Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2762: Chapter 2698: The Littlest Uncle

”I wonder if Aunt had a little brother or a little sister?”

Ge Xiaotong was somewhat impatient to find out.

It’s kind of strange to think about it, her own son is already so big, and now there’s suddenly such a little cousin or cousin.

And Little Bean Bun would have to call a newborn baby uncle or aunt.

This is really...

”Let’s wait for the nurse to come out and tell us.” Jiang Xiao was also very curious and had been feeling a bit of anticipation.

It’s not that she’s biased towards sons over daughters, but she had always hoped that Ge Liutao would have a boy.

That’s because Chiang Songhai and Ge Liutao had endured decades of being criticized for not having a son to carry on the family line, and this had always been a heavy burden on them from the Old Chiang Family.

If Ge Liutao had a son now, at least they would feel that the heavy stone tied around their necks had been lifted.

Additionally, if they had a son, they would be delighted and would likely focus more on him, meaning they might not be as devastated upon finding out she wasn’t their biological granddaughter.

That’s what Jiang Xiao thought.

Moreover, taking care of a child, if it’s a daughter, might feel more worrisome than raising a son.

So, it’s best to have a son.

As for herself...

Jiang Xiao thought of herself.

In the future, she wants to have a Little Princess, daughters are so warm-hearted.

If Meng Xinian dared to insist on having a son, she’d definitely have to argue with him.

”Family of Ge Liutao?” A nurse came out through the door.

”That’s me, that’s me.”

”We all are.”

Jiang Xiao and the others immediately gathered around.

”The mother gave birth to a boy, seven pounds, one ounce.”

Jiang Xiao immediately hugged Ge Xiaotong, bursting into laughter.

”Hahaha, Cousin, congratulations on having a little cousin!”

What?

Is this how you congratulate someone?

Ge Xiaotong immediately replied, ”All right, all right, congratulations to you on having a little uncle!”

”Haha, congrats, congrats!”

Jiang Xiao hugged her, joyfully jumping up and down.

The two of them were so excited for a while before they noticed Chiang Songhai standing there in a daze, not reacting at all.

What happened?

They each supported him from either side.

Jiang Xiao asked worriedly, ”Grandpa, are you okay?”

Chiang Songhai snapped out of it as if waking from a dream.

He looked at Jiang Xiao, murmuring, ”Little, did the nurse just say, say your grandma...”

Jiang Xiao picked up where he left off, repeating, ”The nurse said Grandma gave birth to a son, seven pounds, one ounce! Grandpa, you’re a dad again! And I have a little uncle!”

”Really, really!”

At that moment, Chiang Songhai also fully realized it.

His eyes turned red.

He really had a son?

At this age, could he really be a father again?

Watching Ge Liutao with her big belly for these eight or nine months didn’t feel as real and intense as the child actually being born now.

And, he really had a son.

He actually had a son.

At this moment, a nurse came out holding a baby already wrapped up.

”The baby is out, does the father want to take a look?”

Jiang Xiao immediately reached out, ”Let me hold, let me hold! Let me hold my little uncle!”

Such a little uncle!

She couldn’t help but laugh.

Holding such a tiny, soft infant in her arms made her feel like even breathing a little too loudly might frighten him.

Jiang Xiao moved with utmost gentleness, and looking at the child swaddled in her arms, she found this child to be quite beautiful.

Aren’t newborns supposed to be ugly?

How did this child turn out so beautiful?
