Supreme Warrior in the City

The chaotic battle grew increasingly intense. After watching for a while, the Second City Lord suddenly remarked, ”Are these Fierce Beasts sick or something? They don’t even speak when they meet, just start fighting. Moreover, even after fighting to this extent, they still don’t retreat? What kind of grudge demands a life-and-death struggle like this?”

Su Yang felt a stir in his heart upon hearing the Second City Lord’s words.

He had been somewhat perplexed before, but hadn’t given it much thought. Now, upon closer inspection, the situation was indeed like this.

The chaos among the Fierce Beasts was extremely confusing; one moment these two Beasts would be fighting, the next, another pair would join the fray. There was no specific group or number of parties involved. It felt as if everyone regarded each other as enemies, fighting to the death regardless of whom they faced.

This situation was somewhat similar to what Su Yang had seen in the Jieyue Tower, where the Fierce Beasts had lost their intelligence and were only capable of insane slaughter.

Su Yang examined the Fierce Beasts closely and suddenly noticed that their eyes had some red spots.

Su Yang’s expression changed at once. These Fierce Beasts had already lost their intelligence, which was why they ended up like this.

But, weren’t the Fierce Beasts they encountered in the Endless Starry Sky all intelligent? Why had these ones lost their intelligence?

Could it be due to the effects of this planet? Did the attraction of this planet cause the Fierce Beasts to lose their intelligence?

As this thought surfaced, Su Yang was taken aback.

If that were indeed the case, then what fate awaited them after landing on this planet? Would they also lose their intelligence?

”This won’t do; we must leave here immediately!” Su Yang transmitted to the others, ”These Fierce Beasts have lost their intelligence, possibly due to landing on this planet. We can’t delay any longer!”

Everyone felt a chill about this place. Upon hearing Su Yang’s words, they dared not linger and hurriedly, quietly departed with him.

As for the battling Fierce Beasts, Su Yang and his group no longer had intentions of further training. Under these circumstances, their priority was to escape from this planet!

Moving far away from the area, Su Yang and his companions flew high into the air, attempting to chart an escape route. Yet, no matter how they traveled through tens of thousands of miles in the skies, it remained the same—they couldn’t breach the planet’s surface, bound within a thousand meters altitude.

The entire planet seemed to possess an invisible gravitational pull, firmly binding them to the surface within this kilometer range. Nevertheless, within this limit, their movements faced no restriction. This was indeed strange.

Undoubtedly, this gravitational pull wasn’t natural to the planet but deliberately placed by someone. The question remained—who had set it?

Having searched however long they could, without finding an exit, they resolved to attempt breaking the planetary restraint by brute force.

Beigong War God made the first move, producing the Pangu Banner, urging himself skyward through its power.

Indeed, he broke past the planet’s confines and emerged outside its range.

Observing this, the others followed suit, one by one leaving the area. Even Ye Wantong’s broken sword allowed her to escape the region.

Finally, there was Su Yang. Although he did not possess any Divine Artifact, when he ascended the skies, he attempted to summon his internal Illusion blade, which indeed flew forth.

While the others exerted some energy using their Artifacts to flee the planet, the Illusion blade carried Su Yang effortlessly past the constraints.

Su Yang was deeply startled, recalling his previous experiences at the Feather Spirit Palace. When the blade emerged, the Divine Artifacts submitted with a mournful cry, as if the blade was the king among Artifacts, unmatched in might.

This time, on this planet, the blade’s prowess manifested undeniably once again!

Su Yang grew increasingly curious about the identity of the Illusion. In line with what the Black Shadow in the Heavenly Sect Stele said, the blade was the Heaven-Slaying Blade.

But what exactly is the Heaven-Slaying Blade?

Su Yang knew full well that at the Black Shadow’s level, the meaning of ”Heaven-Slaying” wasn’t a casual remark. After all, the Black Shadow within the Heavenly Sect Stele meant that the Heavenly Sect wasn’t to be rivaled by something as simple as the Nine Realms!

Could the Heaven-Slaying Blade be a weapon meant for destroying the Heavenly Sect?

Su Yang pondered on this mess, breaching the planet’s surface and uniting with the others.

”We finally made it out!” Everyone sighed in relief, having worried for being truly trapped on the planet’s surface. Now, it seemed the planet wasn’t particularly dangerous to them.

Of course, this was mainly thanks to their Divine Artifacts. Had it been others without Artifacts stranded here, they would be doomed. Regardless of strength, they couldn’t leave the planet’s surface!

”We must avoid this place in the future,” remarked the Second City Lord fearfully.

Su Yang said nothing as he silently surveyed the surroundings, mentally marking the planet’s location.

”Let’s go!” Su Yang whispered.

They continued onward, distancing themselves from the planet, careful to not approach again.

However, before they got very far, they saw three Fierce Beasts howling as they were pulled down by the planet’s attraction.

The three furious Beasts struggled fiercely, showing that they possessed intelligence. But ultimately, unable to resist the planet’s pull, they fell, roaring, onto the planet.

This confirmed to Su Yang and his group that the Fierce Beasts on the planet had indeed been drawn in. Moreover, those Beasts only lost their intelligence after landing.

”What exactly is happening here?” Beigong War God wondered with a frown, ”These Beasts lost their intelligence right after being pulled onto the planet? Why is this?”

”What I am considering is whether the Beasts attacking the Nine Realms also came in the same manner?” Qi Zhishan spoke quietly.

”What do you mean?” Second Young Master Zhang asked curiously.

Qi Zhishan replied, ”Those Beasts were without intelligence too! Yet, the Beasts we observe here in the Endless Starry Sky are all intelligent.”

Su Yang’s heart stirred at Qi Zhishan’s words, sparking an idea.

Just as Qi Zhishan mentioned, how did the Beasts attacking the Nine Realms appear? Could it be connected to this planet?

Su Yang cast another glance at the planet. Clearly, this planet harbored many secrets, and he would need to investigate it further.

Perhaps uncovering the planet’s secrets would clarify the main reason behind the Nine Realms’ attack. Understanding this reason might resolve the crisis and alleviate the Nine Realms’ concerns over threats from the Endless Starry Sky!
