Supreme Warrior in the City

Chaos already knew about Gu Venerable being slain. With his great vengeance finally avenged, he was extremely excited. At the same time, he felt deeply grateful to Su Yang, repeatedly bowing to thank him, and also intentionally probing in a roundabout way, trying to figure out what exactly Su Yang wanted to do.

Su Yang had already reverted to the appearance of the Heavenly Phenomenon Saint Emperor. Although Lin Ye, Feiyu, and the others all knew his situation, Su Yang could not let Chaos know about it.

Because Chaos was, after all, a native of this Great World, and moreover, he knew Su Yang’s background. Once Su Yang let him know his current situation, if this matter were exposed in the future, then the Guardian God might be able to follow this clue and trace things back to the Nine Realms, which would only bring endless crisis to the Nine Realms.

Although Su Yang was now fighting for the entire Human Clan, the Nine Realms was, after all, the place where he was born. No matter what, he would never allow the Nine Realms to face such a crisis.

As for Chaos’s probing, Su Yang did not hide anything from him. After Chaos asked twice, Su Yang simply told him directly, ”I’m going to establish a new Heavenly War Alliance!”

”What?” Chaos’s expression changed drastically; the first thing he thought of was the Heavenly War Alliance created by Gu Venerable.

This Heavenly War Alliance was notorious within the Human Clan, having harmed countless Human clansmen. Those who understood the Heavenly War Alliance all hated it to the bone whenever it was mentioned.

Now, it had not been easy for this Heavenly War Alliance to be wiped out. The Human Clan could finally be a bit more at ease, at least no longer needing to worry about being harmed by their own race. Yet now, Su Yang wanted to establish a new Heavenly War Alliance. What exactly was he trying to do?

Su Yang had brought people to kill Gu Venerable and the others, so Chaos still felt much admiration for Su Yang in his heart. But now that Su Yang wanted to take the place of Gu Venerable’s group and establish a new Heavenly War Alliance, this made Chaos feel some hostility toward Su Yang.

Seeing Chaos’s expression, Su Yang also nodded slightly. Chaos’s reaction made Su Yang very satisfied.

This was actually Su Yang testing Chaos. If Chaos didn’t care about this matter, that would mean this person was rather numb, not someone who could truly keep the Human Clan in his heart. In that case, such a person would not be worth Su Yang’s trust.

However, Chaos’s current reaction showed that he truly cared about the Human Clan. Even though Su Yang had saved him, upon hearing that Su Yang wanted to create a new Heavenly War Alliance, he still harbored hostility toward Su Yang. This was very rare. A person like this was someone Su Yang could naturally trust, because he didn’t have to worry about him betraying the Human Clan.

Chaos had no idea what Su Yang was thinking. He stayed silent for quite a while, and finally still tried to persuade him in a low voice, ”Heavenly Phenomenon, the Heavenly War Alliance has killed countless members of the Human Clan and is like a rat crossing the street among our people—everyone wants to beat it. Its reputation is truly terrible. Moreover, the fate the Heavenly War Alliance meets today is entirely of its own making. If you establish another Heavenly War Alliance, this… this really isn’t appropriate. Doing this will only make the Human Clan resist you, and at the same time, the Guardian God and the Demon Beast Clan will also move against you!”

”Heh…” Su Yang smiled faintly. ”You haven’t understood my meaning. The new Heavenly War Alliance I want to establish is not Gu Venerable’s Heavenly War Alliance, but the continuation of that Heavenly War Alliance from the Ancient Times!”

”What?” Chaos froze, staring at Su Yang in astonishment, not understanding what Su Yang meant.

”I want to carry on the will of the Ancient Heaven Warriors, oppose the Guardian God, and shelter the Human Clan and the Demon Beast Clan!” Su Yang said in a ringing voice. ”The Guardian God thinks he can cover the sky with one hand, treating the Human Clan and the Demon Beast Clan all as his slaves, free to be humiliated. He has forgotten that in the Ancient Times, the Human Clan’s Heavenly Warriors could stand on equal footing with the Guardian God. This Great World is not decided by that Guardian God alone. The Human Clan and the Demon Beast Clan are not something he can trample underfoot at will! I want to let the Human Clan and the Demon Beast Clan stand on an equal level with the Guardian God—no, I want them to stand above him.”

Chaos listened, his face full of excitement. When Su Yang finished speaking, he directly shouted in excitement, ”Well said! Well said! The Guardian God is far too arrogant and far too dismissive of our Human Clan. They treat us like oxen plowing their fields, and treat the Demon Beast Clan like beasts to be driven at their command, as if only they are the gods high above. Why? On what grounds? Someone should have stood up against them long ago, should have let them know that we are in no way inferior to them!”

After speaking, Chaos looked at Su Yang again, stirred up, and said, ”Lord Tianxiang, if you’re going to establish the Heavenly War Alliance, count me in. My strength may not be enough, but I am willing to serve you like a dog or a horse. Even if it costs me this life, I will not hesitate!”

Su Yang smiled and nodded. ”Don’t worry. Since I’ve told you all this, you certainly count as a member of my Heavenly War Alliance already. However, there are some things I still need to tell you in advance.”

”Lord Tianxiang, just say it. No matter what it is, I’ll do exactly as you say!” Chaos said loudly.

Su Yang then told Chaos about his plan to make use of the Heavenly War Alliance’s banner. Chaos was indeed a smart man; after listening to Su Yang, he understood what Su Yang meant and naturally had no objections.

Having settled things with Chaos, Su Yang felt much more at ease.

Since he wanted to use the banner of the Heavenly War Alliance, he had to have someone extremely familiar with the Heavenly War Alliance to help with this. Chaos was very familiar with the Heavenly War Alliance; with him helping Su Yang, Su Yang no longer had to worry about giving himself away.

After settling everyone down, Su Yang and his group walked out of this Death Domain.

With everything prepared, Su Yang and the others began the work of rebuilding the Heavenly War Alliance.

This so‑called rebuilding of the Heavenly War Alliance was actually the process of borrowing its banner to unite those Saint Emperors of the Human Clan.

In other words, next Su Yang and his group had to borrow the banner of the Heavenly War Alliance and start absorbing those Human Race Saint Emperors, drawing them into the Heavenly War Alliance. Only then could the Heavenly War Alliance grow stronger, and only then would Su Yang have the qualifications to negotiate with the Demon Beast Clan in the future.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. To do this, they had to start with those Intermediate Worlds, bringing these Intermediate Worlds under their command one by one.

The first Intermediate World Su Yang chose was the True Martial Realm, the world where he had once lived for several hundred years.

The reason he chose this world was, first, because Su Yang was quite familiar with the situation here. Second, because this world was about to be devoured by the Demon Beast Clan. Su Yang choosing this world was also for the sake of sheltering it.
