worked? Not even noticing my peasant clothes? Damn... must be my handsome face.’

Alaric nodded and walked closer. ”Yes, how much?” he asked.

”Ain’t cheap in this tavern,” the Tavern Keeper replied, ”5 Reales,”

’That is expensive... but it’s fine...’

Alaric pretended to grab something out of his pocket and withdrew 5 Reales from his System.

He handed the money to the Tavern Keeper. The keeper nodded and said, ”Follow me...”

Alaric followed him upstairs. The Tavern Keeper stopped at a door, opened it, and said, ”You and your mother will stay here. Do you have anything you want to order for tonight’s dinner?”

Alaric replied, ”I don’t have any more reales in me, I’ll wait for my mum to decide.”

”Okay then,” said the Tavern Keeper. ”If you have anything you need, I’m right by the bar.”

”Thank you,” Alaric said.

Soon after, the Tavern Keeper went down to the ground floor. Alaric began checking every room. He walked from door to door until he reached the last door near a window. He pressed his ear against it and heard loud snoring.

’Jackpot,’ he thought.

He tried to open the door slowly, and it opened with little resistance. ’I’m surprised, but maybe he’s just too drunk to care about security,’ he mused.

Inside, he found Dorris sleeping on the bed. Dorris was completely naked and reeking of booze, snoring loudly.

’He really does have it small... poor guy,’ Alaric thought, a wry smile forming on his lips.

Not wanting to waste time, Alaric continued his self-made mission. He looked around the room and noticed a cabinet in the corner.

There were no clothes scattered on the floor, so it seemed the room was tidied up before any fooling around began.

As Alaric approached the cabinet, he saw that it had a lock. ’How the hell am I supposed to find the key?’

...

Of course... stupid me...

He recalled the feeling when he had used his chakra in a controlled way before.

He closed his eyes briefly, and applied minimal use of chakra to his very eyes. When he opened them, his eagle vision activated.

He scanned the room and spotted something shining with a gold hue. It was the key, hidden beneath the bed. Alaric picked it up and immediately used it to unlock the cabinet.

Inside, there were many items.

A neat stack of clothes, several small pouches, and a wooden box.

’Hehehe... this is the fucking lottery!’ he thought, unable to hide a grin.

Without wasting another second, he reached for the pouches and started checking their contents. These were all reales, he then deposited them in the system.

He opened the wooden box and found more reales inside. He fed the contents into his System.

’Yes babyyy...’ Alaric whispered, excitement bubbling in his chest.

After looking at his balance, his eyes widened as he saw something that caught his attention even more.

A FUCKING RUBY!

’It’s so red! It has to be at least 10 carats! Who the fuck is this guy!?’ he thought in disbelief.

Not wasting a moment, Alaric opened the System interface again.

[Buy][Sell]

He mentally pressed the [Sell] button, and the System changed format.

[Items:]

[Ruby - Blood Red Pigeon - 10.2 Carats (1x)]

He proceeded to sell the ruby.

[+80,000 R]

[Current Balance: 82,707 R]

”Shit,” he muttered aloud.

’Oh my god...’

’I’m fucking rich...’

’I’m so fucking rich...’

---

Alaric closed the cabinet and locked it back, then placed the key carefully beneath the bed.

He slowly stepped out of the room and looked around. Fortunately, there was no one in sight.

Satisfied, he returned to his room and suringly locked the door.

Sitting on his makeshift bed, Alaric opened his System interface.

[Buy][Sell]

He mentally clicked [Buy], then a list of items appeared on the screen.

[Konoha Hitai-ate – 100 R]

[Konoha Flack Jacket – 15 R]

[Kakashi’s Mask – 5 R]

[Kumo Hitai-ate – 100 R]

[...]

’Umm... How is there no search button?’ he thought, scratching his head. ’Transformation Jutsus?’

Immediately, another list popped up.

[Henge no Jutsu – basic jutsu for disguises. – 500 R]

[Jiongu – grants immense power and extends life by transforming the body with additional organs. – 5,000 R]

[Face Copying Jutsu – upgraded version of Henge no Jutsu that even keen eyes cannot detect. – 1,000 R]

[Shadow Mirror Body Changing Method – Permanent Henge. – 7,000 R]

[...]

’There’s a lot of them... but I only need Henge though,’ Alaric mused.

He mentally clicked [Henge no Jutsu] and the System updated his balance.

[-500 R]

[Current Balance: 82,207 R]

’Nice... let’s try,’ he thought.

He pictured Edward’s appearance as he performed hand seals, then mimicked the three hand signs and applied a small burst of chakra. With a little puff, he looked into a nearby mirror.

There, he saw his reflection shift slightly, as if his features morphed into a familiar face. ”Of course it’s me...” he admitted silently.

Not much change really, since Alaric and Edward were cousins.

’This will be really useful,’ he thought.

After deactivating the Henge, Alaric browsed the System for items related to farming. Another list appeared.

[Wood Release – Kekkei Genkai combining earth and water. Grants Wood Style. (Senjutsu item prices decrease once purchased.) – 30,000 R]

[Noragakure Crop Cultivation – grants immense knowledge of Noragakure’s Crop Cultivation Method, refined for centuries. – 1,500 R]

[...]

’Wood Release? Why would... of course, it’s nature-related. Nah, that’s too expensive for now. Noragakure Crop Cultivation is tempting, though. It’s cheap and effective,’ Alaric thought, folding his arms.

”Although I don’t know anything about Noragakure,” he added quietly, ”Was that even in Naruto? Maybe...”

He mentally clicked [Noragakure Crop Cultivation].

[-1,500 R]

[Current Balance: 80,707 R]

”Okay... still rich,” he grinned.

Then he bought ’few’ items that might prove useful.

[Shadow Clone Jutsu – 1,000 R]

[Healing Palm Jutsu – 1,200 R]

[Madara Uchiha’s Taijutsu – 15,000 R]

[Sharingan (Eternal Mangekyo) – 16,000 R]

[Hashirama Senju’s Chakra Reserve – 30,000 R]

[Hashirama Senju’s Physique – 17,000 R]

[Chakra Paper – 2 R]

After selecting all these items, his balance finally read:

[-80,202 R]

[Current Balance: 505 R]

Suddenly, a surge of information was implanted in Alaric’s mind. The System confirmed his purchase of all the selected items in one go.

Changes began immediately within him.

He felt a burning sensation in his eyes as the mutation of the Sharingan took hold.

His body ached sharply from the sudden shift in muscle and structure as Hashirama Senju’s Physique was forced upon him.

The heat built up inside, so intense that he felt as if he were being torched alive.

Hashirama’s Chakra Reserve was being forcefully injected into his chakra reserves, expanding it at an alarming rate.

’I feel like I’m gonna diee!!’

The transformation process lasted a full hour.

Throughout that time, Alaric didn’t scream. He only grunted in pain... a series of low, guttural sounds that, if heard from outside, might have been mistaken for men having sex.

After what felt like an eternity, Alaric finally opened his eyes and gasped, ”Fuck, that hurts!”

He looked around the room, expecting to see the typical dark residue that sometimes followed a transformation, but there was nothing of the sort.

’Of course, this ain’t no cultivation murim shit...’ he thought, relieved yet still in pain.

’So according to the information that was hammered in my brain... despite receiving Madara’s Taijutsu, there’s limitations due to my body being five. Yes, I have Hashirama’s physique, but Madara’s taijutsu worked for his height, but I did gain so much from that alone.’ Alaric hummed while thinking about it.

’When I use my Mangekyo, my left eye can use ”Eros”, it can restore my body to its peak using 10% of my chakra... fuck that’s cool. My right eye uses ”Vulcan”, it makes me able to control and manipulate metal within a meter for the moment, although I can’t create metal, that’s still op. And there’s no Susano, though I can stop time for 10 seconds, ”Kronos”... Change Susano for time stop? I’ll never complain...’

(I don’t know what I’m doing anymore)

Slowly, Alaric stood up and moved to a mirror, he sees a handsome lad with a grin that stretched ear-to-ear.

He then examined his reflection carefully. He noticed that he had grown an inch or two in height, and his muscles looked slightly more defined... even if only a little. ’Thankfully, I don’t have that much muscle yet. It would look weird on a five-year-old kid,’ he mused wryly.

’Now... to get out of here without being caught...’
