Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1923: Chapter 1859: The Sooner, the Better

If his condition is just as Doctor Chen told him, with Chiang Xiao’s medicine, he should be able to recover quickly. Chiang Xiao should be happy about that, but she still seems a bit heavy-hearted.

That means there are still other issues with his body.

”Dad, I...”

”Little, you can tell me the truth, no matter what it is, just be honest with me, okay? You probably also don’t know what to do, right?”

Chiang Xiao was indeed troubled, unsure how to tell him about it.

Although Meng Xinian had told her to discuss it with Ah Liu, she hadn’t had the chance yet.

He was about to go abroad again. Initially, she thought about waiting until they went to Country Y to meet the friend of Chen Baoshen and consulted about the cranial surgery, and then consider how to tell him.

But she couldn’t wait for that moment as Ah Liu had already guessed it himself.

Seeing how determined he was to know, Chiang Xiao bit her lip, and unable to keep it hidden, she had to tell him the truth.

If such cranial surgery were performed thirty years later, she wouldn’t be so worried because medical advancements would be much greater by then.

But it’s the eighties.

After Chiang Xiao finished speaking, Ah Liu remained silent for quite a while.

”Dad, actually, as long as we remove that thing, everything will be fine.”

”But, you think cranial surgery is still very dangerous, don’t you?” Ah Liu knew that opening up the skull is not something easily done.

It sounds very dangerous.

However, if they don’t remove that thing from his brain, he definitely wouldn’t recover.

And not knowing what that thing truly is, it’s like a thorn buried in his heart.

Who knows when it might act up and suddenly incapacitate him?

If his life and health are manipulated by such a tiny crystal, it would truly be a depressing situation.

”It is very risky, so we cannot undertake this surgery lightly.”

Now that it was out in the open, Chiang Xiao had nothing else to hide, so she decided to make things clear. ”But, the surgery still needs to be done.”

”Yes, it needs to be done.” Ah Liu immediately agreed without a second thought.

Chiang Xiao was a bit taken aback, not expecting Ah Liu to appear so calm.

”Dad, actually, you don’t need to worry too much. Even if surgery is necessary, we will carefully inquire about which hospital and doctor are the best. No matter how far, we’ll find the best doctor for your surgery.”

Chiang Xiao said, ”On this overseas trip, I’ll consult with Grandpa Chen’s friend to understand the current state of medicine abroad. If the foreign medical techniques are good, we’ll arrange a trip abroad.”

Just as Chiang Xiao finished speaking, Ah Liu shook his head.

”Go ahead and inquire,” he said, ”but for now, let’s hold off on the surgery.” Seeing Chiang Xiao about to speak, he gestured for her to stop.

”Listen to me, Little, you’re about to get married. Also, a few days before your wedding, your great-grandfather should be returning to D State. He can’t possibly stay here for so long recuperating. There are a lot of things over there waiting for him to handle.”

Ah Liu said, ”So during this time, I can’t have anything go wrong, you agree, don’t you? So if the surgery is to be done, it should at least wait till after your wedding.”

After the wedding means when?

Chiang Xiao frowned and said, ”But with matters like this, it’s better to do it sooner rather than later...”
