Chapter 103: Chapter 103 Timely Appearance

Rip—

Wu Liang tore open the white blouse Hong Mei was wearing on her upper body.

”Wu Liang, you bastard, you’re worse than a beast!” Hong Mei cursed angrily.

Slap!

Wu Liang slapped her, adding another palm print to Hong Mei’s face, and her mouth corner began to bleed, looking somewhat desolate.

”Today, I’m going to let this cheap woman see how formidable this bastard is,” Wu Liang said with a fierce look, as he tore off Hong Mei’s black skirt. He then tried to kiss her, only to be avoided by her.

”You stinking whore, I kiss you, and you don’t want it, do you? Five years ago, I kissed you quite a few times, it seems your first kiss was even taken by me, hahaha!” Wu Liang laughed loudly with a somewhat mad look in his eyes, enough to chill an observer’s heart.

”Even if I die, I won’t let you go; come on, I’ll just consider myself to have been gnawed on by a dog,” Hong Mei said defiantly, with a touch of despair in her eyes, no longer struggling.

A flash of anger passed through Wu Liang’s eyes, and he slapped her again, causing Hong Mei’s fair face to swell slightly.

”Stinking woman, today I will torture you until life is worse than death; I will let you know what real pain is. I will return all the suffering I endured these past few years to you, so this cheap woman knows what it means to regret.”

Wu Liang roared with a vicious expression.

Bang!

Just then, a door-slamming sound came from outside the room, startling both Hong Mei and Wu Liang.

”Could it be??” A hopeful look flashed in Hong Mei’s eyes, as if a ray of light had appeared.

”Dammit, who is it?” A hint of anger flickered in Wu Liang’s eyes.

At that moment, a figure radiating a cold aura walked into the room. It was Xiao Yifeng, who had rushed over. Fortunately, Hong Mei’s home was not far from Haitang Garden, allowing him to arrive so quickly.

Seeing it was indeed Xiao Yifeng, Hong Mei’s face lit up with excitement, and more tears filled her eyes, but they were tears of joy. The world that had seemed so hopeless suddenly seemed bright again.

”Who are you?” Wu Liang looked at Xiao Yifeng and frowned, snorting coldly.

Xiao Yifeng’s eyes swept coldly over Hong Mei and then fixed on Wu Liang with a sharp glint, as he stepped forward and fiercely threw Wu Liang against the wall.

Immediately, Wu Liang hit the wall with no ability to fight back and let out a muffled grunt, coughing up blood.

”Are you alright?”

Xiao Yifeng, looking at Hong Mei’s swollen face and bloodied mouth corners, her eyes brimming with tears, asked with a hint of pity.

Hong Mei looked at Xiao Yifeng and smiled faintly, saying, ”Xiao Yifeng, I didn’t expect you would really come.”

”Of course, how could I let anyone bully you?” Xiao Yifeng revealed a devilishly charming smile.

”Well well, so he’s the pretty boy toy you’ve been keeping, huh? No wonder you wouldn’t let me touch you, turns out you’ve had a lover all along. Looks like you have a taste for ’robbing the cradle’, eh?” Wu Liang got up, his face pale, and yelled angrily.

Xiao Yifeng’s eyes flashed with a cold light, and with a swift motion, he appeared in front of Wu Liang, grasping his throat and lifting him into the air. Wu Liang’s face turned red, his breathing became rapid, and he struggled with his hands to no avail.

”If you want to die, I can oblige you right now,” Xiao Yifeng spoke with an icy voice, tinged with a terrifying murderous intent that made Wu Liang feel like he was in Hell. His face had turned from red to white as if he might suffocate at any moment.

”Don’t, let him go,”

At this moment, Hong Mei quickly spoke up, her eyes revealing a complex expression.

”Hmph!”

Xiao Yifeng snorted coldly and flung Wu Liang out of the room. He landed on the floor, his bath towel undone, leaving him completely naked.

Glancing over at him, Xiao Yifeng showed a look of disdain and spat out, ”Get out now!”

Wu Liang looked at Xiao Yifeng with fear in his eyes and a hint of unwillingness, then hurriedly got up and ran out.

Xiao Yifeng walked over to Hong Mei and said, ”Scum like him don’t deserve to live.”

Hong Mei softly responded, ”If you kill him, you’ll be committing a crime too and, after all, he is my ex-husband. I don’t want it to be like this.”

”What? He’s your ex-husband?” Xiao Yifeng’s face showed shock and confusion.

Hong Mei nodded, lowering her head, with a pained and complicated look in her eyes, ”We started dating in college and got married right after graduation, then prepared for the wedding ceremony.”

”But I never expected that the day before our wedding, he got my bridesmaid, who was also a close friend, drunk and then raped her. I found out and called the cops, he got thrown into jail, and my friend... she committed suicide by jumping off a building.”

Xiao Yifeng hadn’t expected that the bold and passionate Hong Mei would have such a painful history hidden inside her.

”This guy really isn’t a man; to have a wife like you and still go and rape,” Xiao Yifeng said with a curl of his lip, showing his disdain.

”The ridiculous thing is, he blamed all his wrongdoings on me, claiming it was because I never slept with him that he couldn’t stand the loneliness and raped my friend. Utterly shameless,” Hong Mei’s eyes were filled with deep anger.

Glancing at Hong Mei, Xiao Yifeng said, ”Now that you mention it, I understand. I wondered how you could still be a virgin if he was your ex-husband. It turns out you two got a marriage certificate but he hadn’t slept with you. That’s indeed rather tragic.”

Hong Mei’s face flushed, and she glanced at Xiao Yifeng, ”You know that I am...”

”Of course, as a Divine Doctor, how could I not see something like that?”

”At the time, I just wanted to give myself to him on our wedding night, but instead...”

”So that’s why he wanted to do that to you today,” Xiao Yifeng stated indifferently.

”Today he was released from prison, and he came to my home wanting revenge for me calling the cops on him, to do that to me. Luckily, you showed up in time. Thank you, Xiao Yifeng,” Hong Mei looked at him with a hint of gratitude in her eyes.

”We can talk about that later. You have a wound on your head; let me treat it first.”

Xiao Yifeng saw the blood continually seeping from Hong Mei’s forehead, frowned, and quickly took out his Silver Needle kit. He selected a needle and gently stuck it into her head, stopping the bleeding and beginning the scabbing of the wound.

Looking at Hong Mei’s slightly swollen face, Xiao Yifeng reached out a hand to touch it. She stiffened up and looked at him.

”Don’t worry, I’m not that beast. I just want to help reduce the swelling,”
