Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2604: Chapter 2540: The Secret Place from Years Ago

Chiang Xiao quickly said, ”I know, I know, I’ll definitely tell you guys in advance. Just tell me if there’s an appropriate house over there!”

At this time, she actually wasn’t holding out much hope; she just wanted to save some time by asking Cheng Cheng.

Unexpectedly, Cheng Cheng really did have one.

”There is a place, actually, and it’s my foster father who told me about it.”

”Oh?”

”It was something my foster father prepared a long time ago. He said it was for fun, in case he ever sneaked across the coast to have some fun himself, and if the Jiang Family came looking for him, he’d have a place to hide. So he secretly bought a small house. But he hasn’t visited it in twenty years, so he’s not even sure if it’s still there. He told me last time to go check on it when I have the time. When I went, I found that the house was already quite old and had been locked up with nobody living in it for a long time, with cobwebs everywhere inside. It’s also by the sea, so it’s a bit damp.”

Is there really such a place?

Chiang Xiao’s eyes lit up, ”Can it not be lived in?”

”Right now, no, but if you find someone to clean it up well and do a little renovation, it’s possible to live in. It’s just that not many people live in that area at all, living there might be a bit too quiet.”

”No problem, no problem, a place like this is perfect for hiding! Do you have the key?”

”The key has long been missing. My foster father told me that when I went to renovate it, I should just smash the lock off and replace it.”

”Then don’t go messing with it for now. You give the address to Guan Tiezhu so he can check it out when he goes back, just a bit of cleaning and a new lock should do. This house is mine, don’t you dare take it from me!”

Such a place seemed perfect to Chiang Xiao.

What’s to fear about dirt and oldness; she just wanted it as a station point.

With that, she only needed to find another station point between the small town and there.

Actually, she might not even need another station, since it’s not a direct route from the Capital City to there, there probably won’t be any issues.

Cheng Cheng couldn’t help but laugh again.

”I say, girl, if you’re going to fight over something, at least choose something good. Fighting over such a shabby house with me?”

”Yep, I’m after this shabby house. Anyway, you stay away from it. I’ll renovate it myself when I get there. I want a little house by the sea to manage on my own.”

”Alright, alright, if you want it, it’s yours, I have no use for that shabby house.”

After hanging up the phone, Guan Tiezhu was watching him, glancing again at the wooden bead in his hand, then Cheng Cheng let out a snort and put the wooden bead on.

Alright, alright, isn’t wearing it enough?

”I’ll draw you a map, there’s a little house by the coast. Little wants you to go there and clean it up a bit first, then replace the lock.”

Guan Tiezhu nodded.

Cheng Cheng drew him a simple map indicating the location of the small house, and couldn’t help but glance at Guan Tiezhu again.

He knew the bodyguards around Chiang Xiao were all found by Meng Xinian, and now it seems these people are quite reliable, they strictly follow Chiang Xiao’s orders.

He was quite satisfied with this.

After Guan Tiezhu left, he took a boat across to the other side, followed the map, and indeed found that little house by the sea.

The place was slightly desolate, but it wasn’t a long walk to the dock, and it’s convenient for crossing to D State.

It’s just that the house was indeed small and old, and the lock was already rusty.
