MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 993: Final Adjustments

”Is that so?” Myst faintly chuckled at those words, heading deeper into the workshop to where Valyr was. ”Did Alfaera give you a heads-up that I was coming to meet you? Or did Tristan tell you about it?”

”As far as I know, Tristan is still resting after staying up for a couple days watching me.” Valyr shook his head in response. ”As for Alfaera, she didnʼt send me a message that you were coming to the Blacksmith Guild to meet me.”

At those words, a hint of confusion appeared on Mystʼs face. ”What did you mean by your earlier words, then?”

Thankfully, just as the question left her mouth, she took note of the set of black and green armor beside the young man, immediately getting the feeling that it was made for her.

Widening her eyes at this sensation, she soon looked back at Valyr, only to see the latter smiling back at her.

”Iʼm guessing you already have an idea why.” Valyr let out a bit of laughter, soon confirming Mystʼs thoughts. ”Just wanted to see if this set of armor I forged suits you well before the monster tide arrives.”

Though Myst was pleasantly surprised by the fact that Valyr took the time to make her armor, the confusion that she had before still lingered. ”Wait, but Alfaera told me you were forging items the town was lacking for the upcoming monster tide.”

”Yeah.” Valyr nodded. ”I forged all of that... I think itʼs already two days ago.”

”Anyways, I focused on forging some equipment for you and the others after that.”

Saying those words, Valyr then gave a brief overview of everything that happened in the past couple days to Myst, eventually diverting her attention to the fact that the town wouldnʼt be able to request his help for long.

Naturally, he also explained his gratitude to the former village and how he did not want to see the town succumb to the monster tide, which was why he was forging a set of armor for Astarto Townʼs strongest combatants.

”Well, I was planning to forge a couple more items aside from this set of armor,” said Valyr as The adorned a wry smile.

”However, with only three days remaining until the monster tide by the time I was finished with Tristanʼs request, I decided to focus on the person that would make the greatest impact with a new set of equipment.”

”And that person is... me?” Putting two and two in her head together, Myst eventually pointed at herself, to which Valyr nodded in response.

With his rough explanation of what happened over the past few days now over, Valyr soon requested Myst to try the True Gale Wolf Armor heʼd forged, telling her that he still had to adjust a few things to suit her perfectly.

”Iʼll need to ask you a couple of questions later,” said the young man, to which Myst nodded as she began to equip the set of armor.

With every additional piece, Valyr began to feel Mystʼs aura gradually rising, understanding that the passive skill and the set effect of the armor was slowly being activated.

By the time she adorned the entire set of armor, the young man faintly smiled in satisfaction, confident that the current Myst would be able to beat the previous Greater Tidemother without even breaking a sweat.

Aside from that, he admired how the armor suited Myst well, prompting the young man to realize how much sheʼd changed since the last time they saw each other.

Though she still sported a set of long silver hair, her face now looked more mature than before, bearing a hint of elegance amidst the strength she wielded.

Her jade green eyes glistened under the rays of the sun, forming a harmonious sight when the dark green motifs of the True Gale Wolf Armor glinted due to the rays as well.

ʼNow that I think about it, everyone has changed since the last time I saw them.ʼ Seeing Myst grin widely as she wore the suit of armor, Valyr briefly thought back to Alfaera and Tristan, only now realizing the vicissitudes of time marring their faces.

Asking Myst a couple of questions regarding her thoughts on the armor and what areas could be improved, Valyr soon had a short list of adjustments he needed to make, prompting the woman to remove the set of armor she gladly wore.

Because of that, the young man noticed the various scars surrounding Mystʼs arms, prompting him to inwardly let out a sigh as he thought about how he was somewhat at fault for it happening in the first place.

Reminding himself that he could only learn from the past and use it to change the present, Valyr made use of his forging skills once more, retrieving the Hammer of Beginnings from his spatial bracelet as translucent arms appeared around him.

Of course, Myst was immediately left at a loss for words after seeing Valyr in this state, only to become mesmerized as she felt that the young man was dragging her to a realm of craftsmanship that only the two of them could see.

Thankfully for her, the sensation did not last for long, prompting Myst to snap back to reality as Valyr told him to try out the armor again.

Wearing the set of True Gale Wolf Armor for a second time, Mystʼs eyes immediately widened in surprise as she quickly noticed the changes that were made to the armor.

Doing a few basic movements to see if her mobility was hampered, she eventually concluded that there was no problem going all out with the set of armor she was wearing.

Even more so when sheʼd eventually be up against the Greater Tidemother in the upcoming monster tide.

More than satisfied with the adjustments Valyr made to the armor, Myst then cooperated with the young man as he went all out in enhancing and refining the entire set to suit her needs. Though heʼd already heard from Alfaera and Tristan that Myst was aiming to reach the peak of Rank 4, Valyr still couldnʼt help but feel a bit of surprise, even more so when she mentioned that her Intent was already at 7th Grade.

Pushing the thought of her achievements to the side for the meantime, the young man went ahead and enhanced the entire True Gale Wolf Armor to Level 75, only to refine all of the pieces to +10 after that.

Then, after advancing all of the piecesʼ foundations to the 1st tier, he utilized Prime Azure Energy as his energy source while activating [Attribute Awakening of the First Blacksmith], wondering if the 20% boost Prime Azure Energy had on mana-based skills would also work on his forging skills.

Surprisingly, it worked, though the 20% boost was in the probability of getting a good awakening.

Because of the increased probability, Valyr was eventually able to achieve a near-perfect awakening on all of the pieces making up the True Gale Wolf Armor after spending a few hours on it, prompting him to let out a faint sigh of relief as he used a skill on one of them.

”[Superior Analysis].”
