Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

To perfectly fulfill his childhood dream, to experience the thrill of killing foes with his sword as effortlessly as chatting and laughing!

It was definitely exhilarating and incredibly cool!

Zhang Beixing diligently trained.

Time quietly passed. In the blink of an eye, two hours had gone by.

It was May 1, 2019, at two in the afternoon.

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK—

A somewhat dull knocking sound came from Zhang Beixing’s door.

Hearing this noise, Zhang Beixing, who had been training nonstop for two hours and was now soaked in sweat and mentally exhausted, stopped his practice to investigate.

He found a completely unfamiliar man standing at the door, holding a gift.

Zhang Beixing’s eyebrows furrowed slightly. ”Who are you?”

The man set down the gift, raised his hand to his chest, and bowed slightly. ”Good afternoon, Mr. Zhang. It’s a pleasure to meet you. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Bruno Galati, an advisor from Golden Wind.”

Hearing his words, Zhang Beixing raised an eyebrow.

This strange British accent... this familiar faction.

”Are you the one who called me before?” Zhang Beixing asked.

Bruno nodded. ”Yes, Mr. Zhang. I am honored to be remembered by you.”

I see, Zhang Beixing thought with understanding. He stepped aside. ”Come in.”

Hearing this, Bruno hurriedly picked up the gift from the ground and followed Zhang Beixing inside.

Once he had set the items down, Zhang Beixing casually poured a cup of tea and handed it over, then leisurely sipped his own tea while looking at Bruno. ”What brings you here this time?”

No one visits without a reason. This time, someone from Golden Wind was visiting, and they’d even brought so many gifts. They certainly hadn’t just come to hang out. It had to be something important.

Hearing Zhang Beixing’s words, Bruno smiled faintly and took a beautifully wrapped, somewhat thick letter from his pocket, handing it over. ”Mr. Zhang, our godfather heard that you have recovered. Considering that you came from so far away to Ancient Rome and we have yet to host you, he felt ashamed. Thus, he personally wrote an invitation, asking if you have time to visit our manor so we may offer our hospitality. Please, take a look.”

Saying this, he presented the letter.

Zhang Beixing took it, opened it, and saw that the content of the invitation was exactly as Bruno described, except that the time was arranged for three days later.

Heh, so they do understand, Zhang Beixing raised an eyebrow, thinking to himself. Yet he didn’t agree immediately. Instead, he indicated he would consider it and then poured tea to see his guest out.

Seeing this, Bruno didn’t say much. He simply drank the farewell tea Zhang Beixing had served him, said, ”I apologize for the intrusion,” and then got up and left.

After Bruno left, Zhang Beixing looked at the papers folded inside the letter and a small card, his expression contemplative.

「The next day, May 2nd, Bruno did not come.」

But on May 3rd, the day of the banquet, Bruno came twice. The first time was in the morning, after Zhang Beixing had woken up. The second time was at noon, an hour before the banquet was set to begin.

This was the standard ’Three Invitations’ custom of Great Xia.

Zhang Beixing was very satisfied.

He happily accepted.

Afterward, he got into the car that Bruno had prepared in advance and headed to the Golden Wind manor.

The Golden Wind manor was currently overcrowded. The godfathers of Ancient Rome had gathered, holding their wine glasses and engaging in lively discussions about recent events. They seemed very involved in the conversation. However, it wasn’t hard to see from their occasional glances toward the door that their minds were elsewhere.

Kaiser, observing their reactions, was not surprised.

After all, the true guest of honor for this banquet hasn’t arrived yet.

But it won’t be long...

He glanced down at the time and murmured.

Soon after, an extended Lincoln Business Car smoothly drove over. The car stopped at the manor gates. The attention of everyone present was immediately drawn; all eyes turned toward it.

The driver’s door opened. Bruno Galati, the advisor of Golden Wind, got out and jogged to the rear passenger door. He opened it and, with a hand shielding the top of the doorframe, respectfully addressed the person inside, ”Mr. Zhang, we have arrived at our manor. Please step out.”

Hearing his words, Zhang Beixing responded with a ”HMM!” and stepped out of the car, immediately becoming the center of attention. However, Zhang Beixing didn’t mind and casually surveyed his surroundings.

He noted that quite a few people were gathered here.

Good, he didn’t recognize a single one.

However, from the group’s positioning and posture, Zhang Beixing could roughly deduce their identities.

At that moment, Kaiser walked over. He looked at Zhang Beixing as if seeing a long-lost friend, extending his hand, ”I’ve long admired you, Grandmaster Zhang. Meeting you for the first time, you are indeed as extraordinary as I imagined. I am Kaiser Joestar, the godfather of Golden Wind. Welcome.”

”Hello.”

Saying so, Zhang Beixing extended his hand and shook Kaiser’s lightly. His demeanor was composed and polite.

Seeing him like this, Kaiser’s smile deepened. He then proceeded to introduce Zhang Beixing to the others present.

Even though the others had already investigated Zhang Beixing thoroughly, that wasn’t important. What mattered was that Kaiser was doing this; he could leverage Zhang Beixing’s presence!

It was common knowledge that Golden Wind was declining day by day, pressured by various factions. If it weren’t for Zhang Beixing’s arrival disrupting the situation in Ancient Rome and allowing Golden Wind a chance to breathe, it wouldn’t have taken long for it to fall to a second-tier force in Rome, never to return to its peak.

Nevertheless, even though they had caught a breather, their faction’s influence was ultimately unstable due to the previous oppression. Once this period of calm passed, the factions suppressing Golden Wind might very well make a comeback. They needed someone with significant weight to hold the fort.

Clearly, Zhang Beixing—the president of the Asia Martial Arts Association, a martial arts master who had single-handedly challenged the D&E laboratory and survived being shot—was their best choice.

This also explained why Kaiser, a mafia godfather, adopted such a humble stance before Zhang Beixing. He had even gone so far as to carefully research Great Xia’s customs to invite him with the highest degree of courtesy—the ’Three Invitations.’

Zhang Beixing was naturally aware of Kaiser’s intentions, but he didn’t care. The price had already been paid. Bruno had delivered it three days earlier with those gifts, Zhang Beixing thought, his hand brushing against the Swiss bank card in his pocket that held ten million British Pounds. Reflecting on the information about the D&E Corporation enclosed in the envelope, Zhang Beixing deemed it a worthwhile deal.

...

After the introductions were complete, the banquet began.

During this time, countless people came to offer Zhang Beixing a toast. It felt much like an ordinary social dinner. The difference was that now, only mafia godfathers of sufficient stature were qualified to offer Zhang Beixing a toast. Those of lower rank, like advisors such as Bruno, didn’t even have the privilege to approach him.

”Grandmaster Zhang, a toast to you. I hope you enjoy your time in Rome.”

”You are the modern legendary warrior, unmatched in history. I hope you will have time to visit my estate for tea one day.”

”I am very fond of Great Xia martial arts and even more so of Great Xia culture. I believe we can share common ground, Mr. Zhang.”

Everyone treated Zhang Beixing with extreme respect, some even with a hint of fear. They showered him with so many flattering and sycophantic words that Zhang Beixing felt slightly overwhelmed.

Actually, no one would have anticipated that a Martial Artist could reach this position, suppressing a city with his own prowess. This would usually be unthinkable. They were accustomed to mingling with high officials and nobles who wielded immense power, significant figures in military and political circles. Yet now, even they fell short against Zhang Beixing’s martial might.

No matter your power or riches, all were subdued by martial prowess!

With such dominance, the mafia members realized the established order had been shattered. Sometimes, an invincible individual could indeed look down upon all other powers!
