Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 203: 203: Otherwise, we will be attacked by the enemy.

”Child...”

A certain deputy squad leader was a bit taken aback, but he also didn’t know what Li Yan was referring to.

”When we just entered the mountain! I clearly remembered there was a child standing on the hill, watching us!”

At that time, they hadn’t reached the mountain pass, so they didn’t pay too much attention, but now thinking back, it felt strange.

Children are the best choice for surveillance, they wouldn’t arouse suspicion, much less attract unnecessary attention, standing at a high place, they could grasp the entire situation in a fleeting moment.

If this child was indeed a monitoring person performing a reconnaissance mission, then all their current situations might have been grasped by the enemy.

At the very least, how many vehicles there are...

With such basic information controlled, it wouldn’t be hard to guess the number of people and military strength...

”Earl, you mean...”

The deputy squad leader finally realized and broke out in a cold sweat, if this were truly the case, their current situation would be precarious.

”Retreat quickly!” Li Yan ordered, yet he had already made the most rational choice.

They had discovered such a special situation, if they continued to hold their ground, the danger might become more severe.

Moreover, he felt as if manipulated by the bandits, thinking carefully, it was just to avoid enemy surveillance that they chose to detour around the mountain!

But if this was the enemy’s deliberate trap! They would be falling into it!

Damn it!

Despite careful planning, they missed the most crucial key point, it was just one step, but it could easily cause deviation.

”Which way...”

They could go forward now, and could also retreat, however, which path would be safe was unknown.

”Up the mountain!”

Retreating wasn’t necessarily safe, advancing could likely result in tires being blown, under such circumstances, going uphill was the best choice.

Although they knew the terrain, they couldn’t recon every corner of the mountain; only by handling the time gaps well would they have enough time to utilize!

”Yes!”

At critical moments on the battlefield, they unconditionally followed the commander’s orders, this was the basic quality of a trainee.

The jeep began changing direction, sprinting towards the mountain; although the mountain road was rugged, relying on concealment alone was enough to make up for many shortcomings.

...

On the other side.

Gu Tong finally opened her eyes, her luminous eyes scanning outside the window, and with the gradually felt tilt of the vehicle, she knew they were going uphill now!

She remembered clearly, Li Yan had once told her, when they first arrived at the battlefield, they were almost ambushed, fortunately, they evaded and ran up the mountain in time, otherwise, they would have been attacked by the enemy!

It was his strong observational skills that saved them from a disaster.

Because of this, Gu Tong wasn’t worried that problems would occur just as they arrived at Taiping Mountain, her biggest concern now was the change in the subsequent situation, especially causing Li Yan to get hurt because of it.

However, resurrection is not omnipotent! She could only know what would happen in the future and recall the big picture, but the details were completely unknown to her.

Being able to understand fragments and connect them was already extremely challenging.

Thinking of this, Gu Tong felt a bit of a headache, she rubbed her temples, only feeling particularly exhausted, she must find the key to the situation and resolutely avoid Li Yan getting injured this time, otherwise, her coming this time would lose its true meaning.
