Everyone in the Group is a Main Character, Except Me Who's the Villain

146: The God of War’s GiftYang Biao didn’t even have time to let out a full scream, only a short, muffled ”ugh.” His massive body fell straight off the sofa like a chopped-down log, crashing onto the coffee table with a creak.

Fang Ming’s attack was too fast and sudden; Yang Biao’s lackeys were stunned. It was only when Fang Ming stood up while protecting Ye Nuannuan that they finally reacted.

”Brother Biao!”

”Fuck, you dare hit Brother Biao?”

The two closest lackeys roared and lunged forward. One threw a punch at Fang Ming’s face, while the other aimed a kick at him.

Fang Ming didn’t even use any specialized fighting skills. While letting Ye Nuannuan hide to the side, he tilted his head to dodge the punch. He swung the ashtray in his hand again, slamming it hard against the knee of the incoming leg!

Crack!! The faint sound of bone fracturing echoed.

”Ah!!” The lackey clutched his leg and collapsed, screaming in pain.

The other guy, whose punch had missed, tried to attack again, but Fang Ming backhanded him with the ashtray. The blow struck his cheek, knocking out two molars. Blood and saliva sprayed out as he slumped to the floor.

The remaining three lackeys had already rushed close, but seeing this bloody scene, they skidded to a halt, their faces filled with horror.

They had come out to drink today and weren’t carrying weapons. They were no match for Fang Ming, who held an ashtray.

”Fang Ming! Are... are you fucking crazy?? You even dare to hit Brother Biao?”

”Wait until Brother Biao gets up, he’ll kill you!!”

”Keep bullshitting and see if I don’t send you all to the hospital together!!”

Fang Ming pointed the ashtray at the remaining three, his voice cold.

He had wanted to deal with Yang Biao for a long time, but like Yang Biao, he hadn’t found the opportunity.

Now, he was effectively picking up girls on official orders. Even without the connection to Qin Xiao, Yang Biao touching Ye Nuannuan was a death wish.

Hearing Fang Ming’s words and seeing the ashtray in his hand, the remaining three lackeys glanced at each other, not daring to speak out of turn.

”Fang Ming, you fucking wait. Young Master Qin won’t let you off.”

”You’re dead meat!!”

While shouting threats, the three of them called for the waiter. They hauled up the unconscious Yang Biao and the two injured men, scrambling to escape toward the restaurant entrance.

The lounge area soon became quiet.

Ye Nuannuan’s face was pale with fright. She gripped Fang Ming’s arm tightly, her fingers still trembling slightly.

She had encountered things like this before, but the time and place were different. She usually avoided them by anticipating the situation and leaving early.

This was the first time she had been right in the middle of it like this.

”It’s alright, it’s over now.”

Fang Ming tossed aside the blood-stained ashtray, pulled out some tissues to wipe his hands, and comforted her, ”As long as I’m here, they won’t hurt you.”

Upon hearing this, Ye Nuannuan felt much more at ease.

”Who are they?? They seemed to know you.”

”Just a few thugs. I’ve dealt with their boss before.”

After speaking, Fang Ming looked at the mess on the floor and waved to the restaurant manager who had rushed over. ”Manager, the damages are on me. Please clean this up.”

”O-Okay!” The manager hadn’t quite processed what happened.

Those people were beaten; shouldn’t they have called the police? Why did they just leave? However, it was a good thing for him that the situation didn’t escalate, so he didn’t bother thinking about it.

Fang Ming pulled Ye Nuannuan back to the sofa.

”Brother Fang Ming, you beat them so badly. Will there be trouble?”

”Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing.”

Ding-dong!

[Frontier God of War (Private Chat)]: ”Brother Fang, I’m at the entrance.”

...Neon lights flashed at the restaurant entrance as an inconspicuous black Volkswagen quietly pulled up to the curb.

The driver’s door opened, and a woman stepped out first.

She was tall, wearing a simple sports T-shirt and sweatpants with sneakers. Her chestnut-colored short hair was tied in a ponytail, and she wore a black mask.

The passenger door then opened, and Ye Tian stepped out.

He wore a plain grey T-shirt and matching sweatpants. A black baseball cap was pulled low over his head, and he also wore a black mask, leaving only his eyes visible.

”Damn, that bastard Fang Ming hits hard!”

”Brother Biao’s head is split open!!”

”Once Brother Biao recovers, that bastard Fang Ming is dead, and that little chick too...”

”Hurry up, the car is here...”

With the waiter’s help, Yang Biao’s three lackeys hurriedly shoved the three injured men into the car, looking quite pathetic.

Fang Ming? Brother Fang?

Hearing the name the three were repeatedly cursing, Ye Tian’s brow furrowed slightly under his cap.

He stopped and glanced coldly at the thugs. Just as he was debating whether to go up and investigate, the thugs’ car drove off, and Fang Ming walked out alone.

Ye Tian was tall and had a straight posture, making him easy to recognize.

”Brother Ye?”

”It’s me.” Ye Tian proactively reached out his hand. ”Brother Fang, hello!”

Although Fang Ming’s cultivation was lacking, he held the status of the Chat Group’s group owner, making his future potential limitless.

Most importantly, he had told Ye Tian in advance about Ye Xiaoyu living in a doghouse; otherwise, Ye Xiaoyu would have suffered much more.

For this alone, Ye Tian was full of gratitude toward Fang Ming.

”Hello!” Fang Ming reached out and gave a polite handshake.

Seeing Fang Ming’s calm expression, Ye Tian didn’t react, but Vermilion Bird behind him was dumbfounded.

There were very few people in the entire Grand Xia who could receive a handshake from the God of War with such composure. Who on earth was this ’Brother Fang’ his boss spoke of??

Ye Tian didn’t notice Vermilion Bird’s thoughts and said to Fang Ming, ”Come, let’s talk in the car. It’s not convenient to speak here.”

At Ye Tian’s gesture, Fang Ming followed him into the God of War’s car, while Vermilion Bird stood outside on guard.

After a brief exchange of information, Fang Ming learned that Ye Tian had originally intended to go straight to Jia City, but he needed to transfer through Chengdu.

Since he was already in Chengdu, it wouldn’t be right not to see Ye Xiaoyu, which was why he had come to find him.

”What happened just now? I saw people being carried out, and they were cursing your name.”

”Nothing, just dealt with a few blind thugs.”

”Those guys don’t look like they’ll let it go. Do you need my help?”

”For such a small matter, why would I need a great figure like you to step in?”

”That... makes sense.”

Ye Tian hesitated for two seconds and nodded. He was the group owner of the Chat Group, after all; it wasn’t likely he couldn’t handle a few thugs.

”How is... Xiaoyu now??”

”She’s doing well. She’s at my house being looked after by two nannies. I should be able to send her to kindergarten tomorrow.”

”Kindergarten...”

Ye Tian murmured to himself, then unfastened something from his waist.

It was a sheathed dagger. The scabbard was made of some dark matte metal, with no other decorations except for two rows of ancient runes, appearing simple yet heavy.

He handed the dagger to Fang Ming.

”Brother Fang, words cannot express my gratitude. I, Ye Tian, am a rough man and don’t know how to say pretty things. I came back in too much of a hurry this time and didn’t bring any decent gifts. This dagger is named Blood Drinker; it has been with me for many years. Please accept it as our greeting gift.”
