Myths Reawakened

Kristen became taller while maintaining the same slim figure with a pronounced bust, her feminine beauty further enhanced. She looked similar to Filomina’s elven form.

A while ago, she had complained about the fat on her belly from all the health supplements she was fed, but now, the slight bump had smoothed out.

Mina’s elven transformation is based mainly on the faith of Moonlight, supplemented by the faith of Nature and the Sun of the Life Alliance. If she looks like Mina... Did her divine blood come from the Goddess of Moonlight? Wayne speculated, filing his observations away.

Kristen’s changes showed in the details. As if a filter had been applied, her already stunning beauty became even more extraordinary. Her platinum blonde hair, on the other hand, remained unchanged throughout the evolution.

Wayne committed it to memory. He had a feeling that the information would be of use.

The process of evolution was no doubt dull, and with him slowing the operation, there was more waiting time. He closed his eyes and recorded every little change with his thoughts, consolidating all the memories in his brain.

Two hours later, Wayne stopped and caught Kristen in a bridal carry as she fell, holding her to his arms.

Kristen slowly awakened. She seemed to hear the sound of gulping. Her cold eyes opened to look at her beloved’s face. A moment later, the steel in her gaze faded. She struggled to get down to her own feet.

“Is it done, Wayne?”

“There are six more days to go through. It’s only the beginning.” Wayne nuzzled her face and whispered, “You’re so beautiful, Senior.”

Kristen closed her eyes to enjoy the sweet intimacy. Sensing the slight changes to her body, she conjured a water mirror and realized that her appearance had become more elven. She asked, “I haven’t used faith magic. Can I change back to myself?”

“Yes. Once you master the transformation, you can change your form at will.”

Wayne was telling the truth. Kristen had become taller in her elven form, and her dairy farm had scaled up.

Over the span of seven days, the surgery went smoothly. Under Wayne’s precise operation, no soapy scene featuring tuberculosis or leukemia occurred.

Kristen had successfully awakened her divine blood. The elf stood gracefully at two meters with silver eyes and long platinum blonde hair. Her ethereal temperament made her seem like a dream one didn’t want to wake up from.

The moonlight elf’s eyes were frosty. Silver patterns adorned her cheeks and elongated ears. The coloration blended with her fair skin, making the patterns difficult to distinguish.

Wayne had to get quite close to see properly.

Though the elf’s eyes were cold and noble in an untouchable way, her smile was gentle like serene moonlight, easing the mind in a way that made others want to protect the serenity forever.

Her charisma was incredibly high. With the intrinsic allure of the face, she could be considered a new breed of succubus.

After the operation, it took quite some time for Kristen to get a hold of the transformation. Reverting to her human form put her in a temporary spell of weakness.

On the sixth day, her Silver Cross was shattered and recombined into a Golden Triangle. Her magical talent improved further, making her a super genius rather than a genius.

She was one Book of Greed away from reaching Wayne’s level.

Turning elven enhanced her further. When Wayne basked in the moonlight with her, he noticed how the light was drawn to her and gradually buffed her. If Darienne hadn’t been running around fulfilling divine oracles, he would’ve suspected if he had bedded the reincarnated Goddess of Moonlight.

Ines would’ve loved that!

Master bedroom, Wayne’s residence.

Vera looked at Kristen with tears in her eyes. Her senior was lying on the bed with a look of exhaustion. She jumped on her and nuzzled her, whining, “What’s wrong, Senior? Get yourself together. Don’t tell me that you’re entrusting Wayne to me alone tonight.”

Thud!

“Ow!”

Wayne pulled his hand back and huffed, “You’re hurting Kristen, silly.”

“That’s so much like Veronica’s hand chop that I almost thought Veronica were here.” Vera held her head and shot back, “Senior’s soft, and I am, too. Why would my rubbing against her hurt...”

She paused, poking Kristen’s belly and thinking of a possibility. She looked at Wayne in a daze.

Wayne nodded seriously. “Yes, it’s as you think.”

Vera hissed, blanching. She ambled toward the window with a blank look in her eyes. “It’s too sudden. I need to go back to my room to figure things out.”

“That’s a window.” Wayne shook his head with a chuckle. When Vera turned around and made for the door, he reminded her, “That’s the door to the bathroom. The door out of the room is on your nine.”

“Damn it, I’m so hurt now. Why didn’t you even comfort me?” Vera complained with a pout. “Why is Senior pregnant when I’ve been getting more lately? Did you do her in secret?”

Only Vera would be able to say that. Never could Veronica and Kristen put the same thought into words. Kristen explained with a blush, “Don’t overthink this. I’m just feeling under the weather. I’ll be fine after a thirty-minute break.”

“That’s great,” Vera cheered from the bottom of her heart, skipping her way to the bed and burying her face in Kristen’s chest. “Senior, delivering a child is painful. You’ve avoided the misery. I’m genuinely happy for you.”

Kristen snorted. “Is that why you’re smiling so brightly?”

“Of course!”

“Then why were you sad?”

“I thought of something that made me sad.” Vera rubbed her face against Kristen’s chest, speaking in a muffled voice.

“What is it?”

“That you’re pregnant,” Vera spoke from the bottom of her heart. “Senior, giving birth is really painful, and your figure will change. I don’t want you to suffer like that. If you ever want a child, just tell me. I’ll have the baby for you.”

“You’re so kind-hearted, Vera.”

“Of course!”

Thud!

“Ow!”

Veronica pulled her hand back, huffing, “Stupid, you’re hurting Senior.”

As soon as she walked through the door, she saw Vera taking advantage of Kristen, burying her entire face in Kristen’s bosom. How dare she do that when Veronica hadn’t done it yet?

Vera looked up in confusion, surprised that the hand chops felt identical. She turned around and saw Veronica standing beside Wayne. The two degenerates were a good match. They even said the same line in the same tone.

How could that be? She had called dibs on Wayne!

Vera knew Veronica well. She buried her face into Kristen’s rippling softness and whined about her head hurting, asking Kristen for comfort.

Kristen played along and stroked her blonde hair, blowing at her forehead. “Alright. Now it doesn’t hurt.”

Wayne nodded to himself. This was the kind of world he should be in. The inner world was uninhabitable.

Veronica disagreed. Jealousy turned her green, and she rushed in with clenched fists.

After being beaten up, Vera rubbed her bottom and looked at Wayne with tears in her eyes. “Wayne, my butt hurts.”

“It’s okay. I’ll give it a good rubbing for you.”

“Yeah.”

The degenerate couple started getting handsy. Veronica raged with veins popping on her forehead. She wanted nothing more than to launch the two into the air with a punch. But she couldn’t!

This wasn’t the Lando Estate, and there was no professional construction team on standby. If the window broke, her white moonlight would be sleeping with cold drifts rushing into the room throughout the night.

With a huff, she ignored Vera and Wayne, taking Kristen’s hand carefully as she sat by the bed. “Senior, Wayne called me and told me that you were sick. Are you feeling better?”

“I’m fine.” Kristen smiled. “I’ll be okay after a rest.”

“She’s not sick,” Vera interrupted. “Has Wayne not told you? Senior’s pregnant.”

Veronica’s mind blanked. Her jaw fell slack, but no words came out. Kristen’s complexion did seem a little sickly and tired, but her gentle smile was serene and peaceful. She looked downright motherly with her long hair running down.

Gulp!

No, this wasn’t the time to salivate over her. The kind smile clearly suggested that she had become a parent.

“You’re pregnant...”

Veronica felt the world turn upside down. She got two pieces of news, one bad, and the other bad.

Bad news, her white moonlight was pregnant. Bad news two, she was pregnant with the child of Veronica’s fiancé!

It was all Vera’s fault! If Vera weren’t this incompetent, Kristen wouldn’t have been tainted!

Yes, that’s right! I’ll beat her to death tonight!!

Kristen shot the self-satisfied Vera a glance. When she noticed Veronica’s eyes turning red, she hurriedly assured her, “Don’t listen to Vera. I’m just sick. I don’t have a baby.”

“You used the word ‘baby’...” Veronica mumbled, reacting the same way as Vera had. She didn’t know how to explain her unhappiness.

When things were finally cleared up, Vera got another hand chop to her head, and Veronica broke into a smile, thinking of something that made her happy.

“Why are you so happy, Veronica?” Kristen shot Wayne a glare. The relationships between them had become so complicated, all because of the bastard.

Said bastard shrugged and put an arm around Vera, placing his other hand on his hip. He preened and considered her accusation an achievement rather than something to be ashamed of.

“Senior hasn’t been tainted. I’m glad that you’re still pure,” Veronica hurriedly explained, using an excuse that even she wouldn’t believe.

“Veronica, it’s fine to lie to others, but not to yourself,” Wayne chimed in.

“Shut up!” Veronica glared daggers at him. What she wouldn’t give to crush the trash can. “It’s because you failed to take care of Senior that she got sick. I’ll be taking care of her for the next few days. You and Vera will stay out of it.”

“Well, I don’t mind.” Wayne gestured at her to go ahead.

Kristen’s heart sank, thinking of the combo of Vera and Mona. She immediately saw it as the despicable scheme it was. “Veronica, I’m fine. It’s nothing but—”

“Senior, I’ve gotten better at cooking lately and learned quite a few ways to kill eggs. Rest well. I’ll murder a few eggs for you.” Veronica walked past Wayne in a huff. She had studied cooking for her white moonlight. It had nothing to do with Wayne.

Although she was confident in her skills, she still dragged Vera out. Among the three of them, Vera was the best cook. If the eggs she murdered ended up decomposing in a horrible state, she would say it was Vera’s cooking.

After they left, Kristen pulled the blanket tighter around herself. “I’m warning you, you are not messing around tonight.”

Wayne blinked at her innocently. “What are you talking about, Kristen? I don’t understand at all. You’re a novelist with good mastery of the Windsorian language. Would you describe it in detail with a hundred thousand words?”

“How could you not understand?”

“I really don’t. I’d repeat it with my hand on your heart if you don’t believe me.”

That night.

A soundproof barrier took shape in Veronica’s bedroom. After a while, a black figure carried her into the master bedroom while she was in a daze. When he realized that the door had been locked, he silently picked the lock.
