Chapter 148: Chapter 148: Be My Maid!

”How about we have a swimming competition? If you win, I can agree to one of your requests. How about that?” Mo Shumei looked at Xiao Yifeng with her eyes blinking.

”If I lose, do I have to agree to one of your requests too?” Xiao Yifeng couldn’t help but ask.

”That’s right. What do you think?” Mo Shumei nodded.

”Okay, let’s do it.” Xiao Yifeng said eagerly, and then the two of them stood on the edge of the swimming pool.

”Swim from here to the other side and then back again. Whoever returns first wins,” Mo Shumei explained.

”To avoid taking advantage of you, you go first,” Xiao Yifeng said indifferently.

Mo Shumei glanced at Xiao Yifeng, ”In this competition, we can’t use the power of Martial Artists, okay?”

”Don’t worry, I won’t bully you,” Xiao Yifeng said with a smirk.

Splash!

The next second, Mo Shumei dived into the pool and began swimming like a mermaid, her body moving quickly, covering half the distance in the blink of an eye.

Xiao Yifeng laughed and jumped into the water. His arms and legs paddling, he quickly caught up; soon Mo Shumei reached the opposite shore and then turned back, a triumphant smile on her lips as she passed Xiao Yifeng.

”Looks like you’re about to lose,” Mo Shumei said as she swam past Xiao Yifeng, who didn’t seem perturbed and quickly touched the opposite pool wall.

With a powerful kick and a turn, he started swimming back. At this point, Mo Shumei was only about twenty meters from the shore, victory seemingly within her grasp.

But at that moment, Xiao Yifeng burst forth with speed, his arms and legs churning the water like a propeller, shooting forward like an arrow. In an instant, he covered dozens of meters.

By the time Mo Shumei was only ten meters from the shore, Xiao Yifeng surged past her, turned around, and leaned on the edge, watching Mo Shumei approach.

”You...” Mo Shumei came out of the water, her face a picture of astonishment, not having anticipated Xiao Yifeng’s sudden burst of speed.

”You didn’t use Martial Artist power, did you?” Mo Shumei asked suspiciously.

”Rest assured, Xiao Yifeng keeps his promises and wouldn’t go back on my word. I just didn’t show my full strength just now. Swimming is child’s play to me,” Xiao Yifeng said with a smug look.

Mo Shumei’s mouth twitched in a helpless smile as she glanced at Xiao Yifeng.

”Alright then, beautiful, you’ve said it yourself. If I win, you must agree to one of my requests,” Xiao Yifeng said with a playful smile, looking at Mo Shumei, the charming and stunning beauty.

Mo Shumei pressed closer, leaning in front of Xiao Yifeng.

”I wonder what you’d like me to do?” Mo Shumei’s voice teased.

A wicked grin curled at the corners of Xiao Yifeng’s mouth.

”I think having such a charming and lovely beauty as my maid would be nice. The thought is quite appealing,” Xiao Yifeng said with a sneer.

”Maid!” Mo Shumei’s eyes flashed peculiarly, her expression first cooling then melting into a flirtatious smile.

”If you wish me to be your maid, all you need to give me is one thing.”

”You want the Blood Spirit Stone, don’t you?” Xiao Yifeng said coolly.

Mo Shumei’s eyes hardened, her gaze affectionate as she looked at Xiao Yifeng, ”What do you say? My request isn’t excessive, right? As long as you’re willing to give me that stone, I will definitely be your maid.”

”But you’ve already said it, if I beat you, you have to agree to one of my requests without any conditions,” Xiao Yifeng reasoned, wrapping one arm around her.

”Don’t, please!” Mo Shumei whimpered.

”Alright, you are now Xiao Yifeng’s maid. You must obey your master from now on, got it?” Xiao Yifeng said with a malicious grin.

Mo Shumei’s expression gradually turned icy, her eyes shimmering with a cold light, ”You dare make me your maid? Aren’t you afraid of dying?”

”We’ll see about that,” Xiao Yifeng said with a laugh, giving Mo Shumei a onceover:

Suddenly, as Mo Shumei was about to make a move, Xiao Yifeng firmly controlled her with one hand.

”Remember, you are now my maid. If you dare not listen to me in the future, I will make sure you realize how formidable I am!”

With these sinister words, Xiao Yifeng pushed her away, got out of the pool, entered the changing room, quickly changed clothes, and walked out, leaving Mo Shumei glaring at him coldly.

”My precious maid, see you later. You’d better behave well, or you know what I’m capable of. And that stone, forget about it. I’ve already absorbed all its energy. It’s nothing but a useless rock to you now,” Xiao Yifeng said and then walked away.

”Damn bastard,” Mo Shumei clenched her fists and slammed them down on the ground, her face full of rage. Not only did she fail in her plan today, but that guy also took advantage of her and insulted her once again.

She, the esteemed second daughter of the Mo Family, the feared and revered ’beauty snake,’ had been reduced to someone else’s maid. For the prideful Mo Shumei, this was an immense humiliation.

”Bastard, just wait. I’ll get back at you one day,” Mo Shumei said venomously, her eyes flashing with cold fury.

Meanwhile, Xiao Yifeng hummed a tune, walking away with a smug expression.
