Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System

Seeing them like this, Zhang Beixing’s gaze flickered. He seemed to want to say something but stopped himself. In the end, he said nothing. He just nodded and then started chatting with them about various other trifles.

As it grew late, everyone began to leave one after another. After they had gone, Zhang Beixing sat on the couch, sipped tea for a while, thought about things, and then went to bed. Before long, his long, slow breathing echoed throughout the room. Zhang Beixing slept soundly.

But in Maro, many people were sleepless that night! Foremost among them was the fraternity that Zhang Beixing had unexpectedly assaulted that evening!

”FUCK! Who can tell me what the hell happened tonight?”

”First, Zhang Beixing launches a surprise attack on our bar, kills people, and walks away scot-free.”

”Then, the missing Yeli was found in our bar.”

”For fuck’s sake! Haven’t I told you not to lay hands on these celebrities, not to touch them?”

”Is it that hard to control your fucking urges, or do you bastards simply not give a damn about your godfather’s words?”

In the lavish villa, as vases, glass, and other objects were smashed to the ground, a man’s thunderous roar emitted from within. His black face was now flushed crimson with rage, his eyes bloodshot, his fury palpable. In front of him stood several Black Ghosts. Hearing his words, they repeatedly shook their heads. ”We wouldn’t dare.”

”You wouldn’t dare my ass! Things have progressed this far; do you think saying that is still useful?”

”I should throw all you motherfuckers into the sea to feed the sharks!” the fraternity godfather cursed.

Once he finished his rant, he sat down, lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and tried to calm himself. It wasn’t that he had cooled off. That he, the godfather, could lose his composure to such an extent showed just how infuriated he was.

But what use was there in that? It wouldn’t matter how severely he cursed them, or even if he shot two of them dead on the spot; it would all be meaningless. What was done was done. The priority now was not to vent his emotions, but to figure out how to resolve this.

”Dealing with Yeli, despite the big fuss, is actually the easiest part. I’ll compensate Yeli and her company with a hefty sum. Then, I’ll spend more on public relations to control the narrative. That way, we can put this incident behind us.”

”Of course, this sum of money will be deducted from all of your shares. Any objections?” the godfather exhaled a puff of smoke, cigarette in hand, as he asked those present.

Upon hearing his words, many showed reluctant expressions. But seeing the godfather’s fury today, they didn’t dare say much and could only nod in submission.

Seeing them like this, the godfather’s grim expression softened slightly. He then waved his hand, dismissing them.

Seeing the godfather’s gesture, those present were all taken aback.

”Godfather, is... is that all?” someone spoke up, staring at the godfather with a face full of surprise and uncertainty.

”What else did you expect?” the godfather retorted.

”But, haven’t we overlooked something? Godfather, tonight’s events didn’t just involve Yeli; there was also Zhang Beixing,” another person chimed in.

As the instigator of that day’s events, how to deal with Zhang Beixing was the most crucial and essential matter. Yet, after discussing Yeli, the godfather hadn’t mentioned Zhang Beixing at all. This frustrated them, and suspecting the godfather might have forgotten him, they spoke up as a reminder.

In response, the godfather simply took a drag from his cigarette, remained silent for a moment, then slowly asked, ”So?”

”So... uh... Godfather, shouldn’t we discuss how to deal with him?”

Upon hearing this, the godfather let out a cold laugh. ”Deal with him? You tell me, how should we deal with him?”

”Of course, we find out where he is, catch him off guard, and kill him straight away!” The Black Ghost who had spoken earlier made a throat-slitting gesture, his face a mask of cruelty and bloodlust.

His words immediately earned nods of agreement from the other Black Ghosts present. That damned Great Xia man! He dared to mock their Black community and even attack their fraternity on Ancient Rome’s turf—he truly had a death wish! Doesn’t he know where he is? Did he really think he could act so recklessly here?!

Unexpectedly, upon hearing this, the godfather immediately rebuked without hesitation, ”Fools!”

What were they? They were a criminal organization operating on the fringes of the law. Once exposed, they’d be dead! Just for that female celebrity Yeli, they already had to pay a fortune to settle things. Not to mention Zhang Beixing, whose current global popularity and attention far surpassed even Yeli’s. If they were to kill him without reason...

”Have you considered the consequences of that?” the godfather asked.

As he said this, the room fell silent. The Black Ghosts pondered their godfather’s words.

After a moment, someone finally spoke up, ”The consequences... But... he attacked our bar and killed thirty-two people, didn’t he? Under these circumstances, surely we can retaliate?”

”Yes, under those circumstances, there wouldn’t be a problem!” the godfather conceded, not denying the point. But then, his tone shifted abruptly. He looked at the Black Ghost who had spoken and countered, ”But I ask you, where’s the evidence?”
