Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1944: Chapter 1880: Deliberately Bumping into Someone

However, it still takes a forty-minute drive from the Aifeisa Hotel to the park, which is very large, with breakfast shops near the entrance.

Pheng Fei was quite responsible; he helped them buy breakfast and only left after telling them the general layout of the park, including the distribution of restrooms.

Since there was no rush, they leisurely ate breakfast at the shop.

After taking a sip of coffee, Liu Guoying frowned deeply.

”Why do I feel that Mr. Pheng is in a bad mood?”

Liu Guoying said, ”This stuff really tastes terrible, far inferior to our tea.” Especially the tea made by Chiang Xiao herself.

Chiang Xiao quite liked coffee, finding it rich and fragrant.

”It’s not very good, he probably encountered some trouble.” Chiang Xiao also thought so. Pheng Fei was trying hard to maintain his composure, but it was still noticeable, like how he gripped the steering wheel tightly while driving, and sometimes even had a gritting expression.

They weren’t familiar with Pheng Fei after all; they had just met. So, Chiang Xiao and Liu Guoying tacitly refrained from asking, as it would seem presumptuous.

”I hope he can resolve it smoothly,” Chiang Xiao said. ”We can’t help much here anyway.”

After finishing breakfast, they entered the park.

They had plenty of time, so they strolled around leisurely, teacher and student looking for scenic spots with nice compositions.

There was a white stone statue ahead, with an abstract design. Behind it stood a flowering tree. They didn’t know what kind of flowers they were, but the pink flowers were in full bloom in winter, and a layer of pink petals covered the ground beneath, looking very pretty.

”Xiao Chiang, come stand here and look. From this angle, the circle of the statue frames half of the flower branches. Isn’t this composition beautiful?”

Liu Guoying stood in front of the statue, beckoning Chiang Xiao over to take a look.

Just as Chiang Xiao was about to walk over, a man emerged from behind the statue, walked toward Liu Guoying, and knocked him aside with his shoulder.

”Hey!”

Liu Guoying stumbled a few steps, almost falling, but thankfully Chiang Xiao caught him.

”Hey!” Chiang Xiao immediately got angry.

She helped Liu Guoying stand firm, then pointed at the man, ”You stop! You bumped into him on purpose, didn’t you?”

Liu Guoying was not standing in the middle of the path, and the surroundings were wide open with no one around, so he neither blocked nor obstructed anyone. Yet that man still bumped into him. It was clearly intentional.

”Forget it, just let it go.”

Liu Guoying quickly pulled her back.

”Let it go? He hit you on purpose!”

If he had bumped into her, she might have let it slide, as it wouldn’t have mattered much. But the man absolutely shouldn’t have hit her teacher.

Her teacher was getting older; what if he had really fallen?

Besides, she was always protective; anyone who touched her was not okay.

And after bumping into someone, that man just walked past them as if nothing happened and stood at the spot where Liu Guoying had been, facing the angle they were looking at.

That was clearly meant for Liu Guoying to show to Chiang Xiao.

When Chiang Xiao spoke to him, he acted as if he hadn’t heard.

”This is simply outrageous!”

Chiang Xiao rolled up her sleeves, ready to go hit him.

”Let it go, it’s better to avoid unnecessary trouble,” Liu Guoying kept holding her back.

”Teacher, since when did you become so afraid of trouble?”

”This is Country Y, not our place. If something happens, we can’t even explain ourselves.”
