After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1034: Chapter 1038: Welcome Home

Grandpa Leng and Grandpa are only one character apart, but to Leng Lin, they mean completely different things.

”Come on, let Grandpa get you something tasty. Tell Grandpa, what does Mo Mo want to eat?” Leng Lin held the little one’s hand and went downstairs. Luo Xiaoqian looked towards John in the corridor and asked, ”Is everything going smoothly?”

”There were reporters following us, but I managed to shake them off,” John replied.

Luo Xiaoqian frowned slightly, ”Tomorrow, I’ll call the teacher to ask for a few days off for him. Mo Mo will stay here for a few days. Could you please go to the villa to pack his things and bring them over?”

The next few days would undoubtedly be the craziest time for the reporters, so it was best for Luo Jun to lie low for a while.

”Okay,”

John agreed and left. Luo Xiaoqian then went down the stairs.

Leng Lin was playing with the little one in the living room, so she went into the kitchen to help Aunt Su prepare dinner.

After dinner, having coaxed the little one to sleep, Luo Xiaoqian drove to World City.

She was extremely cautious along the way.

Only after confirming no one was tailing her, she drove into World City, parked her car in the underground parking lot, and took the elevator to the nineteenth floor.

Exiting the elevator, she looked at the familiar corridor, and her gaze fell on the tightly closed door at the end. She instinctively stopped.

Under the lights, the corridor was clearly empty, yet she saw many things.

She saw herself bidding farewell to Leng Zimo, saw herself running barefoot into the stairwell to get the key from him;

Saw him carrying her inside, hanging the key on her neck;

Saw him kissing her and pressing her fingers, one by one, on the keypad...

This place held too many memories.

She stepped lightly, walking forward, as if afraid that heavier footsteps would scare those memories away.

Step by step, she walked to the door, instinctively raised her palm, and gently knocked on the door.

Back then, Leng Zimo always disliked opening the door, even if the code was at his fingertips, he would rather knock and wait for her to open it.

Though Luo Xiaoqian knew that this time no one would come to open the door for her, she still gently knocked on the door.

”I’m back!”

She said to the door.

It’s been five years, and she finally had the courage to stand before this door and open it.

The door made a light sound.

Accompanied by a very soft noise, the tightly closed door slowly opened before her.

Taking the key from around her neck, Luo Xiaoqian looked up in surprise, only to see Leng Zimo standing inside the door, bathed in a warm light.

”Welcome home.”

Unexpectedly, he was here too.

”Zimo?!”

She looked up with joy on her face, took a step forward, and threw herself into his arms.

Leng Zimo didn’t speak; he only raised his bandaged hand and held her tightly.

This embrace was different from any previous embrace because it was their first real embrace after he remembered her.

A long time.

A long time.

Only then did Luo Xiaoqian raise her face from his embrace, ”Why are you here too?”

”I just wanted to come back and see what you’ve hidden here.” Leng Zimo held her as they walked into the hallway, closed the door tight, turned around, and looked at the crowded living room, ”When did you move all these things here?”

The living room was neatly stacked with boxes, some of which Leng Zimo had already opened, revealing clothes and records and such.

All these things were bought together by the two of them, or items with special meaning to them, various photos, manuscripts, records...
