Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 808: Chapter 807: Run to Exhaustion

The first class came to a close, but Gu Tong didn’t dismiss on time because Sheng Yiweng, for some reason, seemed to be under a spell. Ever since the first class ended, he hadn’t budged from the classroom at all.

He repeatedly attempted surgical practices inside the classroom and, upon encountering problems, would immediately inquire with Gu Tong, absolutely unwilling to waste valuable resources.

Gu Tong was dumbfounded as she instructed him...

Feeling that karma truly doesn’t fail, she thought how she had tormented her teachers in the past, and now it’s all coming back to her...

...

Time flew by quickly, and Sheng Yiweng remained fully engaged in surgical practice, brimming with energy. He seized every opportunity to consult with Gu Tong, who in return answered and guided him without reservation. In a short time, both their foreheads were beaded with sweat. Unknowingly, it was already afternoon, so they had to end the class.

Sheng Yiweng reluctantly packed up the surgical tools, and Gu Tong nodded and smiled at him, clearly pleased with his performance. They finally concluded the rather exhausting first lesson.

In the afternoon, Gu Tong was free. She recalled a call from Feng Ruyue yesterday, asking her to visit the Feng Family if she had time, considering she was free, she planned to go see them.

After all, she didn’t want to return to the Li Family early and face Gong Qingwan’s hypocritical face.

Thinking like this, Gu Tong walked towards the school’s front gate.

The No. 5 Teaching Building wasn’t far from the school gate; she just needed to cross the large field within the school to reach it.

The scenery at the National Medical College was beautiful. Gu Tong strolled leisurely across the campus, feeling the gentle breeze blowing lightly, which significantly lifted her mood.

”Huff, huff...”

As she passed the field area, slightly heavy breathing echoed throughout the vast space.

Hao Jiale, with a pink headband tied around her head, was running constantly, her forehead covered with beads of sweat, indicating the length of her exercise.

This girl set extra laps for herself? Seeing this scene, that was Gu Tong’s first thought.

Thinking about Hao Jiale’s ambitious nature, Gu Tong somewhat understood.

However, physical stamina isn’t something that can be trained in a day.

One must know that developing physical abilities is an endless pursuit and cannot be achieved in one go.

”Stop!”

The sudden shout reached Hao Jiale’s ears, and as she was running, her pace gradually slowed. Puzzled, she turned her head to see Gu Tong standing at the edge of the field, beckoning her with a finger.

Hao Jiale completely stopped her movements and stood on the field, hesitantly walking over and said, ”Hello, Teacher...”

Even though she was upset with Gu Tong for deceiving her, she still had to call her ”Teacher,” as it was the basic politeness of a student.

”Are you planning to run yourself into the ground and then complain to get me fired by the academy?” Gu Tong teased with amusement.

Hao Jiale widened her eyes, clearly not expecting Gu Tong to say that, and replied, ”My physical condition isn’t good, so I’m intensifying my training! Even if I do collapse, if asked, I’d say it’s because I insisted on doing it!”

Hao Jiale was a bit angry and felt even more that Gu Tong wasn’t fit to be a teacher, as she deliberately misinterpreted her student’s actions, which would surely sadden someone with a softer disposition.

”Even if the decision to add laps has nothing to do with me, running laps was my call. Ultimately, I would get blamed, and that would anger me, as I remind you, your uncle is the director, with authority to suppress.”

Gu Tong picked her ear nonchalantly, as if she’d seen through everything, and said, ”As a doctor yourself, you should know the limits of human physical capabilities. These can only be gradually improved step by step, not rushed. You’re knowingly breaking the rules—isn’t that thought-provoking?”
