Chapter 1561: Chapter 1595: The Mysterious Old Man in Liu Ruyan’s Villa

“Isn’t it all thanks to the Huayu Group? If it weren’t for the Huayu Group, how could I live so well?” Liu Ruyan said with a smile.

“Hehe… If only I could work at the Huayu Group, that would be great. Even if I can’t become a CEO, at least I’d have a high income.”

“Isn’t this little wealth a piece of cake for you?” Liu Ruyan suddenly laughed and said, “If you want it, what status or money can’t you get?”

“Uh…” Lin Zifeng was speechless, pondering the meaning behind her words.

“Alright, come in. Why are you standing outside?” Liu Ruyan giggled, and after leading Lin Zifeng into the villa, she went inside to change clothes first, while Lin Zifeng toured around the villa by himself. To be honest, although the villa’s price wasn’t too high, the interior decoration and space were quite impressive. Zhang Mengjie really knew how to handle things. This is a bit too luxurious…

“Sir, your tea.” Just as Lin Zifeng sank into the sofa, grabbing an apple and putting it in his mouth without biting much, an elderly man in a white servant suit walked over, holding a cup of thick and fragrant Tieguanyin.

“Thank you.” Lin Zifeng quickly went forward to take it, but the old man gave him a strange look… Lin Zifeng instinctively gave him a closer look, an expert! This old man was actually a cultivator! And a master of the Condensation Realm.

Tsk tsk, it seems that Liu Ruyan’s family is a hidden dragon!

“What? Did I do something wrong?” Seeing that he didn’t leave immediately, Lin Zifeng frowned and glanced at him.

“Sir, may I boldly ask what your relationship with our young lady is?” the old man suddenly asked.

“Why are you asking that?” Lin Zifeng looked at him in surprise. For a servant to ask such a question was unquestionably inappropriate, especially since Lin Zifeng didn’t know him well.

“Nothing, I’m just asking casually.” The old man smiled.

“Sorry, it’s not convenient for me to answer that question. If you’re really curious, why not ask your young lady?” Lin Zifeng wasn’t particularly interested in responding and ignored him.

“I’m sorry, I have the right to know about all the friends my young lady knows.” The old man insisted, his face stiff and formal, appearing as though he wouldn’t leave until Lin Zifeng gave a clear answer.

“Bang!” Lin Zifeng heavily placed the half-drunk cup of Tieguanyin on the table, looking at him displeased, “I say, are even the guests invited by your young lady under your scrutiny?” Lin Zifeng’s eyes glowed brightly, staring him down.

“I’m merely acting on the orders of my master. I hope you cooperate with me.”

“What if I don’t want to talk to you?” Lin Zifeng was losing his patience; this guy was such an idiot…

In an instant… the old man’s face darkened, staying silent, eyes flickering with a sharp edge, seemingly ready to throw Lin Zifeng out of the house at any moment…

Lin Zifeng also remained silent, just looking at him irritably, sipping the tea one sip at a time.

“Whoosh…” Just at that moment, as Lin Zifeng was about to set down the teacup, the old man made a move, trying to snatch it away.

“Sir. The tea’s a bit cold; let me refill it for you.”

“No need, I actually prefer drinking cool tea.” Lin Zifeng retracted his wrist, avoiding the old man’s reaching hand. “How could I accept that? Guests should be well-treated. You must drink well.”

Swipe… The old man reached out again to snatch the teacup from him, but as he stretched his hand, he bent his arm, twisting his elbow inward, aiming a jab at Lin Zifeng’s chest.

Bam!

With a dull thud, not only did Lin Zifeng not evade, he actually puffed his chest out, colliding with the elbow head-on. With that impact, the old man’s brow instantly furrowed, realizing the depth of his abilities.

Thud, thud, thud… The old man retreated three steps, eyes flickering, unsure of what to do next.

“I really do prefer the taste of cool tea; not only is it ready to drink anytime, but it also revitalizes more effectively when cool.” As he finished his sentence, Lin Zifeng’s eyes sharpened, and with a forceful flick of his wrist, the cup shot out like an arrow, zooming towards the old man.

“What!” The old man stepped back again, wide-eyed, watching the cup get closer and closer, yet being unable to stop what’s happening. He could only watch helplessly as the cup was about to smash onto him…

At that moment, the old man seemed to sense a whiff of death, his face turning ghostly pale, nearly devoid of any blood.

“Whoosh…” Lin Zifeng turned into a streak of dark light, reaching out and grabbing the launched cup mid-air.

“Ah?!” The old man broke out in a cold sweat, seeing the teacup about to hit him, but fortunately, the young man’s hand caught it, saving him from being struck in the face…

“I’m just trying to enjoy a cup of tea, no need for these questions, right? Besides, I’m Ruyan’s friend. If I really intended her harm, I doubt your skills would be enough to stop me, no?” Lin Zifeng sneered, pulling back the cup and drinking it all in one go, acting as if nothing had happened…

“You…” The old man was dumbfounded, unsure how to respond.

“What are you two doing?”

Just then, Liu Ruyan entered in casual attire, seeing Lin Zifeng standing face to face with Old Liu, and couldn’t help but find it odd.

“Nothing, I was just chatting with the gentleman about the art of tea.” Lin Zifeng said, raising the tea cup, looking as if he hadn’t had enough. Meanwhile, the old man was drenched in cold sweat…

He didn’t know what to say at that moment.

“Haha, Old Liu is indeed quite knowledgeable about tea. Even my father often seeks his advice on tea culture,” Liu Ruyan said with a smile, instantly revealing Old Liu’s status. Even Liu Ruyan’s father had to consult him; it was evident this old man had some significant background.

At least within Liu Ruyan’s family, this guy certainly held a high position.

“Miss,” Old Liu lowered his head, standing quietly to the side.

“Alright, Old Liu, there’s nothing more for you here. You should leave us. Don’t come into my room without permission unless I say so, alright?”

“Yes, Miss,” said Old Liu gravely, glancing at Lin Zifeng before leaving.

Once the old man left, Lin Zifeng, with great interest, approached Liu Ruyan, smiling, “Your old man’s pretty good, his tea mastery far surpasses mine.”

“Of course, Old Liu used to be a master of tea. His status in our family is quite high,” said Liu Ruyan proudly.

(Something happened at home these days; there will be fewer updates, but still three per day.)
