Supreme Warrior in the City

Su Yang glanced at the Heavenly War God, something he hadn’t expected. The Moon Tower in the Human World was actually guarded by someone from the Heavenly Realm; this was something he had never considered before!

However, since this person could endure loneliness and stay here to guard the Moon Tower, Su Yang wouldn’t doubt him. After all, if there really was a plot against the Human World, there wouldn’t be any reason to come here; this place couldn’t interfere with the Human World’s matters.

”By the way, how’s Little Huang?” the assassin asked, ”That is his pet, you didn’t let it die, did you?”

”Huh?” Su Yang was stunned, Little Huang is actually the Heavenly War God’s pet, and not the assassin’s?

”What ’huh’? I’m only taking care of it on his behalf.” The assassin said.

Su Yang looked at the Heavenly War God, astonished, because he suddenly remembered something.

Earlier, Huo Yuanzhen mentioned that Little Huang’s owner was her brother. Su Yang always thought Little Huang’s owner was the assassin, and the assassin was Huo Yuanzhen’s brother. But now, it seemed that wasn’t the case at all.

”How is Little Huang?” the assassin asked, ”You... you didn’t eat it, did you?”

”...” Su Yang was speechless, ”No worries, it’s eating and drinking well, living quite comfortably.”

”That’s good.” The assassin nodded, looked at the Heavenly War God, ”You heard that, right? I told you I didn’t eat your dog, but you didn’t believe me!”

The Heavenly War God smiled gently, cupping his hands towards Su Yang, ”Thank you, young brother!”

”No... no need to be polite...” Su Yang scratched his head, muttering softly, ”Yang... Senior Yang, Huo Yuanzhen...”

”Is my sister!” The Heavenly War God smiled.

”Huh?” Su Yang was astonished once more.

”An adopted sister,” the assassin explained.

”Adopted sister?” Su Yang was left speechless, the Heavenly War God was among the first to enter the Human World, one of the founders of the Heavenly Court. He entered the Human World so early that when he came to the moon, even Huo Yuanzhen’s ancestors hadn’t been born yet. How could they recognize her as an adopted sister then?

”In her past life, Zhen Er was my adopted sister,” the Heavenly War God explained with a smile. ”In her past life, she tragically died in battle, and I couldn’t bear to let her just die like that. I nurtured her remnant soul for thousands of years, eventually succeeding, which led to her reincarnation as the current Huo Yuanzhen!”

Su Yang suddenly understood, so that was the relationship.

”No wonder she said her adopted brother could command the Law Enforcers...” Su Yang couldn’t help but mutter softly.

”What Law Enforcers? It’s not a problem to command the Heavenly Court!” the assassin said.

Su Yang glanced at the Heavenly War God; he had no doubts about this statement.

The Heavenly War God looked seemingly harmless, but to be called the Heavenly War God, how could he be an ordinary person?

The Heavenly Court Master, even in the Heavenly Realm, doesn’t count as a big shot, let alone being compared to the Heavenly War God!

Su Yang had no doubt that if the Heavenly War God gave an order, the Heavenly Court Master would obediently comply.

However, when it came to Huo Yuanzhen, Su Yang still had another concern.

Ever since the last Investiture of the Gods crisis, Su Yang hadn’t seen Huo Yuanzhen or Lian Wanxiong. It was as if they had completely disappeared, without a trace.

According to Su Yang’s investigation, they had not entered the Investiture of the Gods and should have been overseas at that time. But further overseas investigation yielded no information, which made Su Yang very worried. Could something have happened to them?

As they chatted for a while, suddenly several people appeared up ahead.

When they saw these people, Su Yang and the others widened their eyes in surprise.

”There are people over there!” the Second City Lord exclaimed.

The assassin glanced at the Second City Lord, ”What’s the big deal about seeing people? There are already three skeletons here; none of them shouted, so why are you?”

The Second City Lord scratched his head, ”Well... the skeletons are no big deal, but... didn’t you say there are only three of you defenders on this moon? But there are people over there, what’s going on with them?”

”Those are the Defenders of the Moon from the Demon Realm!” the assassin said.

”What!?” Su Yang and the others exclaimed in unison. How did the Defenders of the Moon from the Demon Realm come here?

The Heavenly War God saw their confusion and smiled, ”The Nine Realms share one moon. Each realm has its own Moon Tower, but ultimately they all lead to here. So, the Defenders of the Moon from each of the Nine Realms are actually together, on this single moon.”

Everyone’s eyes widened, once again shocked. One moon for the Nine Realms? Can that be true?

”Are you saying, the nine realms, every realm’s moon is this one?” Qi Zhishan asked in disbelief, ”If that’s the case, then... the other eight realms wouldn’t need to enter the Human World through the Boundary Point. They could just come to the moon and then enter the Human World through the Moon Tower, right?”

”No, they can’t!” The Heavenly War God shook his head, ”Not to mention that each realm’s Moon Tower has seals left by Saints, your suggestion is simply not possible. Although every realm’s Moon Tower leads to this moon, each realm’s moon can be said to exist independently.”

”What do you mean?” Su Yang asked in confusion, it was getting more and more puzzling.

”Put it simply, those Fierce Beasts from the depths of the starry sky choose only one realm to attack each time,” the Heavenly War God said. ”Perhaps it’s the spatial limitations on the moon. These limitations don’t exist for us in the Nine Realms, but those Fierce Beasts are restricted by them.”

”For example, if they attack the Demon Realm, even if people from the other eight realms are right under their noses, they won’t attack. However, if people from the other eight realms interfere, this spatial limitation would be broken. At that time, those Demon Beasts would choose to attack the interfering realm.”

”Well, that doesn’t sound so bad!” the Second City Lord said, ”Two realms’ defenders dealing with one batch of Demon Beasts would be easier!”

”It’s not that simple!” The Heavenly War God shook his head firmly, ”To put it this way, if the Demon Realm is attacked and the Human World assists, then the Human World would be exposed to those attacking the Demon Realm. It’s highly likely those attacking Fierce Beasts might shift to attacking the Human World.”

”But the Defenders of the Demon Realm can help the Human World too!” the Second City Lord said.

The Heavenly War God shook his head, ”There are specific Fierce Beasts dedicated to attacking the Human World as well. In such a case, there might end up being an encounter where those attacking both realms join forces to attack the Human World, significantly increasing the pressure and heightening the probability of breaching the Human World!”

”How can this be?” The Second City Lord was bewildered.
