Everyone in the Group is a Main Character, Except Me Who's the Villain

137: Do you think I need to teach me how to woo women?Except for some specific positions, Yunlan International does not prohibit office romances.

Quite a few people knew that Li Jun liked Assistant Ye.

A self-proclaimed elite like him valued face above all else, especially in public and in front of Ye Nuannuan.

Now that Fang Ming had brought this matter up in public, if Li Jun admitted to liking Ye Nuannuan, he would have to step up and confront that ruffian Wei Wenbin head-on. And if he didn’t admit it? Then what little image he had in the company, and especially in Ye Nuannuan’s heart, would instantly shatter into pieces.

“Director Li?” Wei Wenbin narrowed his eyes.

“That’s right. In our company, who doesn’t know Director Li is interested in Assistant Ye? You’re confessing to Assistant Ye, but have you asked our Director Li??”

Fang Ming looked arrogant, and after speaking, he turned his gaze toward Li Jun in the crowd.

At this moment, Li Jun was cursing eighteen generations of Fang Ming’s ancestors in his heart, wishing he could find a crack in the ground to crawl into. But under the watchful eyes of everyone, he had nowhere to hide.

After a brief weighing of the pros and cons, he gritted his teeth, forced a composed expression, and stepped forward.

First, he nodded to Ye Nuannuan and Xiao Ai to reassure them, then he looked at Wei Wenbin.

“Young Master Wei, I think there might be some misunderstanding here. Assistant Ye is a very important employee of our company. Everyone in our company respects her wishes. Besides, matters of the heart should be mutual. Forcing it is probably inappropriate and... lacks grace.”

Li Jun put on his workplace elite act, attempting to reason with him. He felt that by stepping in to mediate, he could save face without having to truly clash with Wei Wenbin.

Unfortunately, he completely underestimated Wei Wenbin.

“You’re Director Li?” Wei Wenbin looked at Li Jun as if he were an idiot. “No, who the hell do you think you are? Coming here to preach to me? Grace? I’m chasing a woman, do I need you to teach me how?”

Li Jun’s face turned pale. “Young Master Wei, please watch your language...”

“Watch your mother!”

Bang!

Wei Wenbin lost his patience completely and suddenly kicked Li Jun in the stomach.

Li Jun liked Ye Nuannuan and had stepped out to interfere—wasn’t he just trying to show off in front of her?

This was completely disregarding his face.

Added to the irritation of being rejected by Ye Nuannuan and Fang Ming’s mockery just now, he had nowhere to vent his mounting rage.

“Ah!”

Caught off guard, Li Jun doubled over like a shrimp, stumbled back a few steps, and fell onto his backside. He clutched his stomach, looking exceptionally pathetic.

“Hey, what are you doing?”

Xiao Ai hurriedly led the Yunlan International security guards forward to help him up. Not to be outdone, Wei Wenbin’s Bodyguards took a step forward.

The atmosphere between the two sides was tense. Wei Wenbin ignored everyone else: “An idiot like you thinks he’s worthy of competing with me for a woman? Fuck off!!”

“Mr. Wei, how can you hit someone?” Xiao Ai said, quite irritated.

Wei Wenbin acted like a dead pig that didn’t fear boiling water: “So what if I hit him?”

“You...”

Facing a wealthy and powerful second-generation heir like Wei Wenbin, Xiao Ai was completely helpless.

Reasoning didn’t work, and calling the police or getting physical would only affect the company without causing any real harm to Wei Wenbin.

Just as she was feeling at a loss, a cold and majestic female voice came from the direction of the building’s entrance.

“Wei Wenbin!”

Everyone turned around to see Mu Qingxue walking out quickly, surrounded by a team of company security guards.

“This is Yunlan International, not a place where you can run wild.”

Mu Qingxue walked closer. Her gaze swept over Li Jun, who was being supported by security, and then landed on Wei Wenbin’s face. “Take your people and your things and leave immediately. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being impolite.”

Yunlan International might not be stronger than Hengtai Group, but the Mu Family had more than just Yunlan International.

In Chengdu and even the entire province, the Mu Family was a deeply rooted family with power that could not be underestimated. If they truly had a falling out, unless it was a behemoth like the Qin Family, the Wei Family alone would be no match for them.

Hearing Mu Qingxue’s words, Wei Wenbin’s expression shifted. He could ignore executives like Xiao Ai and Li Jun, and he could ignore the onlookers, but he couldn’t completely disregard Mu Qingxue and the power she represented.

He had come today to chase a woman, not to make an enemy for his family.

“CEO Mu?” Wei Wenbin’s expression changed faster than flipping a page in a book as he squeezed out a smile. “Hehe, a misunderstanding. It’s all a misunderstanding. I just like Nuannuan too much and got a bit excited. I’m leaving now, leaving right now.”

...“It’s fine now. Everyone, please disperse.”

The confession farce finally came to an end with Mu Qingxue’s intervention.

Wei Wenbin helplessly led his people away. Mu Qingxue had the security clear the area and led the others back to the company’s first floor.

She turned her gaze toward Li Jun.

“Director Li, how are you? Do you need to go to the hospital for a check-up?”

Li Jun clutched his lower abdomen, forcing himself to appear calm. “No need for the hospital. It’s just a minor injury, it’s fine.”

“That’s good then!”

“Director Li, I’m really sorry. Because of my situation, you...” Ye Nuannuan felt a bit guilty.

Although it was Mu Qingxue who had resolved the situation, Li Jun had still taken a kick because of this matter.

It was natural for her to feel somewhat uneasy.

“It’s fine. It’s that Wei Wenbin who was being unreasonable, it has nothing to do with you... By the way, where’s that kid named Fang Ming?”

Li Jun spoke with a feigned indifference while secretly feeling delighted.

Although taking that kick had cost him face, he had gained Ye Nuannuan’s attention. This trade was definitely not a loss.

However, it was a fact that Fang Ming’s appearance had led to him being kicked in public and losing a great deal of face. He naturally wanted to take this opportunity to get revenge.

“I don’t know. He was just here a moment ago.”

“Fang Ming? Who is that?” Mu Qingxue frowned.

After she had finished messaging Fang Ming, she felt that Xiao Ai might not be able to handle Wei Wenbin, so she had immediately come downstairs.

When Fang Ming had stepped out, she happened to be in the elevator, so she didn’t know exactly what had happened.

“CEO Mu, it’s like this...” Li Jun quickly recounted the events.

After understanding the sequence of events, Mu Qingxue’s frown deepened.

She was no fool. She naturally knew that Fang Ming hadn’t stepped forward to de-escalate the conflict, but rather to force Li Jun into a corner.

It was just that Fang Ming had already disappeared without a trace.

“You’re saying that Fang Ming is an employee of our Yunlan Administration Department?”

“Yes.”

“Call him and tell him to come back immediately!” Mu Qingxue made a prompt decision.

She liked to settle today’s matters today; she wasn’t someone who liked to leave things hanging.

She was certain that Fang Ming, who dared to step out and incite trouble under those circumstances, was definitely no ordinary employee.

Upon receiving the order, Xiao Ai didn’t have time to overthink it and hurriedly called HR to ask for Fang Ming’s contact information.

By this time, Fang Ming had already reached the underground parking lot of Yunlan International. When he received Xiao Ai’s call, the corners of his mouth curled up, and he quickly returned to the CEO’s office.

When he pushed open the heavy solid wood door of the CEO’s office, several people were already standing inside.

Mu Qingxue sat behind the large desk, her expression calm, showing no hint of emotion.

Standing behind her was a young woman wearing a black form-fitting short-sleeved shirt and tactical trousers. She had short hair, a straight posture, and eyes as sharp as an eagle’s.

Xiao Ai stood in front and to the side of the desk, holding a tablet, her expression somewhat nervous.

Li Jun sat on a nearby sofa. His face was still a bit pale, and one hand was subconsciously pressing against his lower abdomen, but his back was ramrod straight as he tried his best to maintain his dignity as a director.

His assistant, Qian Hao, stood behind the sofa like a shadow. Seeing Fang Ming enter, his face immediately showed undisguised sneering and schadenfreude.

“So lively? Are we having an annual meeting??”
