Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2802: Chapter 2738: Teacher Missing

Jin Lei also said to her, ”Teacher Liu has always been punctual. If something came up, he would definitely have asked another teacher to let us know. This has never happened before.”

Jiang Xiao’s heart skipped a beat.

She stood up, slung her backpack over her shoulder, and said, ”I’m going to look for him.”

”I’ll go with you,” Jin Lei stood up as well.

They went to the office, where they found other teachers present. Upon hearing they were looking for Liu Guoying, they were a bit puzzled and said, ”I find it strange too. I saw Teacher Liu this morning, but haven’t seen him at all this afternoon.”

”Did anyone come looking for him?”

”No, no one came this morning.”

”Thank you, teacher. We’ll check the dormitory.”

They went to the staff dormitory, but the door to Liu Guoying’s room was tightly locked.

Jiang Xiao stood on her tiptoes, felt around the window, and found a key.

Jin Lei widened his eyes at her.

”What are you looking at? This key was meant for me. Oh, right, sometimes Teacher Liu forgets things himself and forgets to bring it.”

So, she had permission to open their door.

”But there’s a padlock on the outside. The teacher couldn’t still be inside, could he?” Jin Lei said.

”When the teacher goes to class, he always takes a briefcase with him, carrying his pens and some drawing paper. Let’s see if it’s still there; then we’ll know if he left with it. Also, he always boils a new pot of water at noon because he thinks the water from the morning isn’t hot enough for tea. If we check the temperature of the water, we’ll know if he came back at noon.”

Jin Lei looked at Jiang Xiao, somewhat speechless.

”Well, Jiang Xiao, you know Teacher Liu quite well.”

Jiang Xiao didn’t say anything; she had already opened the door and went inside to check.

Of course she knew, because she had been Liu Guoying’s student for so many years!

Though she often got annoyed with him, she truly regarded him as a mentor and was familiar with his habits.

Upon entering, she saw Liu Guoying’s briefcase on the chair.

Jin Lei had already opened the lid of the electric kettle and poured a cup of water to test the temperature.

Although steam was still rising, it wasn’t very hot.

Jiang Xiao’s face darkened.

”The teacher left not long after returning at noon and didn’t have time to boil water.”

This means Liu Guoying went out shortly after returning to the dormitory after morning classes.

Where did he go?

He knew the first period in the afternoon was his class, so he definitely wouldn’t have gone far.

”Jin Lei, go back and have the whole class look around the campus for the teacher. I’m going to the teahouse.”

”Okay!”

They each took their separate tasks.

As soon as Jiang Xiao reached the playground, Ding Haijing and Guan Tiezhu approached her.

”What’s going on? Isn’t it class time now?”

Hadn’t she said she was going to class? How did she come out before the class even finished?

Jiang Xiao said, ”Teacher Liu is missing.”

”Missing?” Ding Haijing frowned. How could he be missing?

People still go missing in the art academy?

Jiang Xiao said, ”Drive to the school gate and wait for me. I need to find someone.”

She only said this one sentence, and Ding Haijing already knew who she was going to find.

”Ji Yuzhi?”

”Yes.”

In fact, Jiang Xiao herself didn’t know why she wanted to find Ji Yuzhi. She just felt that if Liu Guoying could suddenly disappear in this school, then it could only be related to Hu Xiangyong.

Because didn’t Hu Xiangyong take his blood before?
