Supreme Warrior in the City

”Go home?” Mahakaya’s expression was somewhat confused, and a bit bitter: ”I’m already at home, why would I go home?”

”Ah?” Monk Wunian was stunned and asked in surprise: ”Master Uncle, did you... are you mistaken? This is the Human World, you... you are from the Buddha Domain...”

”So what?” Mahakaya glanced at Monk Wunian and said softly, ”The Buddha Domain only has Spirit Mountain and the Great Leiyin Temple, no home. The Human World can truly be considered home.”

Monk Wunian was full of confusion, he didn’t quite understand Mahakaya’s words.

Seeing Monk Wunian’s bewilderment, Mahakaya said softly, ”Do you know why the Heavenly War God chooses to remain in the Human World?”

Monk Wunian shook his head; not only him, even others could not comprehend this matter.

Mahakaya took a deep breath and said slowly, ”The gods and buddhas in the heavens are devoid of humanity.”

”Ah?” Monk Wunian was dumbfounded and after a long silence, finally said in a low voice, ”Humanity?”

Mahakaya had already walked far away and did not explain further to Monk Wunian. The gods and buddhas stand high above, how could they know the value of humanity?

Though the Human World is weak, it is the purest of all the Nine Realms.

There is kindness, there is evil, there is love, there is resentment, there is joy, there is hatred, only then is there humanity.

Which of the other Eight Realms can be like this?

Mahakaya was born in Spirit Mountain at the Great Leiyin Temple, yet he chose to take the Buddha Palace in the Human World as his home. What he wanted was not the nirvana above Spirit Mountain, but the ordinary life among all beings.

The Buddha high above Spirit Mountain at the Great Leiyin Temple is worshipped by millions, yet does he understand the sufferings of the human world?

The strength of the Buddha Domain is comparable to the Heavenly Realm, second in strength among the Nine Realms, but has it ever considered helping the Human World against other worlds?

If there is no action, the salvation of all beings is just empty talk.

Mahakaya stayed in the Human World to turn this phrase into real action.

Mahakaya was the most excellent Buddha child of Spirit Mountain in nearly a thousand years, not only because of his extraordinary talent but also his benevolence.

He could have become one of the Buddha Venerables atop Spirit Mountain, but he chose to sever the path of Buddha Venerable, just to stay in the Human World and save all beings!

The gods and buddhas in the heavens are devoid of humanity.

Mahakaya cannot change others; he can only let himself retain this bit of humanity, that’s all!

As for Spirit Mountain, it’s fine not to return.

...

Su Yang followed the principal back to Qinghe Academy and immediately started inquiring about Yang Wudi and Monk Wunian’s situation. Just what are those two doing here, there must be something up.

”Mahakaya came from the Buddha Domain?” Su Yang was full of shock; this news was something he had heard for the first time, and it was indeed shocking to him.

Who could have imagined that the master of the Buddha Palace, who greatly contributed to the Human World and single-handedly trapped the Jade-faced Judge, actually came from the Buddha Domain? Moreover, in order to guard the eight Boundary Points, he nearly sacrificed his life.

To be able to do such things, who could have thought that he was originally from the Buddha Domain?

”Not only him, but the Martial Champion as well!” the principal stated calmly.

”Ah?” Su Yang was stunned: ”Such... such what?”

”The Martial Champion is also not of the Human Clan!” the principal said.

”What?” Su Yang’s eyes nearly popped out. It’s one thing for Mahakaya not to be from the Human Clan, but for the Martial Champion not to be as well, this... this is just beyond comprehension.

”The Martial Champion is from the Demon Realm!” the principal stated calmly.

”The Demon Realm?” Su Yang was stirred, suddenly understanding why Yang Wudi sought out the Martial Champion.

Principal: ”The Martial Champion was originally a member who came from the Demon Realm to the Human World. However, he met the love of his life in the Human World, so he stayed.”

”He lived with this woman for one hundred and thirty years; later, in an attempt to forcibly break through, the woman unfortunately died. The Martial Champion was greatly affected and nearly went mad.”

”After hundreds of years of seclusion, the Martial Champion finally emerged from his gloom, simultaneously vowing to inherit the unfinished business of this woman.”

”This woman’s father was once a guardian of the moon. Her lifelong wish was to cultivate to the level of her father and succeed him in guarding the moon. Her forced breakthrough was also for this reason, hoping to succeed her father, but she ultimately failed.”

”After the Martial Champion pulled himself together, he began apprenticing under various teachers, learning extensively from different schools. From the Peak Realm of Land Immortals, he self-destroyed his cultivation, eventually falling to a mortal. Then, he cultivated again, and upon emerging, he became the top figure beneath the Land Immortals, which is the Martial Champion you know now!”

Su Yang was already full of shock; he never expected the Martial Champion to have such a story.

He had always thought the Martial Champion was a member of the Human World, cultivating step by step to reach his current level.

Now he knows that this was not the case at all.

It’s not surprising that the Martial Champion isn’t particularly concerned with matters of the Human World; his focus has always been on the Jieyue Tower.

Knowing all that the Martial Champion went through, Su Yang could understand his sentiments.

At this moment, the principal glanced at Su Yang and said softly, ”You might not know this woman, but you surely have heard of her father.”

”Her father?” Su Yang was surprised, ”Who is it?”

”The second generation Martial God!” the principal said softly.

”Ah?” Su Yang was shocked, of course, he had heard of the Martial God.

The Martial God Altar has always been the number one sect among the Ten Great Sects.

At present, the Martial God Altar also has the third generation Martial God overseeing it.

The first generation Martial God once guarded the moon.

There must be a second generation Martial God between the first and third generations of Martial Gods.

Su Yang had always wondered why he had never heard anything about the second generation Martial God.

Now, he finally heard news about the second generation Martial God, and it turns out that he was also guarding the moon!

It seems that the crisis on the moon is indeed terrifying. The three generations of Martial Gods at the Martial God Altar, the first and second generations, were all stationed on the moon, and the third generation Martial God is still cultivating, preparing to guard the moon!

”Where is the second generation Martial God now?” Su Yang quickly asked.

The principal sighed softly, ”Two hundred and eighty years ago, he went to battle in the Outer Heaven and never returned. Consequently, the person guarding the Jieyue Tower had to go to the moon to continue guarding, and the Martial Champion replaced that person and entered the Jieyue Tower!”

Su Yang gasped, does this mean the second generation Martial God died in Outer Heaven?

Su Yang is well aware of the power of those Martial Gods. The third-generation Martial God is not yet qualified to guard the moon, but his power has already reached an extreme.

The second-generation Martial God had been guarding the moon for over a thousand years. Just what level his strength had reached is unimaginable, but it must be far stronger than the third generation Martial God!

Given that situation, the second-generation Martial God still died in Outer Heaven; just what kind of crisis is in Outer Heaven?
