---

Noon had passed, and just before night arrived, Reuben finally finished his stalking mission.

He walked on the streets of Bristol as his stomach rumbled, he was hungry as he never got to eat the whole day.

Alaric ordered him to follow some slave traders and anyone connected to them and report back to him immediately. However, Reuben, being a perfectionist, wanted to report the most detailed information he could gather.

*GRRRRRR*

’Curses...’ Reuben shook his head as he continued walking, ’I should’ve just reported sooner, I’m starving.’

Finally seeing one of the biggest houses he’s ever seen in Bristol, Reuben stopped just before a guard who checked his outfit and signaled a staff to come over.

”This one seems to fit the boy Mister Sebastian told us about,” The guard told the staff and then turned his head towards the bald boy, ”What’s your name child?”

”Reuben.”

”I see,” The guard then turned his head towards the staff as that latter moved immediately.

”Good afternoon Mister Reuben, we’ve been expecting your arrival,” The staff smiled as he motioned his hand to welcome Reuben, ”Please, follow me.”

’Thank goodness there was no misunderstanding,’ Reuben thought as he followed the staff, ’I’m craving for something delicious.’

---

”... yes, thank you for setting everything up.”

”... you’re welcome. Please, find me if you need me for anything else.”

Alaric was having few conversations with Sebastian as he nodded while the latter walked away.

Hours went by after he last checked the storage and now, it was clean. ’I mean, it’s just stone wall and floor, no decor. Nothing to worry to much about.’

Closing the door, Alaric walked towards one of the crates that had black vials in it.

’Nice, the vials match the Hyuga Clan Secret Ointment’s appearance,’ He thought as he immediately sold everything, excluding the crates.

[Black Vial (1000) - £8 6s. 8d.]

’Now... let’s search for Hyuga Clan Secret Ointment.’

[- £62 10s.]

As if the System knew where he wanted to put the ointments, Alaric smiled as the ’Celestial Salve’ were perfectly stacked and arranged within four crates. (Let’s assume that a crate can hold 250 Pieces of Celestial Salve.)

’Good,’ Alaric nodded in content as he walked towards the door and looked up, sensing a very familiar signature within his radius. ’If I don’t actively try to use Foresight Pulse, it’s good that I can sense familiar signatures when they’re near.’

He then closed the door, walking towards a long corridor. ’Even if I have this business, it shouldn’t hurt to teach my family about crop cultivation right? I mean, of course they know how to cultivate crops but not to the extent that’s in my brain.’

He shook his head as he walked the last step of the stairway to the first floor, seeing Reuben who was eating to his heart’s content while Sebastian was walking away.

”Sup,” The young Kenway smiled as Reuben nodded his head, but continued to eat anyway.

’Now that I have lots of time in my hand, I should train Reuben and Thulani,’ Alaric thought while walking to another staircase. ’Of course, I should put priority on my own training too.’

”Come by my room when you finish eating.”

”Hm? Wrs ur rom?” Reuben asked while chewing.

”Ask Sebastian.”

---

Alaric was now alone in his room again, lying on his bed.

’It wouldn’t be that bad to laze around,’ Alaric mused as he crossed his legs, ’But there’s not much to do in this period either, no phones, no computers...’

Opening the System Interface, Alaric browsed series of Taijutsus, Ninjutsus, Kenjutsus, Items, and etc.

These are things that he pinned on the System that he wanted to buy.

’Never thought there’d be a Phoenix Summoning in that world,’ Alaric thought as he crossed his arms, ’But I’m gonna take it, especially the Phoenix Sage... imagine having the ability to heal others of any wounds and disease, AND can cheat death with rebirth... I can heal mom too.’

’Each rebirth also grants 200% increase on all stats,’ He tried to kept a stoic face but couldn’t hold it, ’With all these powers, who could stop me from doing anything?’

’I mean... Kami’s always there up above.’

’Wait... now that I think about it,’ Alaric thought as he frowned, ’Ahh... how could I have been so stupid!’

He walked towards his wardrobe and found his discarded kunai pouch, opening it. He sighed as the thing he wanted to find was nowhere in the pouch.

’Damn, it’s gone... I guess I have to buy another one.’

Deciding to use it the moment he it appeared in his hands, Alaric immediately applied chakra towards the paper.

”...”

He waited patiently as he continuously applied chakra. ”This can’t be...”

”How about...” He murmured as he applied more and more chakra, until the paper could no longer handle the amount of chakra he’s supplying as it disappeared from the pressure.

”This...”

”Uh...”

”Without the system... do I have no talent at all?” He paused... then sighed as he opened the System Interface once again.

’From what I can see... Fire, Water, Earth, Wood and Steel Release prices may be lowered to my EMS, Hashirama’s Chakra and Physique,’ Alaric thought as he cupped his chin with his fingers, ’I want to buy the Wood Release, Metal Release and Swift Release too.’

Here’s what Alaric added to his shopping cart.

[Water Release]

[Earth Release]

’Although I might have to buy them one at a time,’ He thought while shaking his head, ’I’m too poor right now... I need £6838 13s. 4d.’

*Knock knock knock*

”Come in, Reuben.”

As the bald seven-years old opened the door and came inside, he widened his eyes while he looked around the interior decor, ”This is your room?”

”Yes,” Alaric nodded and sat up on his bed, ”You like it? Hehe...”

”Tsk,” Reuben clicked his tongue as he stood near Alaric, ”I’ve come to report about the people I stalked.”

Alaric’s eyes sharpened as he placed his full attention to Reuben.

”Go on...”
