Daddy Always Gets Jealous

He fiddled with his phone for ages and realized he was missing paperwork!

Just thinking about Ye Bai waking up and finding him in his bedroom—who knew if Ye Bai would remember anything later—and once Ye Bai sobered up, would he think Shen You had tried to take advantage of him?

And that dream—

A wave of guilt hit him. He rubbed his throbbing temples and thought again of last night’s culprit, Yu Zimu.

Damn it, he came to ”drive” them, so what the hell was he doing bringing two bottles of baijiu?

Then he remembered all the stuff Yu Zimu had said before. Could it be this guy did it on purpose?

He called Yu Zimu.

Yu Zimu picked up, but stayed silent for a long time.

Was Youzi even still alive?

He shouldn’t have done anything to Ye Bai, right?

And Ye Bai didn’t beat him to death, did he?

Thinking of Brother Huo’s arrangements again—had Brother Huo seriously never considered Shen You’s personal safety?

Shen You: ”You there?”

Yu Zimu: ”Here.”

Shen You: ”Go buy some hangover meds and bring them over to me.”

Yu Zimu: ”...”

Judging from Youzi’s voice, it was loaded with anger.

If he went over, would Youzi settle accounts with him?

Yu Zimu couldn’t be sure, so he called Huo Jinnan. ”Brother Huo, I’m begging you, you send the hangover stuff over, okay? I’m scared if I go Youzi’s gonna waste me. From how he sounded, he already got beaten up.”

Huo Jinnan frowned.

Youzi couldn’t possibly actually do anything to Ye Bai without knowing Ye Bai was a woman... right?

Youzi’s sexual orientation should be normal.

Yu Zimu: ”Brother Huo, are you listening?”

Huo Jinnan: ”Relax, nothing huge is gonna happen. You go. It’s not convenient for me to show up.”

Yu Zimu was a bit confused. ”That Ye Ming clearly doesn’t want this. Brother Huo, why would you—”

Huo Jinnan: ”You talk too much.”

Yu Zimu: ”...”

Huo Jinnan: ”Nowadays people care about human rights. He has the right to know the truth, and he has the right to choose.”

Yu Zimu: ”...”

Brother Huo was actually talking about human rights.

In front of Brother Huo, he had never had any human rights, okay?

Then thinking it through, Brother Huo hadn’t actually forced him into anything. It was more like he himself didn’t even dare to have human rights!

Fine, blame himself then!

He tidied up a bit, drove out, bought hangover meds at a pharmacy, and delivered them to where Shen You was staying.

As soon as he stepped in, Shen You lifted his foot to kick him.

Yu Zimu was prepared and dodged nimbly. ”If I’d known you were this ungrateful, I wouldn’t have brought you any hangover meds.”

Shen You stared at Yu Zimu, his eyes dark. ”Were you up to no good last night?”

Yu Zimu immediately straightened up and looked him in the eye. ”What’s that supposed to mean? How was I up to no good?”

He set the hangover meds aside.

Shen You picked them up, glanced at them, then looked back at Yu Zimu.

Yu Zimu looked at Shen You. ”You’ve been going on forever—what are you trying to say?”

Shen You: ”Keep acting. You’re really selling it.”

Yu Zimu: ”Acting what, exactly?”

Shen You stared at Yu Zimu, silent for a long time. He couldn’t exactly say Yu Zimu had plied him with booze just so he’d do something to Ye Bai, right?

Even though he really hadn’t done anything to Ye Bai... there was still that dream—

Yu Zimu studied Shen You’s expression. ”You... what’s wrong with you?”

Shen You pulled his expression back under control. ”Nothing.”

Yu Zimu looked at him, not buying it at all. Had Youzi actually done something to Ye Bai? Was he really gay?

No way!

If that were the case, Yu Zimu would end up traumatized!

Shen You looked at Yu Zimu. ”What’s with that look on your face?”

Yu Zimu shook his head. ”Nothing. Where’s Ye Bai?”

Hearing Yu Zimu ask about Ye Bai, Shen You said, ”Upstairs, still out cold.”

Only then did Yu Zimu notice the dark circles under his eyes.
