Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 3120: Chapter 3056: Before the Wedding

It seems that everyone is very busy these days and doesn’t have time to carefully look after children. Generally, it’s a matter of working while minding them, so they can only use a strap to carry them, and if the child cries, it’s convenient to rock them a bit to soothe them.

But she thinks her future child might have time for better care, right?

At least she can hire a nanny.

Or if worse comes to worst, she’ll take care of the child herself.

If she takes care of them herself... then she won’t be able to continue with school unless she graduates first before having children.

Whether she has children or not will follow the natural course; she’s decided that if it happens, she’ll have them.

”Little, shall we head back? Tonight, let’s go to the Capital City Grand Hotel for dinner.” Meng Xinian’s voice brought Jiang Xiao back to reality; she realized she’d been thinking too far ahead.

”Okay, let’s head back first, put the luggage at home, and rest a bit before going to the Capital City Grand Hotel.”

”No need to be so extravagant, right?” Chiang Songhai quickly said, ”Let’s just go home, buy some groceries, and cook ourselves. I’m not tired; I can cook.”

Ge Liutao also said, ”No need, I’ll do it. You all took care of the child more on the journey, and I even took a nap on the train. I’ll buy groceries and cook; I know where the market is.”

After all, they’ve previously lived here for a period.

”Grandpa, Grandma, you rode on the train all day. Even though you were sitting and not moving, being seated for long periods and traveling can be tiring. Tonight, we’ll eat out, and tomorrow we’ll cook at home.” Jiang Xiao decisively pulled them into the car.

Chiang Songhai and the others exchanged a helpless look.

On matters like this, they never manage to convince Jiang Xiao, and they usually end up listening to her.

The food at the Capital City Grand Hotel is indeed tastier than at average restaurants. Jiang Xiao also invited Old Meng and Teacher Liu and his wife to join them for this meal.

After eating and returning home, Chiang Songhai and the others saw the two courtyards now joined together and exclaimed in awe at how spacious it was.

Ge Liutao was the first to think: ”In the future, when Little has a couple more, there will be space for them to run. When children are three to four years old, they need places to run and play; this courtyard is big enough.”

More talk of children.

Although Jiang Xiao wants to have children naturally, constantly talking and thinking about children like this is too much, and she wants to refuse.

”Now there are rooms for us. Uncle and Cousin in one room?”

”Sure, no problem, it’s all good,” Xu Linjiang said cheerfully. ”This way, at night we can brew tea cooked by Little and chat while admiring the moon in the yard.”

Although Mid-Autumn Festival has passed and the moon is waning, admiring it in such a manner is still pleasant.

Especially now since the courtyard has expanded, and a larger section of floral walls has been planted. The flowers are still blooming, with some lush little plantings and potted plants, making living here much more comfortable than staying in a hostel.

Everyone couldn’t help but smile.

Seeing Jiang Xiao’s life getting better and better fills everyone’s heart with joy.

Meng Xinian still needs to return to Anbu Town. With so many people at home, Ding Haijing and the others don’t come during the day, only sending someone occasionally to check if there’s anything that might need assistance.

Jiang Xiao’s wedding date is drawing so near. It’s not just Jiang Xiao who feels mysteriously tense; everyone seems to be holding a bit of nervousness for some reason.
