Supreme Warrior in the City

Su Yang slowly nodded, ”In that case, let’s choose the Moon Gazing Rhinoceros!”

Next, Su Yang led the Golden Phoenix and the Three-legged Colorful Crow and easily killed the Moon Gazing Rhinoceros, occupying its territory.

Afterward, as before, they sent a letter of allegiance to the Six Trigrams Saint Venerable. Then, the spiritual source of the Moon Gazing Rhinoceros came under Su Yang’s control, and the cultivators of the Nine Realms began to spread out and cultivate near these two spiritual sources.

Another ten years passed, during which several more individuals in the Nine Realms achieved sainthood, pushing the Nine Realms’ strength to an unprecedented level. The power of the Nine Realms now was at least three times stronger than before, something none of the Saints had ever anticipated.

During this time, Su Yang also felt increasingly clearly the threshold of the Saint Venerable Realm. Now, he was truly just one step away from entering the Saint Venerable Realm. Once he crossed this step, he could truly enter it.

Everything proceeded as usual, until shockingly news arrived from the Nine Realms while Su Yang and the others were focused on their cultivation.

Recently, the Beast Tamers once again launched a fierce beast attack against the Nine Realms. And this time, among the fierce beasts attacking the Nine Realms, there appeared a Sub-Saint Beast!

Previously, the fierce beasts used by the Beast Tamers to attack the Nine Realms were generally of moderate strength, mostly captured from the First and Second Regions, at most the Third Region. These demon beasts were very weak, posing no significant threat to the Nine Realms. The people on the moon could easily hold their ground without any difficulty.

However, now the situation had changed. Among the fierce beasts attacking the Nine Realms, there appeared a Sub-Saint Beast—an unprecedented occurrence.

This was a disaster for the Nine Realms.

Beast Tamers had begun driving Sub-Saint Beasts to attack the Nine Realms. What if they next used Holy Beasts, or even Saint Venerables?

Once the fierce beasts driven by the Beast Tamers became this powerful, how could the Nine Realms possibly resist?

Previously, Su Yang and the others felt that the Nine Realms had some time to enhance their power.

But the sudden arrival of this news made them realize there wasn’t much time left for the Nine Realms!

Upon receiving the news, Su Yang immediately hurried back to the Nine Realms to personally inspect the battleground outside the moon. Indeed, he found many Sub-Saint Beast corpses there.

This battle caught the Nine Realms unprepared. The Beast Tamers actually sent Sub-Saint Beasts, a level of encounter that hadn’t previously resulted in losses significantly. This time, however, the Nine Realms suffered heavily. Nearly ten percent of the skilled defenders on the moon perished. The Nine Realms truly witnessed the terrifying crisis of the Endless Starry Sky for the first time!

Seeing the bodies of the defenders on the moon, Su Yang’s brow furrowed tightly. None of them expected this; how had the Beast Tamers suddenly increased the strength of the fierce beasts?

”Su Alliance Leader, it seems the Beast Tamers intend to hasten their attacks on the Nine Realms!” Saint Yuqing lamented, seeing the scene of destruction while standing beside Su Yang. ”The strength of the fierce beasts attacking the Nine Realms continues to escalate. The next attack will undoubtedly be even stronger. With Sub-Saint Beasts coming, the losses on the Nine Realms side will surely not be minimal. I think we must station Saints here as garrisons. Otherwise, if Holy Beasts come next time, the Nine Realms may not have any means of defense.”

A sharp gleam flashed in Su Yang’s eyes, and as Saint Yuqing said, if Holy Beasts truly arrived and the Nine Realms were unprepared, it would be extremely dangerous.

The moon is the last line of defense for the Nine Realms. If Holy Beasts come and there is no defense on the Nine Realms’ part, the moon could be directly breached, allowing the fierce beasts to invade the Nine Realms unchecked.

Even if the Saints within the Nine Realms noticed the situation and acted to stop it, it would be too late. A large influx of fierce beasts would be beyond the Saints’ ability to stop. At that point, countless lives in the Nine Realms could be lost!

”In that case, we must discuss and ensure that we station Saints here regularly!” Su Yang nodded, ”At the very least, we mustn’t be caught off guard!”

Everyone else nodded in agreement. The crisis this time had opened their eyes, and none dared take it lightly.

After a discussion, everyone agreed that the Nine Realms Saints would take turns garrisoning the moon each year.

Afterwards, they dispersed and continued their cultivation.

However, the situation in the Nine Realms left a shadow over everyone’s hearts. They all understood that the endurance of the Nine Realms was now an unknown.

”Su Alliance Leader, if we really can’t hold on, we’ll have to resort to the backup plan you proposed!” Saint Yuqing sighed.

Su Yang had previously suggested that if the Nine Realms could not be defended, everyone would enter the World Melting Furnace, with the Saints carrying it into the Endless Starry Sky to hide.

Back when the Human World had fallen, Su Yang had done something similar.

This task was not easily accomplished. Transferring all life from the Human World into the World Melting Furnace had required significant effort. Transferring all beings from the Nine Realms into it would require even more.

Yet this was their only option should the Nine Realms become indefensible, a course of action to be taken only out of absolute necessity.

”We’ll talk about it later!” Su Yang said softly. ”If the Nine Realms truly can’t be defended, then that’s all we can do!”

All the saints nodded in agreement; none relished the thought of abandoning their homeland unless absolutely necessary.

Besides, would entering the Endless Starry Sky truly ensure their safety?

In the Sixth Region, there existed Holy Beasts, Saint Venerables, Saint Kings, and Saint Emperors. If they encountered Holy Beasts in the Endless Starry Sky, they might still stand a chance. But encountering Saint Venerables or Saint Kings and Emperors would surely spell their doom.

Even as the strongest in the Nine Realms, they remained very weak in the vast and perilous Endless Starry Sky.

Currently, the key priority remained to enhance their strength. Only with strong enough power could they hope to protect the Nine Realms. Even if they could not defend it, such power would aid them should they have to flee and ensure their survival!

Returning to the Sixth Region, five years passed before Su Yang and his companions took action once more. This time, they annihilated the Three-winged Purple Ape and its two brothers, seizing its spiritual source to aid the cultivation of the Nine Realms Saints.

During this time, the Nine Realms saw the emergence of more than a dozen Saints, and with only two spiritual sources, it was far from sufficient.
