MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1480: Myriad Prodigies: Fighting Lust (1)

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Continuing to watch Erika transform in front of his very eyes, the solemn expression on Valyrʼs face gradually turned into a frown.

Although the aura he felt from her was undoubtedly a sign that she was part of the Underworld, the pressure it gave off exceeded what even the Vessel of Envy gave off during its first transformation.

ʼIs she a high-ranking member of the Underworld?ʼ He surmised, trying his best to recall what he knew about the Underworld from his previous life.

While that was happening, Erikaʼs form continued to undergo subtle changes.

For one, her fair and supple skin took on a deathly pale complexion, with wrinkles faintly appearing around the edges of her face.

Aside from that, her body structure turned skinny, giving one the feeling that they were looking at a skeleton covered in skin rather than an actual person.

Ironically, after the transformation to her body had been done, the robe she wore morphed into clothing that showed more parts of her skin, vaguely mimicking the clothing of what courtesans normally wore.

By the time Erikaʼs transformation was finalized, she looked like an old and emaciated succubus, her appearance making it seem like she was just barely holding onto the final threads of life.

Yet, contrary to her appearance, her vitality thrummed with power, the aura she let out infused with levels of might akin to the Vessel of Envy Valyr fought against.

Not only that, but a potent charm could be sensed from the aura, causing Valyr to distance himself even further because of it.

ʼ…I see.ʼ Taking in every part of Erikaʼs transformation, the young man took in a deep breath to compose himself as he mentally resisted the charms the former was passively giving out.

While doing so, he finally got the answer to the question on his mind, gaining further confirmation of it the moment he used [Superior Analysis] on her.

Ding!

ʼA Lesser Sin of the Underworld, huh…ʼ Feeling a slight headache at how the situation unfolded, Valyr could not help but put his hand to his head.

ʼHow the hell am I meeting these guys so early?ʼ

Although Vessels and Lesser Sins were usually considered by the Underworld to be on the same tier of hierarchy, there was a stark difference between them.

For Vessels, almost all of them were forcefully made that way, usually by a high-ranking member of the Underworld. Because of that, the limits on how much they tap into the power of their sin was limited, with Rank 8 being considered their hard cap.

On the other hand, those who become Lesser Sins all volunteered to embrace becoming part of the Underworld, allowing them to maintain sentience even after tapping into the power of their sin.

In fact, with them retaining their sentience, some Lesser Sins gain enough control over their sin and reach a higher level of power, allowing them to move up on the hierarchy of the Underworld.

Itʼs because of such differences that Vessels were considered by the Underworld as fodders, while Lesser Sins were considered nominal members of the organization.

Either way, Valyr and many players still thought of them as their banes of existence.

ʼ[Four Paths Elemental Arts: Fleeting Azure Dragon].ʼ

Understanding that he would undoubtedly lose now that Erika had transformed, Valyr went ahead and activated all of the buffing skills he had saved for such critical moments.

ʼ[Descent of the True Wyvern].ʼ

ʼ[Primeval Immolation].ʼ

In the end, he used all of the remaining buff skills in his arsenal, even the one that was attached to the first Legendary grade weapon he had created.

Then again, even if his health wasnʼt going down with every passing second, he knew that he could only fight against her for a limited time.

And with that in mind, he took initiative.

ʼ[Blink of the Azure Dragon].ʼ

Whoosh!

Closing the gap between the two of them all of a sudden, Valyr caught Erika unaware as he slashed out with the Supreme Blade of Primeval Flames.

ʼ[Primeval Flamesʼ Rending].ʼ

Cutting horizontally through her upper torso, he then put distance between them once more before infusing a massive amount of energy into the blade.

Allowing the energy in the blade to wreak havoc, Valyr soon shot out a massive orb of flames towards Erika, immediately engulfing her as both it and the side effect of the first attack hastily reduced her health, causing her to scream in anguish.

Whoosh!

Storing the Supreme Blade of Primeval Flames back into his spatial bracelet, he then took out his crimson spear once more, activating a skill he hadnʼt used for quite a long time.

ʼ[Four Paths Azure Liberation].ʼ

ʼ[Unfettered Spear].ʼ

Swoosh!

With his aura billowing out wantonly, the young man closed the gap between them once more as he struck directly at Erikaʼs vitals.

ʼ[Phoenix Piercing the Skies].ʼ

Just as she had begun to dispel the side effects brought about by Valyrʼs first two attacks, Erika was caught unaware once more as she felt something pierce straight through her throat.

Feeling a slight sense of fear at the young manʼs continuously overbearing attacks, Erika was forced to accept the next attack, seeing as the momentum of the young man made it impossible for her to resist.

ʼ[Dragon Cutting the World].ʼ

Bang!
