Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1918: Chapter 1854: Who Is It After All

”Chiang Xiao, do you still remember Old Master Bai?”

Just as Du Jinruo said this, Chiang Xiao felt a bit on guard.

She suddenly realized what Du Jinruo meant by saying the painting’s requirements were special.

The painting Du Jinruo wanted to buy this time was definitely not an ordinary one.

But how did she know Old Master Bai?

”Hmm, and then?”

”A friend of mine saw a very peculiar painting at Old Master Bai’s place. When you stand in front of it, you can feel the uniqueness, making you truly sense the mood within the painting. So, he wants to buy such a painting too, and he found out it was painted by you. He’s already planning to look for you.”

As Du Jinruo said this, her face turned slightly red.

She continued, ”However, he can’t find you at all, and even if he could, it would take a lot of time. So, I want to buy it for him first.”

”Who is it?”

”This...” Du Jinruo’s face suddenly flushed, ”His identity is not important, for now just treat it as if I’m the one buying the painting.”

Chiang Xiao caught her blush and suddenly found it quite intriguing.

Did Du Jinruo have a new romantic interest?

Had she completely let go of Tyrant Meng and wanted to start a new relationship?

However, it still sounded a bit strange. The person wants to buy a painting, and she rushed over to buy it first and then give it to that person?

Is this a case of taking the initiative?

”What are your requirements?”

”I want to paint a house, an old mansion.” Du Jinruo said, as she took out a pencil sketch from her bag.

The sketch was very simple, just a very beautiful old house, but it was decently drawn, at least enough to show what the house looked like.

But for some reason, Chiang Xiao kept feeling that the house looked a bit like the Meng Family Old Mansion.

”Just paint this house, and add features like the courtyard, trees, etc. Across the road from the entrance, put in a small pond, with lots of bamboo by the pond. Just paint it like that. I don’t know how you painted so well for Old Master Bai, but for this painting, can you achieve the same effect?”

The more Chiang Xiao looked at it, the more it resembled the Meng Family Old Mansion.

”Who drew this?” she asked.

Du Jinruo had visited the Meng Family many times, she should have been able to recognize it.

”This was... ” Du Jinruo didn’t expect Chiang Xiao would pursue this question, she thought Chiang Xiao would only talk about the painting’s requirements and price.

”Not convenient to say?”

”I drew it,” Du Jinruo said.

Yeah right, as if.

Chiang Xiao could tell at a glance she was lying.

She felt that Du Jinruo’s behavior suggested the artist might be someone she knew, or perhaps had some connection to someone around her, otherwise, she wouldn’t act this way.

But as Du Jinruo wouldn’t say, she didn’t press further.

”I can’t recall exactly how Old Master Bai’s painting appeared,” Chiang Xiao said directly.

Since others weren’t telling the truth, why should she insist on asking?

Right now, she had a slightly bad feeling.

That someone went to the Bai Family, and saw that painting.

Moreover, the person realized the unusual nature of that painting, knew she painted it, and is planning to find her.

The painting Old Master Bai had was certainly done with the Magic Brush to some extent, does this mean someone noticed the magic in the Magic Brush paintings?

Who is that person?

If it made Du Jinruo blush, it must be a man.

He wants a painting, and wants to paint an old mansion like this, what does that mean?
