After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1049: Chapter 1053: Hero, What Is Your Surname

The man was very young, probably about thirty, just like her. He was also of Chinese descent and appeared gentle and refined, but had a backbone. When the doctor stitched him up, he barely furrowed his brow.

Looking at his handsome profile, Xu Xia naturally felt a bit of admiration in her eyes.

After the wound was treated, the two walked out of the emergency room side by side, and only then did Xu Xia speak up, ”Hero, what’s your surname?”

The man elegantly smiled, ”My surname is Tang, you can just call me Tang Ming!”

”Xu Xia!” Xu Xia extended her palm to him.

”Xu Xia?” The man looked carefully at her for a couple of moments, ”No wonder you looked so familiar, I didn’t expect it to be you!”

”You recognize me?” Xu Xia was a bit surprised.

”Of course, for the past few years you’ve been a top-tier diva, there should be few in the Chinese community who don’t know you, right?” Tang Ming shrugged with a smile, ”However, I didn’t expect you, a girl, to be so brave.”

”I’m an authentic tomboy.” Xu Xia returned a smile, ”I also didn’t expect you, who appears so refined, to actually have quite the spine!”

Tang Ming chuckled lightly, ”In front of a beauty, one always has to appear a bit more heroic.”

Xu Xia glanced at her watch, ”So, Hero Tang, would you grace me with your company for a meal?”

”Won’t it take up too much of your time?” Tang Ming played coy.

”I’ll need to eat anyway.” Xu Xia laughed, ”Of course, if the hero has another date, I won’t insist.”

”An opportunity to have lunch with my idol, that’s a chance I won’t miss.” Tang Ming glanced around, ”I know a nearby Chinese restaurant that’s quite authentic, shall we go together?”

”Sure.” Xu Xia immediately agreed.

The two got back in the car, with Xu Xia driving and Tang Ming directing her to a Chinese restaurant.

Xu Xia proactively handed the menu to Tang Ming, ”You order, it’s on me!”

Tang Ming didn’t decline and promptly ordered a few dishes. As he named the dishes one by one, Xu Xia’s eyes widened more and more.

The dishes he ordered were all ones she loved!

”Are these all your favorites?”

”Don’t you like them?”

”Of course not, I’m just a bit surprised.” Xu Xia grinned mischievously, ”Tang Ming, you didn’t investigate me and approach me on purpose, did you?!”

Tang Ming was taken aback.

”Ha!” Xu Xia burst into laughter, ”I’m just kidding with you.”

Tang Ming felt relieved, ”It seems we really are quite destined to meet.”

”Let’s toast with tea instead of wine!” Xu Xia raised her teacup, and Tang Ming also lifted his cup to gently clink with hers.

After a moment, the dishes were served, and the two chatted as they ate. Tang Ming naturally brought up her songs, from her participation in ”Huaxia Idol” to her latest album, he recounted everything as if he knew it by heart, ”I used to think that a big star like you would have a bad temper, but I didn’t expect your personality to be so good.”

”Good personality?!” Xu Xia chuckled bitterly, ”Only you would say that, they all think I’m too straightforward and impulsive.”

”That’s real character.” Tang Ming leaned back in his chair, looking at her attentively, ”No matter what others say, I really like you, both your music and you!”

Their eyes met, and Xu Xia’s heart fluttered, prompting her to quickly avert her gaze.

As a super diva, Xu Xia didn’t have many friends, after all, she had limited interactions within the circle, and she couldn’t stand those phony people. It was rare to meet someone like Tang Ming with whom she could chat so freely.
