Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 757: Chapter 750: Yes, That’s Exactly Who I Am

Chapter 750 No Mistake, I Am Just That Kind of Person

”What, what did you just say?!”

Silence’s face instantly turned pale.

Was she really about to get harassed on her very first day at work by this guy?

Having never worked before, Silence had always heard rumors that in such big companies, if one wanted to climb the ladder, one must understand the unwritten rules of the flesh. But she had no such experience, especially since she had just graduated from the finance program in Macau and was merely out to enjoy the thrill of being an intern in a company.

”What’s wrong? I just asked you to move your butt a bit, I need to ’barrel’ through,” Lin Zifeng looked at her innocently, truly innocently.

”You, you pervert maniac, this is the office, and you dare to do such a thing? Aren’t you afraid the company leaders will find out and fire you? Moreover, there are cameras everywhere, have you really had enough of living?”

In order not to lose her temper, Silence had been trying hard to control her emotions, but her massive, heaving bosom was trembling uncontrollably.

Damn, I just wanted to drink some water, it shouldn’t be this complicated, right?

It seemed this chatty girl wasn’t as easy to deal with as he had imagined.

”Me, how did I become a pervert maniac?” Lin Zifeng asked.

”You, you still ask.” Silence pushed him away, stomping towards the office door in her pink Phantom high heels, her black suit outlining her full buttocks tightly indeed.

Lin Zifeng just casually glanced over, clicking his tongue in admiration, but was caught by Silence who suddenly turned back to look.

”Pervert maniac!”

Silence stormed off.

Leaving Lin Zifeng holding a cup, stunned for a long time, not understanding why.

Have you ever seen a pervert maniac this handsome?

Lin Zifeng helplessly shrugged his shoulders and continued pouring water.

Just as he was bringing the cup to his lips, the furious chatterbox actually stormed back.

He nearly choked on his drink.

”What’s up? Missy.” Lin Zifeng smiled.

”I, I forgot to tell you, I, I am the new administrative assistant, in charge of managing the daily administration of the finance department,” Silence explained without blushing, but feeling strange facing this guy, especially after his recent suggestion of ’stabbing’ her had nearly enlightened her about the evil in the world.

”Administrative assistant? Are you my administrative assistant?”

Lin Zifeng asked.

”Don’t overthink it, you’re just a low-level assistant, I’m the executive director’s administrative assistant; it has nothing to do with you.”

Silence looked at him with disdain.

”Oh, haha, sorry, maybe I thought too much,” Lin Zifeng scratched his head and chuckled.

Silence, with bright eyes, scrutinized Lin Zifeng carefully, and wouldn’t you know it.

The guy, dressed in a black suit, coupled with his occasionally stern face, the more she looked, the more endearing he seemed.

Initially, she might have scored Lin Zifeng seventy or eighty out of a hundred, but now, well, let’s just make it fifty.

”So you are the finance department’s assistant?”

”Could it be fake?” Lin Zifeng didn’t look at her, continuing to get himself a cup of water by the water cooler.

Just as she was about to approach him with various accusations, seeing Lin Zifeng fetching water made her hesitate.

Oh no! Could it be that I misunderstood him earlier?

He clearly just wanted some water, so was it my misunderstanding that made his words seem risqué?

No no no! It definitely wasn’t like that, right? Looking at him now, he clearly shows no disrespect to me; maybe I really thought too much?

Ugh...if only he had spoken properly earlier, I wouldn’t have ended up cursing him as a ”pervert.”

Zifeng did a round in front of the desk and drank all the water in his cup. He then noticed that Silence was still standing in front of the office, her charming, elongated eyes darting around looking at him.

”Hey girl, what are you still dazing here for?”

”Waiting for the financial director,” Silence answered with a giggly look, aware that she had just misunderstood him, hence the complete change in attitude.

”The director’s office is inside. You can go look for her yourself,” Zifeng pointed to the neighboring director’s office and said.

”By the way, what should I call you?”

”Lin Zifeng.”

Zifeng said.

”Silence. You can call me Jingjing from now on.”

The girl twisted her hips and slowly moved towards him, it being her first time wearing these kind of high heels felt extremely awkward.

”Silence?”

That’s really a fantastic name.

Zifeng smiled, but then a thought seemed to cross his mind.

He asked, ”Your name is Silence?!”

”Yeah, Silence.”

”Silence... Oh, alright, I got it.”

Zifeng wanted to ask if Ji Wu was related to her, but ultimately he held back.

”Any problems?” Silence asked.

”No, nothing. You should go to the director’s office to report, after all, she is the boss of our finance department.”

Nowadays, Zhang Xixi was not only the director of the finance department but also the head of the department, a position Nangong Bing had specially made an exception for.

”Director Zhang, right? I got it.”

Silence turned to leave, then turned back and smiled, ”Sorry, I misunderstood you earlier.”

”No problem at all.” Zifeng didn’t understand what she was talking about, but he waved his hand awkwardly anyway.

After Silence left, the office finally regained its clarity.

It seems the nickname ”Chatterbox” Zifeng had given her wasn’t unwarranted.

He had barely warmed his seat when he saw Zhang Xixi leading Silence quickly back into his office.

”Director Zhang, what’s the matter?” Zifeng stood up and asked seriously.

”Actually, it’s nothing big. The company recruited a new batch of finance staff today. I was wondering if Assistant Lin would have time to give them a lecture on finance.”

Zhang Xixi stared straight at him, but ultimately she was no match under Zifeng’s intense gaze.

”New recruits usually have a preliminary course test, and it requires someone with some experience like a veteran employee to be competent,” Zhang Xixi said earnestly.

”Yeah, right, I am exactly that person,” Zifeng nodded emphatically.

”...”

Zhang Xixi paused for a moment, even Silence behind her mentally gave a thumbs up for someone self-promoting like an old lady selling melons.

Lately, Ye Xiangtian had been overhauling Tianyu, and God knows how many new employees he had recruited.

Anyway, tolerate this bastard for now. Once Tianyu truly rises, then who knows how much value he, Ye Xiangtian, would still have.

If it weren’t for the sake of the old master, not wanting his father’s company to be ruined by her hands, the domineering Zifeng could not have endured for so long.
