Noah’s POV

My sight is blurry as I’m pulled out of the room too.

They made sure Zane is taken away from me before taking me out. I stumble over nothing, but my heart is racing widely.

I didn’t even get more than ten minutes with him...I never felt more cheated in my life.

”Wait” I rasp.

”Hand him over” Aria’s flat voice says and the person dragging me out hands me over to her.

”Let me go! Take me back to Zane” I fight against her, but my attempts are useless. She’s a strong woman, and I’m a weak man.

Her grip around my arm is firm, and she completely the process of dragging me out, taking me back to the entrance.

Her hold is strong enough to hurt but not hard enough to bruise.

”Zane!” I shout, startling the prisoners in the other cells.

”Shut the fuck up, or else I’ll bash your sorry head against the wall” he says.

My sense tell me not to make another noise. I follow her, shaking from the feelings of seeing my soul mate, the member of my two members pack.

Noah and Zane, everyone knows not to separate us...

”Take him and get him the fuck away from here before I lose my temper” Aria shoves me into Lucas’s chest, and the alpha catches me.

Lucas warps his arms around me.

”Hey, you can’t hurt him. Elias would flip” Lucas growls at the woman.

”Getting Eli to flip is worth it, I’d end this piece of fancy trash and die a good death” Aria spits and I can’t take it anymore.

”You’re a monster like the rest of them!” I yell at her.

My voice comes out rough and weak, but I don’t care about the way my throat hurts. All of them are monsters. They’re taking Zane from me again and all I have left is my voice.

”You’re a monster!” I yell and Lucas suddenly shakes me violently.

”Shut up!” he hisses at me.

I squeeze my eyes shut to fight against the headache his action is causing me. I’m sick of crying, I’m sick of all of them...I want Elias to come back.

”No! I want you to stop treating me like this” I yell and he stops shaking me.

I immediately calm down, my breath is coming out harshly as I look into his face. Aria scoffs before leaving.

She slams the door loudly and Lucas’s grip on me slightly eases.

He’s still holding me roughly, but not to the point that I feel his fingers digging into the soft part of my arm.

”You’re Mr. Deus, a member of the Deus family”

”I am not” I spit out, energized by seeing Zane.

”Listen to me” Lucas growls, shaking me again to keep my attention, and my lips snap shut.

”Noah, you can do whatever you want, but I won’t let you talk down on my twin sister” he snarls in my face and I blink in disbelief.

What? Aria is his twin sister? Why are they so different from each other?

”Why is she doing this to me? Why does she hate us so much? Zane and I have never done anything to her” my voice shakes and Lucas drags me away.

”Let’s just go” he says.

”No, you need to explain! I’ve never seen you in my life, I don’t know her- argh” I groan as he forces me to move.

Ever since my kidnap, I’ve been turned into a life-sized doll here in Gotteigen. I’ve been dragged and thrown around how ever my ’handler’ sees fit.

Without looking at me, he takes me out of the basement and back to the hallways. The stuffiness in the air is gone, but I can still feel the oppression, and I can still smell my best friend’s sweet apple scent.

Lucas comes to a stop when we’re at a good distance from the hell we just visited.

We are back to the bright side again. The place is full of sunlight, and the light is bouncing off the surface of so many blue designs.

This place could have been mistaken for heaven, but I just came out of the hell.

”My sister and I are originally from Winslow” Lucas says and his words instantly kills the stubbornness growing in my chest.

”That’s...that’s not possible...” I say and Lucas scoffs.

”Pose” he says, and I frown as he holds up something.

It’s a black smart phone. This is when I pay attention to it, he has been holding the device all day. He tilts it in a weird angle and I stand still, eyes fixed on the cameras as the phone’s light flashes.

He’s taking a picture of me.

Has he been doing that all day?

”Lucas-”

”Your husband asked for hourly updates” he murmurs, typing away while I stare at him with confusion.

”Lucas...you and Aria...”

”Are from Winslow” he repeats, shoving the phone into his pocket.

”That’s--”

”Not true? A lie?” he interrupts me even before I can complete my thoughts. Lucas laughs softly, putting his hands on his waist and tilting his head.

”We used to enjoy the ’Individual Day’ when everyone celebrate their differences. You used to wear pink a lot” he says and I shake my head.

Only a real citizen would know this.

”If you know this much, why are you with these inhumane beasts? Why aren’t you home where it’s safe?” I push my hands into his chest.

He can’t do this to me. He can’t tell me we share the same home and suddenly act like he’s not telling me something important.

”Are you the reason they invaded us? You betrayed our home?” I ask some more and Lucas takes a deep breath.

”For your safety, I’d advice you not to hit me again, Mr. Deus”

”Why would you betray us? These people castrated you!” I shout and a maid who is passing by gives us a judging look.

”You think the Deus family castrated me?” Lucas asks incredulously, catching my hands before they hit his chest again.

”Didn’t they?”

”Oh Noah, you’re really as stupid as I thought you were” he says and I feel more insulted than I’ve ever felt.

I’m anything but stupid. I had the best education at home. I was supposed to further my education before the Gods turned my life upsidedown.

”Let me go” I say.

”You think they did this to me?” he asks again.

”You know absolutely nothing, Noah. You have no idea what Elias did for you” he pushes my hands away from me.

I stumble backwards and my back hits the wall.

”I don’t want to fight with you. It’s not in my place, but really, the sooner you accept your new life the better” he says and gestures for the door.

I stare at Elias’s room door. My omega is yearning for the alpha’s space. The oddly familiar scent and the visuals of his room.

”When is he coming back?” I ask quietly.

”Soon” Lucas says curtly, taking a step back as I head for the door, ”stay in the room and cool off” he add.

”And Noah, don’t open the door for anyone”

”Why?”

”I can smell your heat”

What?
