Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 206: 206: The Role of Assistant

If these words were said to someone else, perhaps it wouldn’t matter, but they had to choose to say them to Gu Tong. This was no different from seeking death!

Gu Tong looked at them, her eyes filled with ice-coldness, devoid of any other emotion. Just how selfish and self-serving must one be to utter such words?

She was embarrassed for them! No wonder Li Yan’s injuries were so severe—doctors on the battlefield had shaky legs, let alone the ability to hold a scalpel.

”Do you know what Auxiliary Students are?”

Gu Tong spoke word by word. All her patience was completely worn out. Before the two could answer, she continued, ”The task of Auxiliary Students is to support the special trainees of the Academy! Drivers, Royal Doctors, Literary trainees—all fall within this range.”

”Their primary mission is to assist the Academy, ensure the successful completion of the Academy’s tasks, and maximize the Academy’s overall capabilities. This is their purpose. On the battlefield, trainees are at the frontline; Auxiliary Students merely assist. Whether it’s a combat strategy or mission plan, they cannot be influenced by Auxiliary Students!”

”I’ve only ever heard of Auxiliary Students sacrificing themselves to support the Academy without causing trouble for the main Academy but never of the Academy changing combat strategy due to the unreasonable demands of Auxiliary Students!”

Her point was fully expressed! She was teaching them how to be proper people, while also teaching them how to be trainees.

Don’t think being a Royal Doctor is an easy job; they really underestimated this type of trainee.

Xie Yongfei and Li Yunping blushed. They realized just how inappropriate their words were earlier—it was simply a disgrace to the Royal Doctors...

”Sorry...we...” They wanted to apologize and even more so to gain Gu Tong’s forgiveness. After all, they were newcomers, facing the battlefield for the first time, understanding nothing, which was understandable.

They believed she would surely forgive them...

”No need to apologize to me! It’s meaningless! What’s more important is to remain steadfast in your beliefs.”

Gu Tong plainly uttered these emotionless words, but she did not want to continue dawdling. She tugged at her mask, confirmed her disguise was complete, and then stepped out of the jeep.

Her task was to rescue the trainees! Meanwhile, she also had to assist Li Yan to prevent the misfortunes of past lives from repeating. Teaching these Royal Doctors how to be doctors was not within her scope!

”Tong, wait for us...”

Seeing Gu Tong alight from the vehicle, the two suddenly panicked, knowing they had said and done the wrong things, so they didn’t dare provoke her anymore. They obediently got out of the vehicle, carefully following her closely, no longer daring to have any presumptuous ideas.

...

The trainees in the jeep disembarked one after another and had already gathered, now just waiting for the officer’s orders.

Li Yan was meticulous; he had long observed the terrain and rationally made the first choice: to retreat to a location in the mountains to use as a temporary hideout.

The trainees dared not slack and began to move systematically and orderly. They knew that now dangers lurked everywhere, that death could come at any moment. It was precisely for this reason that they had to be especially vigilant in carrying out their tasks.

Gu Tong stayed in the middle of the Academy’s formation, allowing her a clear view ahead while also being able to observe the surrounding situation. It was indeed a good combat position. Her eyes never rested, constantly studying the nearby terrain and beginning to analyze how to respond.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, the trainees finally halted!

It was a dangerous spot in a mountain ditch that could barely be used for hiding.

Li Yan waved his hand and ordered, ”Everyone, rest on the spot! Be ready for combat at any time!”
