The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

”Fat Carrot, what’s your name? Are you the new apprentice of True Monarch Hanshan?” The big dog tilted its head and asked Tianmiao.

”Ah... yes. I’m Tianmiao, what’s yours?” Fat Carrot also tilted her head at the big dog, but because her head and body were one whole piece, she almost fell over.

The big dog extended a paw to help Fat Carrot straighten up, preventing her from falling. A smile involuntarily appeared in its eyes. This Fat Carrot is so fun, a bit silly, and cute!

”Me? My name is Xiao Tian,” said the big dog. ”My master is Erlang God. You know him, right?”

”Nope,” Fat Carrot denied, swaying her carrot stalk. ”But your name sounds nice. Both of our names have ’Tian’.”

”I guess so, you’re just a newly-intelligent little demon, of course you don’t know my master’s great name.” Howling Celestial Dog thought about how Fat Carrot hadn’t even cultivated a human form yet and was brought to the Heavenly Court by True Monarch Hanshan. It was no surprise she knew nothing.

”Hehe, you think my name sounds good, huh? Your name sounds good too,” Howling Celestial Dog laughed. ”I live at Guan River Mouth. Call your mentor to bring you over to play with me when you have time. Don’t wander off on your own; you’re too weak. If a monster eats you up, that’ll be bad news.”

”Okay,” Fat Carrot responded earnestly.

”Little junior sister...” Yi Lan’s voice came from afar.

”My senior sister is calling me, I need to go.” Fat Carrot stood up, waved at Howling Celestial Dog, and then turned to leave.

Howling Celestial Dog also waved its paw at Fat Carrot, watching her figure fade into the distance.

After a short while, Erlang God came out. Today, Erlang God was dressed in silver robes, his brows lively, still a handsome young man.

”Xiao Tian, let’s go,” Erlang God called.

”Coming,” responded Howling Celestial Dog, who then transformed into a human shape, becoming a graceful young man. ”Master, True Monarch Hanshan’s palace has a fun fat carrot spirit. I invited her to come and play with us at Guan River Mouth next time. She’s True Monarch Hanshan’s new apprentice.”

”Oh?” Erlang God looked at Howling Celestial Dog with some surprise. ”You’ve never invited anyone back to visit before? What’s special about this fat carrot?”

”She’s a bit silly and very cute. Her aura is very soothing,” Howling Celestial Dog said with a smile.

”It’s rare for you to make a friend. That’s nice; I’ll send a message to True Monarch Hanshan next time, asking him to bring his apprentice to visit,” Erlang God also smiled. To Erlang God, Howling Celestial Dog was not a pet but his most important relative and partner. Because when Howling Celestial Dog fought alongside him, it was exceptionally fierce, making people’s hearts tremble, naturally resulting in little kinship. Friends were even rarer. It was rare for Howling Celestial Dog to make a friend today, and Erlang God was truly happy for him.

”Alright,” Howling Celestial Dog nodded, ”Thank you, Master.”

”No need to stand on ceremony between us. When she visits next time, make sure to treat her well,” Erlang God said warmly.

Howling Celestial Dog smiled and nodded again.

...

At this time, Yi Lan was holding Fat Carrot, chattering away: ”Little junior sister, where did you go? Don’t wander around. You’re so cute; what if some other immortals take you away and hide you? I’d cry myself silly. Remember, stay within my sight, okay? Let’s go; senior sister will make tea for you. Erlang God just visited and brought Spiritual Tea; it should taste very nice.”

”Oh, okay, thank you, senior sister,” Fat Carrot replied earnestly.

Fat Carrot’s earnest gratitude made Yi Lan’s heart melt, almost making her want to scream. How is her little junior sister so adorable?
