”I went back to Redcliffe the moment I woke up,” Reuben said as he scratched the back of his neck, ”Last I’ve heard, there were a couple of small time slave traders there, so I went there first.”

”...”

Seeing Alaric’s confused face, Reuben widened his eyes in recognition.

”Ah, I forgot you’re new here,” He murmured, ”Redcliffe’s the area near the docks, it’s has the largest slums area in Bristol. Helena’s house is at Hotwells, and the place where we’re at right now is Clifton.”

”Oh...,” Alaric nodded while folding his arms, ”Continue...”

”Yes... as I said,” Reuben continued, ”I went to Redcliffe the moment I woke up, and was able to tail someone that led to a meeting of three people.”

”There are two slave traders in Redcliffe by the names of Edward Corbin, and John Everard,” Reuben introduced as he sighed, ”They’re the only slave traders in Bristol that I know of, but there’s one thing that’s been bothering me.”

”The third guy I saw wore a rich man’s attire, I eavesdropped but could only get his first name... Edward.”

”Edward Colston,” Alaric muttered, ”That must be the guy... as you said, he wore a rich man’s attire, right?”

Alaric smirked seeing Reuben nod, ”So Edward Corbin, John Everard, and Edward Colston...”

”Damn... why are there so many Edward?” The youngest Kenway chuckled, ”I hope my cousin wouldn’t turn out to be a slave trader.”

”That seems to impossible,” Reuben replied, ”He doesn’t have any hostility towards Thulani.”

Alaric could only sigh at the bald head’s monotonous reply, ”It was a joke.”

”I see...” Reuben looked down, somehow trying to make it make sense, ”If there’s nothing else...”

”Sure, you can go,” Alaric nods while lying back to his bed, ”Make yourself comfortable ’round the house, a week from now, we’ll start training.”

---

It was night time as everybody finished their dinner together. Alaric and Penn were now walking towards the basement, being accompanied by Sebastian.

”Have you really procured one thousand pieces of this... Celestial Salve?” Penn asked with doubt laced on his tone.

Alaric just smiled and continued to walk as they arrived on the basement, ”Of course, I don’t do bullshit... can’t have my name going down the drain.”

”Bull... shit?”

”Oh y’know...” Alaric sighed as they arrived just by the door to the storage room. ”It means my words carry weight, I don’t lie to my business partners.”

”Oh... that’s assuring.”

”Please, allow me,” Sebastian smiled as both Alaric and William Penn made way for the butler who immediately turned the knob and opened the door.

”Oh my,” Penn widened his eyes as he saw four crates with fully stacked Celestial Salves. ”A-Are these truly the products?”

The middle-aged Quaker immediately walked towards the crates, he then knelt and opened the lead of a single product, bringing it close to his nose.

”It’s legitimate!” William Penn’s eyes widened again as he smelled the Celestial Salve, ”I must say, I am genuinely astounded!”

”See?” Alaric smirked as he walked next to William Penn, ”I suggest you send some of these to London, I’m confident the Royal Palace will be fascinated by the Celestial Salve.”

”Royal Palace?” Penn raised his head to look at Alaric, ”Are you quite certain you’re comfortable with all this attention?”

”Didn’t you tell my family that you took me under your wing? Claim the fame all for yourself, it’s too bothersome for now.”

”Heh...” Penn chuckled and shook his head, ”You certainly have a keen understanding of the game.”

”Sure... and don’t tell anyone that I made this product, even my family,” Alaric continued as he folded his arms, ”No one would believe it anyway.”

”Alright,” William Penn smiled and stood up to look at the butler, ”Sebastian, go to my vault and fetch the sum I owe this young lad.”

”Understood.”

Sebastian bowed a little as he walked outside.

”Now then, how about we have ourselves a little more conversation, Savior?”

”You wanna order more?”

”Heh... and what gave me away?”

Grinning from ear to ear, Alaric opened the door to his bedroom then walked towards his bed.

’I... am... super... fucking... rich!’

He was super elated while looking at his balance at the System Interface. He lied down on his bed while looking at the cart he pinned on the System.

Alaric breathed in and out, readying himself for another painful experience.

”...”

”...”

’Wait, why don’t I feel anythi- UGHHHH!”

Countless information got injected to Alaric’s brain once more as he grunted. From how Madara’s training method works, Mangetsu’s talent over weapons being mixed to his own, the Phoenix Sage mode, and all the other items he bought.

All these information was about to overload his brain as his nose started dripping blood. His skin started cracking, as everything around him became hot.

---

William Penn was busy writing the details as to which part of England he was going to send Caravans to, ’I ought to send at least a hundred to the royal palace, perhaps His Majesty will place a larger order for the ongoing war...’

*Knock knock*

”Yes...”

”Master, I have brought some tea.” Sebastian opened the door and smiled, ”It is the Gunpowder Tea you’ve always been fond of.”

”Good heavens, Sebastian, I am a new man, a Quaker,” The middle aged quaker smiled back, ”However, it would be rather uncouth to refuse a product from China.”

As Sebastian walked towards Penn, the two of them noticed how warm the temperature became.

”That’s odd,” Penn looked at the window behind him, ”I feel as though I’m standing beneath the midday sun...”

---

”UGHHHH!”

Alaric’s body became red from the transformation he going through. Seconds later, flames came to existence as it was circling around him rampantly.

The youngest Kenway opened his eyes slightly, he was thankful that the flames weren’t burning its surroundings.

’FUCKKKK!’

’Are the flames due to the Phoenix Sage Mode!?’

Alaric could now feel unfamiliar type of chakra seeping its way towards his body.

An hour past as Alaric was grunting and moaning in pain as all the turbulence finally vanished.

Panting like he was running a marathon, Alaric finally had the strength to stand up from his bed and slowly walked towards the mirror, looking at himself.

His eyes were now colored scarlet, which had a lighter shade compared to his Sharingan. He also had a scarlet eyeshadow which he had mixed emotions because he looked sus. The biggest feature that was added to him was the tattoo on his face.

’The tattoo kinda looks cool,’ Alaric thought as he analyzed it more, ’Although the eyeshadow... it’s... I don’t care, if it makes me strong, then why not.’

Noticing something on the mirror, Alaric turned his head around and saw the Chokutō style Kusanagi. He went to it and analyzed it. ’It looks great...’

He then grabbed and unsheathed it, ’It’s also very light, same as my kunais... or am I just finding it light due to my sage mode?’

Alaric shook his head and sheathed it back, strapping it to his belt. He then performed a single Hand Sign as a shadow clone appeared, looking at him.

”Pretend to be asleep,” Alaric ordered as the Shadow Clone nodded in response.

The youngest Kenway looked down to his balling fist as he felt this power that he never had before, ’It’s amazing, I feel so much stronger.’

Not wasting time, Alaric walked towards the nearest window and opened it. It was night and most of the surrounding was dark. ’It’s amazing how Clifton has so much space in it.’

He then stood at the window and leaped.

”Oh shit!”

Alaric widened his eyes as a single leap from the window made him travel more than hundreds of meters. ’This is amazing!’

Within two leaps, he was far away from civilization. He could feel it, not needing to turn on the Foresight Pulse.

’Let’s try testing my strength,’ Alaric thought as he landed on a very large clearing. ’First...’

Trying to test the raw power first, Alaric punched the ground, expecting for craters to appear. Only to raise his brows as his fist just went through the ground like hitting mud.

’Umm... okay? How ’bout with nature chakra then?’ He thought as Nature Chakra naturally flowed to his fist as the said fist connected to the ground.

*BOOOOOOOMMMMM*

*ASDNJWKAJNGKAWD*

’Oh shit!’

Alaric widened his eyes as the ground below him got destroyed, revealing a crater of thirty meter radius.

”I did not even use full power with that one!” He exclaimed as he looked at his fist again, ”DAYUM!”

Alaric calmed himself down for a few seconds and unsheathed his sword as it shined, reflecting the moon’s light.

”First...” He murmured while walking to nearby tree, ”Let’s try a normal cut...”

Not a second after he arrived, he immediately slashed his sword to the tree diagonally, making it cut through halfway.

”Okay... that’s already impressive,” Nodding his head, Alaric said while applying a little amount of chakra to the Kusanagi. ”How about... this!”

Slashing horizontally, Alaric widened his eyes once more as he cut off the tree with no effort. ”Oh my god!”

What made him widened his eyes wasn’t the fact that he cut three in front of him, no... what made him surprised was that the sword’s slash affected multiple trees. Not just one, two or three, it affected 28 trees.

”Damn...” Alaric muttered, then thought of something.

”Hyah!” He threw the Kusanagi as much as he could, waiting for it go far. He then used his Metal Release to retrieve the Kusanagi but to no avail. ”What?”

Trying again, it was the same.

Alaric’s eyes immediately turned blood red as his Mangekyo activated while his Sage Mode was still on, ’Vulcan.’

Like a magic word, the Kusanagi immediately came back flying towards his hand swiftly. ’Hmm... it seems the Metal Release boosted my Vulcan’s range and effectiveness. But I bought the Kekkei Genkai though? Was it just useless? Hmm... No, even if the Kekkei Genkai isn’t present, my Vulcan’s certainly improved by a large margin, that’s already a huge plus.’

Alaric was dazed for a while, but got his bearings back as he looked at the sword. ”You’re one heck of a sword aye? I wonder why Sasuke in the anime never got to use your full potential.”

”Maybe I was able to pull this off due to Mangetsu’s talent over all weapons?” He wondered as he put the Kusanagi back to its sheathe. ”It’s also too big for my body, didn’t this sword have a length adjustment?”

Applying chakra to the sword once again, but this time with a different purpose, the Kusanagi shrank itself to complement Alaric’s size. ”Good, it’s better this way.”

”Now...” The youngest Kenway looked at the trees he previously cut, channeling Wood Chakra to his hands and touched the tree in front of him. ”This is quite hard...”

Little by little, the tree regrew. Alaric then channelled more chakra, making him widen his eyes as the tree before him grew to an enormous height. ”Damn!”

’I was only trying to make it grow back to its original state,’ He thought while looking at his palm, clenching it.

”I get it now,” Alaric said to himself while deactivating the sage mode, ”It’s true that all my stats increased, but... in terms of controlling my power, my output’s too much... considering it was already hard controlling it before. I’m producing more power than I intend, and that’s not necessarily good.”

”If I can’t control my powers,” Alaric muttered while continuing to walk, ”With this poor control, I can kill my enemies fine... but I could also kill my allies, and that’s the worst.”

He sighed but then smirked.

”Well... that’s why I have to train, right?”
