Reborn and Counterattack: The CEO's Powerful Sweetheart

Chapter 170: 170: Might as well hold you hostage

”It’s right in this warehouse! Let’s charge in!”

After an indeterminate amount of time, there was finally a commotion at the entrance. The leader, holding a laser, led the charge from the Academy with unwavering determination.

Their orders were to capture Misya and Kun, dead or alive. They were loyal trainees, completely committed to executing the upper command’s orders flawlessly!

’Ka-cha――――’

The iron door was kicked open with immense force, causing it to tremble.

The leader cautiously stepped inside, continuously aiming the laser at nearby positions. After confirming there was no danger, he waved his hand, signaling his subordinates to follow one after another!

But they did not let down their guard, because they knew who their opponents were and just how cunning they could be.

”Boss, there’s a candle here! It was extinguished not long ago; they must still be nearby!”

The subordinate’s voice reached the leader’s ears, making him even more cautious as he said, ”Keep searching, don’t overlook any corner! We must...”

Before his voice could finish, a cold wind swept from his side; the leader immediately dodged, his eyes widening in disbelief as he said, ”Kun!”

Kun moved with precision, his palm wind terrifying, tightly gripping the laser as it activated!

The leader was also skilled, with strength equal to Kun’s. He decisively counterattacked swiftly, instructing his subordinates, ”Fire at will, leave no one alive...” The word ’alive’ was swallowed.

Because he acutely sensed a cold laser pressing against the back of his head!

A scent belonging to a woman wafted into his nostrils, slightly intoxicating. Before he could react, Gu Tong appeared at his side, smiling subtly, ”Good evening, sir. I am not your enemy and will not harm you. I only hope you cooperate with me and don’t make any sudden moves. Thank you.”

”...Who’s aiming the weapon at whom? Who’s not cooperating...”

The leader was almost spitting blood. His sharp gaze flickered as he got a clear look at Gu Tong, coldly stating, ”You’re not one of Kerry’s people!”

He had researched all information about the enemy but never about this woman from Longxing Country. He trusted the upper-level investigation results; there shouldn’t be any missing information.

Kerry? The name seemed so familiar.

Gu Tong raised her eyebrows slightly, smiling like the breeze, ”Sir, let me introduce myself. I am a doctor, brought here to heal and save lives, not an underling of your enemy.”

”But you have a weapon to my head!” If that’s not an enemy, what is?

”Sir, it’s surprising you think so. If I hadn’t put a weapon to your head, you wouldn’t know I was a doctor.”

”...” The leader didn’t deny it.

By the time they discovered it, this female doctor would likely have turned into a corpse.

”Your goal is to survive; I can let you go! But you must promise not to do anything detrimental to us!”

The leader was clever and could see the situation clearly. As long as this female doctor withdrew her weapon, he could still compete with Kun! Moreover, they outnumbered Kun and Misya significantly.

”Beckett, there’s no point in futile resistance! Your people are outside. If Ms. Gu goes out, she’ll be shot directly! It’s safer to hold you hostage!”

Kun was worried Gu Tong might waver, so he outright stated this. He understood Beckett’s skills; with one weapon aimed at him, he might escape, but with two, he wouldn’t stand a chance!
