Chapter 747: An Unexpected Appearance

”I’m sorry, Mr. Ye, but I really can’t imagine what purpose drove you to buy the shares of Tianyu,” Nangong Bing said, her brows not even creasing in the slightest, although she very much wanted to reclaim the shares in Ye Xiangtian’s possession, it was no longer possible.

”As I’ve said before, I am merely a businessman, and the greatest ability of a businessman lies in interests. The reason why I purchased the shares of Tianyu Group is simply because I see the potential in Tianyu and, even more so, in Miss Nangong’s abilities. That’s why I invested to acquire Tianyu,” Ye Xiangtian said with a smile, then continued, ”If Miss Nangong finds my actions disagreeable, you can have all of my shares.”

”No need.”

Without waiting for Ye Xiangtian to finish speaking, Nangong Bing immediately rejected his offer.

”Haha, Miss Nangong still speaks so directly and frankly, a truly trustworthy person,” Ye Xiangtian clapped his hands, continuing with a smile, ”Since Miss Nangong refuses my good intentions, then in the future regarding Tianyu Group’s share ownership, I presume I, Ye Xiangtian, should have a say, right?”

”Mr. Ye, I’m very tired now, please leave,” Nangong Bing had no intention of dealing with his duplicity.

She directly issued an eviction order.

Uh.

At that moment, Ye Xiangtian’s expression shifted momentarily, but his strong family upbringing allowed a hint of a smile to surface as he said, ”Then I shall not disturb Miss Nangong any longer.”

Having said that, he gestured with his hand and rose quickly with his two bodyguards to head out.

A face that had once been filled with smiles suddenly became icy and detached in an instant.

Just then, as Ye Xiangtian was leaving the office, Lin Zifeng was entering. As they brushed past each other, their eyes met, and it was as if sparks flew in the air between them.

A cold smile gradually appeared on Ye Xiangtian’s lips, then he adjusted his suit button and swiftly walked towards the elevator entrance.

Lin Zifeng didn’t linger either, continuing into the office.

”What’s going on? Has that Ye become a shareholder now?” he asked as soon as he entered.

Upon his arrival, Lin Zifeng noticed that Nangong Bing’s complexion was extremely pale, her face seemingly touched with a trace of chill.

Nangong Bing looked up at him, nodding, her pretty eyes however held a touch of desolation.

”Zhang Zhang and Zheng Zheng sold all their shares to Ye Xiangtian. Now, aside from myself, Ye Xiangtian is the second largest shareholder of Tianyu Group.”

”How’s the issue with the five percent of director Hua’s shares being resolved?” Lin Zifeng inquired.

”Legally, that five percent is very likely to end up in Ye Xiangtian’s hands, since he acquired all shares directly from the board of directors,” she explained.

”But that five percent should belong to Huahua; must we really go through legal procedures?”

Lin Zifeng was already quite dissatisfied with that Ye, and if not for other considerations, he would have taken action against him already.

”What else can we do?”

The woman, not wanting to discuss this matter any further, stood up and walked to the window, taking a deep breath as she said, ”Tianyu was left to me by my father. Even if Ye Xiangtian gets fifty percent of the shares, I absolutely won’t let him manipulate Tianyu as he pleases.”

Nangong Bing’s slender, solitary figure suddenly appeared somewhat pitiful.

The man, feeling compassionate, slowly approached, wrapped his arms around her delicate waist, and whispered into her ear, ”Tianyu won’t be taken by anyone else, because I’m here.”

A resolute fierceness flickered in Lin Zifeng’s gaze.

Nangong Bing was startled at first; her body involuntarily shuddered, her cheeks blushing deeply, the redness spreading down to her neck. She really wasn’t accustomed to being held this way by Lin Zifeng.

After all, the ice queen wasn’t just characterized by her cold exterior from a young age.

Even the mere presence of a boy would generally make them fear her deep, chilly gaze that seemed to freeze one’s marrow, let alone hold her.

Even a touch felt like a miraculous and insurmountable feat.

”Lin, Lin Zifeng, can you, can you not hold me so tightly?” Nangong Bing finally couldn’t bear such close contact.

She really wasn’t very accustomed to it, even though she liked Lin Zifeng very, very much, but it was just her nature.

It was incredibly hard to change in just a moment.

”You’re my wife, hugging is only natural, and even if I hug you tighter, what of it?” Lin Zifeng said with an indifferent smile.

”But, but this is the company,” Nangong Bing’s entire ears turned shyly red and hot as she hurriedly said, ”It’s not good if the employees find out.”

She didn’t want to refuse, but there was an odd feeling in her heart.

”So what if they find out? You’re my wife, my fiancée, there’s nothing to be afraid of,” Lin Zifeng said with a mischievous smile. His hands that were embracing her waist gently stroked twice, hoping to relieve the pressure from long-term sitting on her sore waist.

To her alarm, Nangong Bing turned pale and said with a stern look in her eyes, ”Lin Zifeng, we are at the company.”

Uh.

Helplessly, Lin Zifeng touched his nose and said with embarrassment, ”I know we’re at the company.”

”If you know then why would you still...”

”Knock knock”

Just then, two knocks sounded from outside the office.

Startled, Nangong Bing quickly straightened her attire and sat back in her seat with her black captivating heels.

Lin Zifeng awkwardly twisted his nose, taking a whiff of the lingering fragrance on his fingers.

”Come in!”

Watching Zhang Xixi enter with her head down carrying a large pack of financial files, Lin Zifeng knew she must have seen something and now didn’t dare to meet his eyes.

Lin Zifeng felt a chill in his heart as well.

He touched his nose, said an awkward goodbye to Nangong Bing at the door,

and then strode towards the elevator.

Now, Ye Xiangtian held half of Tianyu’s shares, a fact that had spread throughout Tianyu Group in almost a morning.

The whole company, every department, large and small, was abuzz.

However, what surprised Nangong Bing and Lin Zifeng the most was that Ye Xiangtian had actually started replacing people in the company!

Even though he hadn’t fired any employees, there were many new faces around,

and likely, they were all transferred from Ye Group.

Even the security team was now split into two squads, Security Team One and Security Team Two.

Zheng Liang and his group belonged to Security Team One.

The sudden visit by this group of fierce warriors had the whole security department seething.

It was clear that they were confronting Nangong Bing head on.

How shameless Ye Xiangtian must be to do this.

But actually, it was not so.

Ye Xiangtian’s goal was simple, either to have Nangong Bing or to have Tianyu...

Just as he said, he was a businessman. Everything was considered in terms of profit.

Long ago, he had tried a softer approach to pursue Nangong Bing, but to no avail, and this time he was using force.

From then on, Tianyu once again became a busy place...
