The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

”Thank you, sister. Will you come back to play with me?” The little girl tugged at Kong Hou’s clothes, looking at her expectantly.

Kong Hou didn’t answer.

Li Jiali stroked her daughter’s little head and said softly, ”Sister has a lot of things to do. She can’t just think about playing.”

”Okay, then I’ll play by myself. Sister, even if you’re busy, you should still take care to rest. Daddy always tells Mommy to take a break because it’s tiring, and you should too, it’s tiring, you need to rest more.” The little girl said earnestly.

Kong Hou felt conflicted and nodded. She also reached out and stroked the little girl’s head. Human children, sometimes, can indeed be quite cute.

”Jiali, I’m leaving.” Kong Hou hugged Li Jiali and said softly.

Li Jiali held Kong Hou tightly and nodded.

The next moment, Kong Hou had vanished from Li Jiali’s embrace.

Li Jiali’s tears fell at that instant. She knew that this child had left and would never be seen again.

”Mommy, Mommy, don’t cry, don’t cry.” The little girl, seeing Li Jiali crying, hurriedly rushed into Li Jiali’s arms, wrapping her arms around her neck.

”I’m not crying, not crying...” Li Jiali wiped her tears.

”What happened?” At this moment, Liang Ge came up to the attic, seeing Li Jiali and the child embracing, with an array of candies, toys, and several boxes on the floor.

”Did Kong Hou come by?” Liang Ge reacted immediately.

”Yes, she’s gone again, this time she won’t be coming back.” Li Jiali stood up and nodded, ”These are all left by her for us.”

”Did she just leave like that? She helped us so much, and we haven’t even repaid her, and she just left?” Liang Ge looked at the things scattered on the ground and said with complex emotions. For the mysterious Kong Hou whom he had never met, his heart was filled with deep gratitude, and he wanted to repay her well. But let alone repaying, he hadn’t even had the chance to meet her.

”Sister is a fairy, she’s gone back to the heavens.” The little girl said seriously.

”Yes, yes, sister is a fairy, a wonderfully kind fairy.” Liang Ge picked up the little girl, kissed her cheek, and said sincerely.

”Thank you, fairy sister.” The little girl nodded seriously once again.

”Yes, thank you, thank you...” Liang Ge said softly.

...

Kong Hou contacted Dong Xiao and returned to the Everything Has Store.

”Back so soon?” Dong Xiao asked.

Kong Hou said nothing.

”What’s wrong, not feeling well? Can’t let go?” Dong Xiao asked again.

”A bit.” Kong Hou replied gloomily, ”I kind of understand now why Qilin searched for so long to find his master. He couldn’t let go of that bond.”

”Don’t think too much. It’s a good thing you came back promptly. Humans have short lifespans, they will reincarnate, and after reincarnation, they will lose the memories of their previous lives. Only we, who still live, remember the past. It’s truly quite cruel. That’s why I don’t wish to interact much with humans.” Dong Xiao gently consoled.

”I know.” Kong Hou remained downcast.

”But, everything has pros and cons. Although it’s hard to part with, it helps us understand what love is. Humans truly are wondrous creatures. Even though they’re so weak, they can have limitless love in their hearts.” Dong Xiao marveled.

”Yeah. Where to in the next world? What about the master?” Kong Hou, obviously unwilling to discuss this further, shifted the topic.

”Asleep. You should prepare too.” Dong Xiao said, ”I thought you’d come back later. The next world is also quite miraculous, it’s a Great World.”
