MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

900  Returning to the Guild

”And weʼre back.”

Whoosh!

With Julian conjuring a platform that both he and Valyr could ride on, it did not take long for the two to arrive at the entrance of the Blacksmith Guild.

In fact, if one were to calculate the time it took for Julian to get the message from the gates, leave to head where Valyr was, and then make his way back to the guild, not even an entire hour would have passed.

Looking at the large building in front of him where heʼd spent a great portion of his time before the inheritance, a faint hint of nostalgia washed over Valyrʼs body as he thought about the items heʼd forged.

ʼNow that Iʼm equipped with tons of knowledge thanks to the inheritance, it wonʼt be long till I upgrade them,ʼ thought the young man to himself, glancing at the orc heʼd brought along.

At the moment, the orc was unconscious, with most of his body still wrapped in a cocoon made out of energy.

This was due to Julian intentionally knocking out the orc, especially after he had heard from Valyr on their way back that the orc could speak in the same language as them.

Though theyʼve already captured a couple of orcs here and there that had the same ability, none of them were all that willing to help the humans out, always asking for something in exchange before making a move.

With that, Julian hoped that Valyr could talk to the orc a bit more and coerce him to work alongside the humans, to which the latter responded that he would try his best to do so.

After Julian had arranged some of the staff to take care of the orc for the meantime, the two soon entered the main hall of the Blacksmith Guild.

It did not take long for the two to be soon greeted by a couple of the guild staff, with most of them looking at them with surprise evident in their expressions.

”Youʼve already returned, Guildmaster?” While the other guild staff were seemingly stunned in place from the appearance of the two, the guild staff that told Julian about Valyr looked at the two before asking in slight surprise.

”Yeah.” Julian nodded, only to smile soon after as he patted Valyr on the shoulder. ”Our candidate from the Four Pillarsʼ Inheritance has finally returned.”

At those words, the other people in the main hall looked at each other in slight confusion, only for them to soon realize what the man meant by that.

Within seconds, all of them looked at Valyr with excitement in their eyes, immediately understanding that the young man had brought a lot of things from the inheritance they could use.

Specifically, blacksmithing knowledge that they could benefit from.

Just as the staff at the hall were about to bombard Valyr with questions regarding his experiences and gains from the inheritance, Julian stopped them beforehand as he gave them a stern expression.

”For the meantime, make sure that everyone in the guild does not spread knowledge of our candidateʼs return,” said Julian as he exuded a bit of aura, instilling fear into those that were previously eager to ask Valyr questions.

Sensing this aura, almost all of the staff shuddered in response, only to recall that they were in front of the head of the Blacksmith Guild.

At that thought, the staff immediately knew what they needed to do, politely excusing themselves as they told the others of what Julian told them.

In the end, only Julian, Valyr, and the staff that informed Julian in the first place were left at the hall, with the latter looking at Valyr with a slightly apologetic smile on his face.

”We apologize that we werenʼt informed of your departure from the inheritance sooner,” said the staff as he bowed to the young man, to which Valyr dismissed with a wave of his hands.

”Itʼs fine,” replied Valyr, not taking any offense on the matter. ”I wouldʼve come here either way, so the only difference wouldʼve been the time I got here.”

”And probably the number of people that asked me questions regarding what I got from the inheritance,” continued the young man as he let out a faint chuckle.

Nodding in response to the young manʼs words, the staff soon shifted his gaze towards Julian. ”Should I inform the elders of his return? Also, should I have them keep forging some of the items youʼve been tasked with forging?”

”Donʼt inform them for the meantime.” Julian shook his head. ”Though theyʼre elders, theyʼre more forceful than the staff here earlier when it comes to asking questions. After all, many of them have yet to take the final step needed to become a Legend.”

”And you know very well how those desperate to become Legends are like,” added the man, causing the staff to wryly smile as he nodded.

”Well, I trust that you more or less know what I need you to do,” said Julian not long after that. ”Iʼll eventually hold something in the main hall related to Ylvarʼs return, but for now, make sure that this information does not leak out as much as possible.”

”Also, keep an eye on the other staff just now.” At those words, Julian returned to a serious expression. ”Wouldnʼt hurt to be cautious, especially now that weʼre at war against the orcs.”

”Understood.” Having committed all of the things Julian wanted him to do to memory, the staff soon left the main hall to do what was asked of him, leaving the man and Valyr alone after that.

”I didnʼt expect you to have a secretary all of a sudden.” Going over the conversation that happened just now, Valyr looked at Julian and flashed a slightly amused smile.

Julian chuckled in response as he urged Valyr to follow him in making their way to his workshop. ”I probably wouldnʼt have been able to meet you at the gates if I were doing everything by myself.”

”Plus, heʼs someone Iʼve only recruited after making sure I could trust them,” the man continued. ”With how much heʼs done for the guild, heʼs definitely reduced the burden on all of us, especially if you think about how our guild and the Alchemist Guild have been contributing the most to the war efforts.”

”The guild has definitely been through a lot these past few months,” said Valyr in response as he wryly smiled.

”Probably not as much as you, seeing as youʼve only gotten out of the inheritance just now,” replied Julian, telling Valyr after that to continue their conversation once they were at his workshop.

Of course, it did not take long for the two to arrive there, especially with how much Valyrʼs strength had improved in the inheritance.

With Julian conjuring a barrier around them that made sure no one could eavesdrop on their conversation, it was only then did the man look back at Valyr, eager to know the things heʼd obtained from the inheritance.

”So, what kind of gains have you and the others made in the inheritance?”

Having been holed up in the Blacksmith Guild all this time due to the equipment he needed to forge, Julian did not receive information from the four that left before Valyr on the things they gained from the inheritance.

Then again, he still heard a few things here and there about how those that entered the inheritance left with Intents, as well as knowledge that would allow them to shine even further in their respective fields.

”Iʼve gained far more than you think.” Going over the things heʼd obtained in the inheritance, a faint smile soon adorned Valyrʼs face as he went through what he felt like the information Julian wanted to hear from him.

With that, he talked about the fact that heʼd reached the peak of Rank 3 while in the inheritance, as well as the fact that heʼd obtained a lot of forging blueprints from the various trials heʼd attempted within.

Aside from that, he talked about the Intents heʼd comprehended while in the inheritance, focusing mostly on the Intent of Forging and the Intent of Forgerʼs Flames.

Hearing directly from the young man that those two Intents were already at 6th Grade, Julian looked at the young man in shock, not expecting the inheritance to have given him that much.

Of course, Valyr still had a lot more to say aside from that, such as how he inherited a different form of energy that combined both Shadow Energy and mana.

”Itʼs called Azure Energy,” said the young man with a smile, conjuring a ball of it on one of his palms for Julian to sense its strength. ”Iʼm sure Elder Noel would be left at a loss for words if he saw this.”

Then, after talking a bit more about Azure Energy, he talked about the forging knowledge he gained from the inheritance, such as the fact that he now had knowledge on technology from more advanced eras.

”How advanced of an era did you reach?” asked Julian in response. ”As far as I remember, obtaining information on the High Middle Ages is usually the average when it comes to forging knowledge.”

”Since youʼve been there for far longer than the others that came with you… Iʼm guessing… the Renaissance Age?”

At those words, Valyr merely smiled, telling Julian that heʼd obtained information up to the First Industrial Revolution.

And surprisingly…

Julian had no clue what that was.

”…”

”…Whatʼs the First Industrial Revolution?”

900 chapters.

Not gonna lie, I thought I was gonna take longer to get to this milestone, but now that itʼs here, it feels... surreal.
