Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1947: Chapter 1883: A Bit of Enmity

”What news?”

”It’s like this,” Pheng Fei said, ”There’s a privately organized painter’s alliance here, called Sjöv Painter’s Alliance.”

Pheng Fei’s introduction made Chiang Xiao feel that things might not be that simple.

However, upon hearing about the Sjöv Painter’s Alliance, her heart suddenly skipped a beat, feeling shocked.

Her lips moved slightly, but she swallowed back the words that had reached the tip of her tongue.

She almost said something wrong.

Sjöv Painter’s Alliance.

She had heard about it before.

Moreover, she’d heard about it quite a few times.

Of course, usually she wouldn’t keep such things in mind, nor would she think about them when idle, but hearing Pheng Fei mention it now, she naturally remembered.

At this moment, the Sjöv Painter’s Alliance was still a very private organization, so except for a few people in the Country Y circle, no one else had heard of it.

But Chiang Xiao knew, in a few years, stepping into the nineties, this Sjöv Alliance suddenly gained fame internationally.

At that time, the Sjöv Alliance even became a dividing line for painter rankings.

Meaning, those who could join the Sjöv Painter’s Alliance were considered an honor, a symbol of identity and wealth, a peak in a painter’s career.

Just like actors winning best actor or actress awards.

It’s a kind of gilding, a kind of honor.

She remembered Ye Wanqing was always striving to join the Sjöv Painter’s Alliance.

And for that, Deng Qingjiang pushed her for a period of time to paint large works, those grand scenes with content that could stir hearts, otherwise letting her paint extremely eye-catching nudes.

Because these three types were most favored by the Sjöv Painter’s Alliance.

Oh, yes, for that, Deng Qingjiang even once mentioned finding her a few nude models?

”Miss Chiang? Miss Chiang?”

While talking, Pheng Fei noticed Chiang Xiao was somewhat distracted, and couldn’t help raising his voice slightly to call her.

”Oh,” Chiang Xiao snapped back to reality, saying, ”I’m listening, please continue. This, whatever alliance, I’ve never heard of it, have I?”

Liu Guoying was also a bit curious, ”Hmm, I’ve never heard of it either.”

Pheng Fei said, ”It’s not surprising you haven’t heard of it because this Alliance is actually very small, just a few wealthy individuals forming it. Oh, the founder’s name is Sjöv, so he simply named the alliance the Sjöv Painter’s Alliance.”

Chiang Xiao touched her nose.

She secretly thought to herself, Tyrant Meng, finally someone more narcissistic than you.

Previously she knew about the Sjöv Painter’s Alliance, but didn’t know where the name came from.

Now she knew.

”What does this have to do with my student then?” Liu Guoying asked with furrowed brows.

Wealthy people?

A painter’s alliance created by wealthy people, shouldn’t have anything to do with Chiang Xiao, right?

Chiang Xiao simply didn’t know them, and they’re from different countries.

Pheng Fei said, ”It’s like this, you may not know, there’s a bit of a small grievance between Sjöv and Mr. Wen Li.”

”The founder of the alliance, and the people in this competition?”

”Yes, exactly Mr. Wen Li,” Pheng Fei said, ”At that time, Sjöv wanted to join Mr. Wen Li’s side, but Mr. Wen Li refused him, saying the Sjöv family were just nouveau riche, inherently vulgar, didn’t understand painting or art, and had no qualification to join them.”

There’s grievances like this?
