Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2634: Chapter 2570: A Game

Jiang Shiheng originally thought Lu Shuangshuang’s sprain was just an act, but when the skirt was lifted, revealing her foot, his expression changed slightly.

Lu Shuangshuang’s ankle was as swollen as a big steamed bun!

”Swollen so badly?”

Lu Shuangshuang bit her lower lip, ”It hurts a lot. I’m holding back tears so that Xiao Sixth doesn’t think I’m so delicate.”

Sun Han’s gaze also sharpened.

He too hadn’t expected her sprain to be real and so severe.

”It’s a serious injury. Not sure if the bones are harmed. This medicated oil might not work effectively. When the heavy rain stops, Miss Lu should go see a doctor as soon as possible.”

That Senior Master said.

Lu Shuangshuang nodded, ”Thank you, Senior Master.”

But the rain showed no signs of stopping, and Lu Shuangshuang’s ankle was swelling more and more.

”Xiao Sixth, sitting here is too painful. Tell the Senior Master to prepare a room for me. I want to rest.”

”Hmm.”

Seeing her in such condition, Jiang Shiheng couldn’t say much, so he let a bodyguard speak to the Senior Master.

The room was quickly arranged, but Lu Shuangshuang couldn’t walk at all; even with someone supporting her it was impossible. Jiang Shiheng asked a bodyguard to carry her, but Lu Shuangshuang’s eyes reddened.

”Xiao Sixth, though times have changed, you know well how strict and traditional the Jiang Family and Lu Family rules are. I’ve been taught from young that men and women shouldn’t touch. Even if you bear resentment towards me, leaving me to others is not gentlemanly.”

Sun Han glanced at Jiang Shiheng and stepped forward, ”Miss Lu, can I carry you?”

Hadn’t she been saying he was different from other bodyguards?

Then surely, she wouldn’t mind him carrying her.

He wouldn’t allow Jiang Shiheng to carry Lu Shuangshuang himself.

Just as Jiang Shiheng was about to say something, Lu Shuangshuang said sorrowfully, ”Forget it, if you truly care so little, then let it be.”

Sun Han walked to her and carried her.

The small temple’s room was in the rear courtyard, through a stone corridor, and past a gate to the small courtyard.

The rain pattered, and there were no sounds, adding to the serenity.

A Senior Master led them and pushed a door open.

Sun Han carried Lu Shuangshuang inside.

”Miss Lu, I’ll place you on that chair...”

Sun Han realized something was wrong before finishing his sentence, but it was too late.

A sharp needle pierced his neck.

Sun Han instantly flung Lu Shuangshuang away, grabbing backward.

He took out the syringe, but much of the liquid had already been injected.

Lu Shuangshuang was flung to the ground, leaving her momentarily dazed.

She hadn’t expected Sun Han to react so quickly even then, casting her aside without hesitation.

This prevented her from injecting all the liquid.

Sun Han felt dizzy.

He shook his head, intending to dash outside without hesitation.

”Stop him!”

Lu Shuangshuang shouted immediately.

The Senior Master was already punching at Sun Han.

Her punches were fierce, with strong force, indicating she was skilled.

”Get out!” Sun Han roared, kicking towards her.
