”To our future, and to everyone who is about to become an Upper-Class Adventurer, cheers!”

Overjoyed, Furina raised her hand high to grab a full mug of ale on the table.

However, just as her hand reached halfway, a hand reached out from the side and snatched the ale away with lightning speed.

”Huh?” Furina froze for a moment, turning back in dissatisfaction, only to meet Aiden’s half-smiling gaze.

Before she could voice her protest, Robin on the other side had already tacitly handed over a glass of freshly squeezed juice emitting a sweet fragrance.

”Furina, drinking this is the same for celebrating,” Robin’s voice was so gentle it could drip water.

Aiden knew too well.

His Goddess was a hopeless sweet tooth who basically never touched alcohol.

One could guess her alcohol tolerance with their toes.

Once she got drunk, given her personality of loving face and being competitive, if she accidentally lost her composure or made a fool of herself, she would definitely cry into her pillow for three days and three nights when she recalled it later.

Aiden didn’t want to face a crying, tantrum-throwing Furina.

Robin’s thoughts coincided with his.

In front of their own people, it didn’t matter how silly or rowdy Furina was; that was actually a unique joy between family members.

But in front of outsiders—especially the Takemikazuchi Familia with whom they had just established a friendly relationship—it was better to let her retain a bit of dignity as a god.

It was enough for them to know her goofy side.

”What do you mean? I am the God of Water. Water and alcohol aren’t that different.”

Of course, Furina was a bit unconvinced. She puffed out her small chest, trying to defend herself. ”My tolerance is very good. I won’t get drunk.”

Seeing her pretending to be calm while her eyes were already starting to dart around, Aiden couldn’t help but lean into her ear. In a voice only the two of them could hear, he smiled teasingly:

”My dear, great Goddess Furina, you wouldn’t want the sight of you jumping on the table and singing in front of so many people after getting drunk to be recorded, would you?”

”!”

Hearing this, Furina’s body shuddered violently.

She actually didn’t know what she would look like after getting drunk, but the scene Aiden described made her scalp tingle just imagining it.

Associating it with those adventurers she had seen on the street making fools of themselves after drinking, Furina immediately retreated.

No, absolutely not.

She, Lady Furina, the Goddess of Justice, how could she do something so undignified?

”Ugh... I got it, I got it. I won’t drink, okay...”

Furina wilted immediately. Muttering quietly like a defeated kitten, she reluctantly took the juice from Robin’s hand and held it obediently.

This scene, full of the breath of life, was taken in by Mikoto at the neighboring table.

Looking at the Goddess who was puffed up with anger one second and became incredibly obedient the next, she couldn’t help but lower her voice and whisper to Hyacine beside her:

”Um... I feel like, Goddess Focalors... is so cute.”

She had never seen a god like this.

No lofty majesty, no distance that kept people away. Instead, she was like a girl next door who was pampered by her family and had a bit of a temper—real and vivid.

”Right? Right?”

Speaking of this, Hyacine immediately got excited. With little stars in her eyes, she puffed out her chest proudly. ”Our Fu-bao is the world’s number one cutie.”

...

Just as Aiden and the others were exchanging toasts and enjoying the delicious food and laughter among companions, the rustic wooden door of the pub was pushed open again, and a louder wave of noise flooded in.

Leading the group was a slender Goddess with red hair and squinting eyes.

As soon as she entered the room, she opened her arms and shouted in her trademark Kansai dialect, ”Mama Mia, I’m here to give you business!”

”It’s... it’s the Loki Familia.”

”Look, it’s the ’Sword Princess’ and ’Nine Hell’!”

”And ’Braver’ and ’Elgarm’... Heavens, the executives are almost all here!”

The atmosphere in the originally lively pub was instantly pushed to another climax by the arrival of this group.

All the adventurers subconsciously lowered their voices, casting their gazes toward the door in unison. Their eyes were drawn to the top adventurers beside Loki who looked like they had walked out of a heroic epic.

Their whispered conversations were filled with awe, longing, and the excitement and disbelief of seeing legendary figures with their own eyes.

However, one of these big shots didn’t care about the surrounding gazes at all.

”Ah, it’s Mr. Hero!”

The Amazon girl with healthy skin and long black hair—Tiona Hiryute—clasped her hands behind her head and spotted Aiden in the crowd at a glance.

Her eyes lit up instantly. She let out a surprised cry, then ran over to Aiden like a gust of wind, bouncing all the way.

”I’m Tiona Hiryute. What’s your name, Mr. Hero?”

She leaned on the edge of the table without reservation, staring at Aiden with sparkling brown eyes. ”I saw the battle yesterday, you know. It was really too cool, so blood-pumping! I really like you!”

This sudden, overly enthusiastic self-introduction left Aiden somewhat helpless for a moment.

Beside him, Robin, Tifa, and Hyacine almost simultaneously showed expressions of vigilance.

They had more or less heard of the fierce customs of the Amazon race—this uninhibited warrior race had a tradition of directly knocking out men they fancied and dragging them home to have children.

”Oi, stupid Amazon. Stop being in heat over there and causing trouble for others.”

Just as the atmosphere was getting a bit subtle, a voice dripping with obvious mockery rang out.

The werewolf youth Bete Loga walked over lazily with his hands in his pockets, getting Aiden out of the predicament.

”What did you say, stupid dog? Say that again if you dare.”

Tiona immediately got unhappy. She turned around abruptly, baring her teeth at Bete in dissatisfaction.

Seeing a brawl about to break out.

”Hey, hey, don’t fight. Otherwise, Mama Mia will throw us out. I don’t want to be thrown out; that would be too embarrassing.”

Goddess Loki inserted herself between Bete and Tiona with a grin, separating the two.

Then, her squinted eyes opened a sliver. Her golden pupils scrutinized Aiden seriously for a couple of seconds before her gaze finally landed on Furina beside him.

”Oh my, so it’s your Familia, Focalors. You eternal shut-in, your luck isn’t bad to actually find such an interesting kid.”
