Elias’s POV

Four hours ago, Noah had dinner served to my room.

In the picture, he was looking at the camera. His blond hair looked like he ran his fingers through the strands over and again till they got tired of the act.

Three hours ago, Noah was sitting on my balcony staring at the moon.

He had his arms wrapped around himself and his forehead was rested on his knees, completely unaware of Lucas’ watching eyes and camera.

Two hours ago, Noah was standing in front of my rock collection.

The prettiest rock on my shelf didn’t match his beautiful. No, not even from behind. His arms were wrapped around his middle like he’s warding a stomach away.

One hour ago, he refused to open the door for Lucas.

Lucas sent the picture of my white door, and I want to kill him.

When I get home, I’ll pin him against the wall, and let him stay there for four hours till he begs for his life.

Maybe I’ll involve Damien. He’s need to let out some tension, the omega who caught his attention during our meeting didn’t care about him.

Another hour is approaching and Lucas still isn’t doing what I asked him to. Yes, I’ll let Damien handle him for me, then I’ll get cameras.

My eyes are still fixed on my phone that is lying on table.

One of my hand is holding up the fork of noodles. And in my pocket, my other hand is wrapped around my pocket watch.

Two thousand four hundred and twenty four.

That’s the number of many seconds that has passed since Lucas last message, a refusal to send me a picture of my...new rock, the angel.

I’ve been counting the seconds since then, feeling every tick that is happening within the metallic case.

”At least pretend to enjoy the dinner with us” Damien’s snicker bring me back to the restaurant.

He’s smirking at me, his dark hair is in a man bun as he gives me that look. He’s hungry for chaos and I’m his nearest target.

”I don’t live for pretense, brother” I say, lifting the cold noddle to my mouth.

”Jeez, you two are the most boring fucks to ever exist , especially that one” he points at our youngest.

Kai is currently scowling at the green bottle of alcohol we just had. He looks like he blames all of his troubles in life on the bottle.

”Won’t we talk business instead of...this?” he asks and Damien groans.

We traveled to south Korea to meet with a new client. I would rather be in my room watching my mate, but we’re here drinking and eating.

The client wants us to kill his tyrant grandfather, his offering isn’t good enough, so we said we would think about it. My brothers and I were going to reject it but the man’s mate gave us a more interesting offering.

All of his inheritance will be ours. It’s rich and tempting, but still, my brothers and I won’t be going in blind.

We have to weigh all of the options.

”Do we really have to make the Kang captain wait till the end of the year? I mean, we can go in now and kill everyone involved”

”We would risk starting an anarchy. If we will force them down, we will force them down and set up a leader” I say and Damien scoffs.

”An anarchy is better than having a leader who might start a revolution” my older brother says.

Uninterested in our conversation, Kai slurps Damien’s noodle.

”If a leader starts a revolution, picking àand breaking him in front of everyone is more than enough to calm them” I say.

That’s my tactic.

Pick the icon, the leader, the head and break them.

”But an anarchy is forever branded in memories and history. When you scar every single one of them, not one of them will think of supporting a rebel” Damien’s playful smirk turns dark.

That’s us. Death and War.

I pick and kill the most effective one, leaving the rest to fear my name. My brother picks apart everyone and leaves them to fear his name.

”Your phone, philosopher” Kai points at my ringing phone.

It’s mom.

”You better not tell him what we’re up to” Damien hisses.

”I’ll tell him what I want” I throw at him, picking the phone and leaving the restaurant to accept the call.

”Mom” I say and I hear his hum.

”Where are you boys?” he asks.

”South Korea” I say and he hums again, soft and light, the way he does when he’s watering his flower.

”Don’t get entangled with a man called Kang, he’s elderly. At least tell your father about it before you move” he advises and I wince.

Kang’s grandson is exactly who we came to have a meeting with. Mom is always three steps ahead of us.

”How are you?” I ask him softly.

”Missing my boys. Now, you will have to explain why you have Noah trapped in our home” he says.

I knew it would come, but I also know, mother knows me well enough to know that I do nothing without thinking it through.

”He’s mine mom” I say.

”I heard that, I need to know when he became yours” mom insists.

”He became mine from the day he gave me his cherry blossoms to me” I say and he pauses.

I know he understands and yet he doesn’t. But mother, my perfect mother understands me better than anyone.

”You know, one day you’ll tell me everything in plain words, my little pocket watch” he says softly and I hear the door open on his side of the call.

”Yes mom, I’ll tell you soon. Should I end the call?” I ask.

I don’t get a response, instead, I hear the conversation in the background.

”Luna, the new omega has gone into heat” the person says with a hushed tone and mood spine straightens.

”Mom, is it my Noah?” I ask.

”He’s calling Mr. Elias Deus’s name” the person in the background continues to talk and I growl.

”Mom can you hear me?” I call loudly, but conversation is ongoing. I hear mom’s movements and the panicked voice of the maids.

”Keep him in Elias’s room. I will take down any alphas I see around him” Mom orders.

”Mom!” I call again, gripping the phone tightly.

”Elias? Is he coming? Where is Elias?” I hear Noah’s voice ask and I freeze in place with the phone to my ear.

My alpha is stirred up just from hearing our possession’s broken voice.

Noah is in heat and he’s calling for me.

”Eli, you have to come home immediately. I’m afraid his omega has latched on to your scent” mom says and without further words, I sprint for the car.
